  • Originally starting out as a chase of CSX train O721 with an SD70AC and a ES44AH on the point from Coral Way on the Homestead Sub, we wind up getting CSX Y223 working SALCO on the famed East Rail industrial district (Big Hole Switching Lead) on the South Florida Rail Corridor. We also get a couple of Tri-Rails and FEC train 222. Recognize the GP40-2 #6135 on Y223?

      DarkBubblePenguin It's a signal close to the ground used for restricted space. You can see it on the ground on the left side of the box cars.

    Saw a lot of these on vacation, also, is there a CSX Switcher? i saw a small CSX Diesel connected behind a regular one on a sighting in a field, the tracks were clean, so it means they are still used, they looked some what old though.

    • @haydendraycott7897
      @haydendraycott7897 Před 3 lety

      Late to reply but yeah CSX does have a small amount of switchers still on the roster, I think MP15DCs and SW1500s but those are largely restricted to industrial areas with lots of Branches like Baltimore (go to the end of the vid): czcams.com/video/XRrZ8O_9VOU/video.html

    Niceness catch I’m guessing someone already mentioned this but in the description you have SD70ACE. It’s really an SD70M. You can tell the difference because it doesn’t have the giant sand nozzles on the front. Still cool catches though since CSX’s homestead looks like shit.

    • @TolgaEastCoast
      @TolgaEastCoast  Před 6 lety

      Thanks, actually CSX does consider it an SD70AC, an AC analogue to the M. The ACes are roster defined as SD70AE, and are off the roster.

    • @jackanderson3940
      @jackanderson3940 Před 6 lety

      That is weird. And yeah they sold them off to a leasing company. Makes me sad. I hate railroads all the locomotives look the same so you think they are the same from a glance. And then nope. People who can tell Dash 9s from AC4400s for instance, you have my respect.

    I don't understand why the stats say this is 60fps when it's clearly about 14fps. The youtube algorithm should be smart enough to see that there is only frame data changes at a certain interval, why doesn't it correct what many uploaders mistakenly do all the time and encode a 14 or 15fps video at 60fps completely wasting there time, bandwidth, storage space, and annoying all that watch the video as it's misrepresented? just curious, still like the video though.

    • @TolgaEastCoast
      @TolgaEastCoast  Před 6 lety

      It's supposed to be a 60fps video coming from a camcorder with that capability. Maybe either my software or CZcams messed it up, IDK. But thanks for the suggestion.
