Warhammer: The Old World 500 Point Battle Report - Ogre Kingdoms vs Tomb Kings

  • Warhammer: The Old World is subjected once again to ancient lead models, this time in the form of my Ogre Kingdoms army, which is clearly enthusiastic about heading out as they didn't even need to change their bases. As always the army is a compact 500 points, and their opponent is the restless legions of the Tomb Kings of Khemri.
Duke Dunderling the Ogre Bruiser attempts to lead my first non-Orc and Goblin force in this pitched battle. As it is only my third game in total, we're still learning the rules and making mistakes, but bit by bit we're getting there.
So enjoy this foray into the battle practices of Warhammer's largest and hungriest force. And leave a comment below if you have any questions, observations or concerns.

I really love the idea of the 500 point game. I think at that point level, it would be a lot of fun to do pirates of the old world. You know, kimery fleets, dwarf fleets, Pirates of sartosa...oh, the fun!

Pirates, you say? What a coincidence…

Played my first game with ogres two weeks ago. 500pt against empire.
I had leadbelchers and they did pretty well, but like many things old world they have been toned down compared to prior versions. I do like that the captain has a +1bs.
My main workhorse was a bruiser with a ruby ring, and pair of ogre pistols. Great addition to your firepower.
Look forward to seeing the next 500pt list!

Sounds great. My next list also features a Ruby Ring.

That was my problem. I was singing Hall & Oates’s “Maneater.”

Bloomin hell! That was unexpected. Time to reshuffle & reorder that Ogre list. ;)

Yeah. That would be good. I haven’t added anything to that army in a long time.

Thanks, although hopefully the brutality will be visited upon my opponent next time…

Thanks. Even if I’m not playing the Batman Miniature Game right now, at least I can make the references.

Are the Bludgeon Path all kit bash/conversions? I know you said the one with two hand weapons was a kit bash/conversion.

    • @dmgashbad4908
      @dmgashbad4908  Před 3 měsíci

Yes, they are relatively simple conversions. Old Blood Bowl Ogre legs and Dragon Ogre torsos. The standard is from the old Chaos Ogres. I forget where the drum came from. Maybe a plastic Minotaur or LOTR Troll.

Impossible Terrain…you may want to trademark that. :)

If anywhere has impossible terrain, it would be the Warhammer world.

Not to give anything away, but I’m not done with the Orcs & Goblins yet.
