  • NYSW recently released #3024 from their paint shops in a 1950's heritage scheme. We were fortunate enough to catch it work Brick Transload in Riverdale during daylight on job WS-2 earlier this month.
    Sit Back, Watch, Enjoy!

    Cool video! That is the brick storage yard for my company Belden Tri-State Building materials. We get up to 10 railcars a week in peak season. Thanks for catching this!

    Hello from the UK. This kind of video is so much more interesting than just watching long trains running past fast on mainline railways. There is also something about this scene that feels like an echo from the past. Thank you for posting.

    I grew up in Riverdale and spent countless hours t the station watching Erie and EL commuter trains, It was great seeing the station area again, as I moved to Florida almost 50 years ago. Some changes but a lot of things there still look the same. Thanks for posting!

    I like freight trains slowly passing through railroad crossings. The locomotive is cool.
    I have subscribed to your channel. 😄👍

    Great video ! But why not just pull into siding on the left and spot the cars then runaround and head back to the main ? Or were there cars already spotted on that siding ? just seems like more switching than needed, but still excellent video !

    Great video. I love switching operations. Too bad the freight cars don't look as good as the locomotive. Graffiti is so unsightly. People have no respect for others' property.

      Thank you! From what we were told, catching this job during daylight was a rarity so it was great to see and capture some footage.

    Why don't you have a cab at each end of the loco?

    • @ajkleipass
      @ajkleipass Před měsícem

      The majority (99.9%) of American diesel locomotives ever built were single cab designs. Twin cabs were mostly boxcab or steeple cab units of the very early (1910 to 1930s) diesel era. They tended to draw their designs from electric locomotive designs, the majority of which are still twin cab designs.

      I believe he got off to go open the gate to the facility which is just after the crossing.

      Probably because we were standing right next to each other filming the action. Nice of you to notice the similarity though.
