    This Saab 9-3 is my personal car, which I try to modify little by little to my liking, improving its shortcomings and taking advantage of its great virtues.
    It is a Saab 9-3 1.8t from 2008, with 150hp from the factory. Original injectors (same as the aero), with Mitsubishi TD04L-11T turbo that has been replaced by the Saab Aero TD04L-14T turbo. The exhaust system is original too... same with the brakes (Brembo 4-piston calipers are waiting in the garage). There are many improvements to be made but still, I still enjoy driving this car like a little kid.

    Este Saab 9-3 es mi coche personal, el cual intento poco a poco modificar a mi gusto, mejorando sus carencias y aprovechando sus grandes virtudes.
    Es un Saab 9-3 1.8t de 2008, con 150hp de fábrica. Inyectores originales (same as the aero), con turbo Mitsubishi TD04L-11T que se ha remplazado por el turbo del Saab Aero TD04L-14T. El sistema de escape es original también... igual con los frenos (Pinzas de freno Brembo de 4 pistones están esperando en el garaje). Hay muchas mejoras pendientes pero aún así, sigo disfruto como un niño pequeño conduciendo este coche.

    Im sure their is slight difference on one of the cams between 1.8t, 2.0t and the aero 2.0T.
    Your saab is looking really good,

      Hello! Sorry for the late reply.
      Yes, the camshaft is different compared to the 2.0T Aero. The 1.8t has the maximum torque at 3-4k rpm (and power at 5k) and the Aero is more progressive... for better gas mileage the 1.8t is better and for progressive/sport experience ... the Aero cams.
      Thank you for your comments. I always install the best quality material that my wallet can hehe. The car is also isolated with STP material and I have a 3-way Audison Thesis audio system + Subwoofer that sounds sooo great.

    Pedazo de curro has hecho con ese 93, si señor, que godaza ver qué Saab en España sigue vivo!Me gustaría ponernos en contacto, quiero hacer un upgrade a mi 93 viggen con componentes de DO88, voy ya por los 280hp, también gracias a AG y los componentes de origen se quedan cortos, igual me puedes echar una mano.

    Very nice, 2 questions. Do you know if the injectors in the 1,8t from 2005 is the same as the aero or only on the facelift? 2nd question, don't you need software for the turbo or is it plug and play?

      Hello!
      1- The injectors in the 9-3 1.8t 2005 have a lower flow than in the Aero, in the facelift all the injectors are the same as the Aero. This allows power to be increased to 260-270hp without changing injectors, although it is recommended since they work at 100% of their capacity.
      2 - The turbo is a mechanical part that always works without tune, but to increase the blow and pressure (bar) you need to tune with Trionic 8. The job was done by AG from Saabtuners, but you can get tunings from companies like BSR or Maptun.

      @ aah okay that makes more, I am an apprentice but still new to Saab. So if I have a maptun stg 1 can I just replace the turbo and injectors or will i have to program them?

    How did you guys manage 270HP on stock injectors and TD04-14T? This turbo has a max of it's possibilities around 255HP. Injectors are fully open from 230-235HP. Is AFR still 1 or you will cook the engin up after some time?

    I heard that the 1.8t clutch in some cases begin to slip when you tune them. How are your clutch holding up and how many kilometers does your car have on it?

      Hi! My Saab has 196k right now, and 5k ago the clutch started slipping in 4th and 5th gear in full trottle. Next week I have an appointment at the workshop to change the clutch (Maptum 450nm) and the DMF (original). Greetings!

    Hello, EU question I from Russia and very love Saab. I have 9-3 2 gerenation 2008 210 horses power , on automatic transmission , we have a problem very ears with Saba as I without the tuner get more power ? Or is it fashionable to set up through you ?

      Hi! Sorry for the late reply.
      You have the Aero version, therefore your turbo can already reach up to 280hp of power. I would recommend installing a more efficient radiator like the one in DO88 so you don't have temperature problems.
      For the tune, you can get it on the Maptum website or at BSR. I knew a reprogrammer who knew about Saab, Angel from SaabTuners, if you need the contact I can provide it.

    I have a saab and have do88 IC and AI the parts are very very expensive but very good quality, apart from having to angle grind the AI heat shield I have zero complaints.
    My main question is why are you tuning a 1.8? Please tell me it ls also not an automatic.

      Hi! I agree with you, DO88 is expensive but in my opinion it's worth it, everything looks well built, with good soldering that will work for a lifetime.
      The 1.8t have the same engine as the 2.0T except for the camshafts and turbo. The denomination 1.8t has no sense because is 2 liters equally. Here in Spain if you are under 30 years old with an Aero the insurance can cost you more than €1,300 per year. But, if you have a 1.8t with 150hp, the insurance costs you €200. That's one of the reasons. The other reason is that I couldn't find any Aero units in good condition, (I also looked for 9-5), I searched for months until I found my 9-3 1.8t from a single owner, in perfect condition, parked in a private garage since the first day. I was lucky to find it. It's an amazing car!
