Love the Double-y's! One of the most Saabish rims out there. A very cool play on Saab's 3 spoke quirkiness.
Common spots for oil leaks on the NG 9-3's.
-Oil sensor on the rear face of oil pan, pan has to be pulled to replace that o-ring. (Very common. Easy to drop the 2.0's pan, however, The V6 needs engine-pulled to fix, stupid GM...)
-Valve cover gasket fails, either dumping it down the side of motor, or filling up spark plug hole with oil, gross.
-Power steering pump inner seal fails, sucking oil from the engine, overfilling the pump reservoir and causing it to vent out the top, all over the area.
-Vaccuum pump seals go out, same thing, engine oil ooze and sometimes oil sucked into the intake, causing smoky exhaust and cat fouling.
-AC pump hose fails, leaking out the yellow AC oil, not very common on these.
-Rear diff can crack if not properly maintenanced(See Saab Dr's channel for that)
Anyone have any other areas they noticed on their Saabs?

Thought they stop selling Saab in the USA. Did you know that Saab made a 2stroke engine!.

Satin black will make plastic and rubber look like new. Try Bowdens "Mr Black" trim restorer, it's more like a black dye and lasts about a year. After using Autoglym Trim Gel for years (which only lasted about 3 weeks) Mr Black is the way to go. Svenska is coming along nicely!

    • @AutoAutopsy

yeah, trim restorer has worked relatively well for me in the past, but sometimes the trim is too far gone (see my old cowl). hopefully this will last forever!
