I purchased and programmed the MapTun Stage 1 tune in my B207R and love the results. The 40 extra horsepower and 45 ft. Lbs. torque make the motor feel like it's been working out at the gym. Nice smooth and beefy gains, but still smooth as anything.

No, Maptun also says explicitly that it does not harm the transmission. I have run it 30,000 miles since the tune with no issues.
Try trollspeed Stage1 it's a bit better torque than all the others. And nordic performance are good too.
Do you get to keep the device or do you have to send it back after you use it?

I have 3 inch downpipe and cold air intake and it doesn't matter if I have those upgrades, it won't hurt anything?
If you have a dry filter, it won't hurt anything but it's probably not adding any power, though if you get a professional tune designed to accommodate the additional air flow you may have an increase in power. If it is an oiled filter, like k&n makes, you may start to see a check engine light because the droplets of oil will get onto the mass air flow sensor and cause faulty readings. The downpipe is a very good first step though for much more power combined with the tune. I believe the map tun stage 3 requires a larger down pipe so you're off to a good start.

Ich habe im Internet gelesen, dass ich die Lizenz kaufen muss für stage 1 und die Firma MapTun schick mir das Gerät mit Lizenz schon drin? Ich muss nur installiert werden?
Wie gehts, Sie bestellen das Leihgerät und zahlen eine einmalige Lizenzgebühr für die Software. Das Gerät speichert das ursprüngliche ECU-Programm und installiert dann das Programm der Stufe 1. Anschließend senden Sie das Gerät an Maptun zurück. Dies ist die kostengünstigere Option. Sie können auch mehr bezahlen und das Gerät behalten.

@@user-mz8uc9sc1o Maptun garantiert, dass Stufe 1 Tuning Ihren Motor nicht beschädigt. Ich würde empfehlen, dass Sie das Getriebeöl wechseln, bevor Sie das Tuning einbauen. Solange Motor und Turbo in Ordnung sind, sehe ich keine Probleme.
How is the acceleration? Is it better? My 06 2.0T has horrible acceleration

Did you order from maptun website to U.S?
I did, but the return shipping was $92, so it may be cheaper to order from Swedish motorsports in the US because of that.

there's a guy in the UK who tunes these things for £90 or so, he's very highly recommended in the UK, i had my 2.0t stage one tuned it was making abount 175bhp, it's now at 220bhp look up at "noobtune"

Can I ask if it will pass emissions?
Yes, it did, no issue. In Virginia however, no car will pass emissions if there is a check engine light on at all.

@@ZakuZak Use original Saab parts if you can afford it. Other good brands are Airtex, Bosch, Autoparts Sweden.
