I was looking forever for a good video on the style I wanted and you nailed it thank you
Glad you liked it. Good luck with painting your Bloodthirster(s).
This was a great video. Thanks so much for going step by step. Also I really appreciate that you list all the paints and tech. Paints you used in the information section. Simply great job!
My pleasure. Glad to hear it was of use to you. Good luck with it all
Seriously you made my day. Very usefull video. That gave me faith to do them soon. Thanks sir
Amazing. Glad I could help. They surprisingly don’t take very long at all to do and are relatively simple to make look great.
“22:00 min Night out with some Merlot” 😂 awesome Video mate, will use this as a guide for my 3 bloodthirsters and skarbrand 💪
😂. Glad you found it useful, such a quick and vibrant scheme. Hope you get your bloodthirsters looking dapper to reap some skulls for the Big K!
Great video and great paint job.
Charles Salmon ahhh thanks. Glad you enjoyed it 😁

Thank you my man. Glad you enjoyed 👊
SKARBRAND HATES BEING PAINTED

SKARBRAND SHALL JUST BE PRIMED
HE HATES IT SLIGHTLY LESS
your colour scheme is sick
Thanks man, glad you enjoyed 😁
@@logcabingaming3710 all new to this what size magnets did you use?
I think they were 6mm by 1 or 2mm but I had to use 4 or maybe 3 in the neck part as it tapers in
If you use a blow dryer it will dry the base materials faster and give it better cracks.
Good tip 👍, Also, apparently if you put PVA glue underneath first it also helps widen the cracks AND strengthens the mixture when cured.
I forgot to ask. I noticed that when you used Mordant Earth you did not use PVA glue. Is that the usual case when you use that technical paint.
Yes, i didnt use PVA glue - not sure if it would have given me the effect i wanted. I've used it when i've done Mordant Earth on its own but found the cracks came out too large for my personal liking
how do you attach the Khorne Bloodthirster just Super Glue is it not a bit Top heavy with being on 1 foot? im painting mine at the moment and worried about this
I did it using a generous amount of the plastic glue so it melts the surfaces together but I had to use things to prop him up on place whilst the glue set
What glue did you use to attach the painted chest plating to the painted chest of the model(s)?
Just normal citadel plastic glue. I assembled the chest piece first then painted it on the side. Then when it was time to mount, a few dabs of glue on the inside to mount onto the chest of the model
Log Cabin Gaming ah ok I was wondering. Was always told the citadel plastic glue wouldn’t bond fully if you’re gluing a painted part to another painted part
No it glued it absolutely fine. The actual problem you have is it melts any paint it touches - not a problem in the scenario as the two surfaces in contact are well hidden but imagine you’re glueing an arm to a shoulder and the pressure of the contact splurges the glue out, it’s going to ruin your paintwork on and around the shoulder. I think that’s why people prefer superglue as it doesn’t melt any paintwork....well not to my knowledge anyway
Log Cabin Gaming that makes sense and yea I haven’t tried the super glue method but have heard the same. Want to stay with the plastic glue as it’s a stronger bond.
Thanks for the reply! Amazing models
Corvus Blade cheers mate. I agree they’re lovely models to paint and look fab on the table. Feel free to post pictures of yours on the Log Cabin Gaming Group on Facebook 👍
When I dry brush my paint doesn't come out smooth like yours does. It comes out dry and flaky/ clumped. Happens every time I try dry brushing which is why I normally don't do it. Lol, should have known better than to try it on this big of a model.
Ahhhh that’s a shame man. Have you tried removing practically all the paint from your brush before you try dry brushing? I practically wipe the brush dry on tissue paper before I start. You can test on your hand to see how smooth it will come out, if it’s too opaque or thick wipe a bit more off and repeat. Can’t advise on different brushes but I always use the citadel dry brushes and find them good for my needs. You can always apply a wash afterwards to smooth out any transitions. Good luck with it all, keep practising and you’ll get it. For effort vs effect ratio, this is by far my favourite technique in my painting arsenal
@@logcabingaming3710 I get it pretty dry. I feel like thats the problem. brushing dry paint lol. My blood thirster looks good from a distance. But if you pick it up and examine it there's spots that look chalky and un smooth. I don't know if that's the norm with dry brushing or it's something I'm doing wrong. But I'm not ok with it.
