"Every car has a story..." This is the theme for my new channel, AutoJeff Reviews. You will hear amazing stories about really cool cars, trucks and SUVs. Plus, you will see the stories of the people who own and drive them.
You will also find reviews on all brands...thorough and fun...for normal, regular people like you and me.
The objective of AutoJeff Reviews is to give you as much information as possible about these incredible vehicles. I try to put my sometimes quirky and funny spin on things with my pop culture references.
I refuse to do a boring car review haha. I hope you like the channel and decide to Subscribe.
I have ordered a 2023 Maverick XL. The price has gone up by $2,200 since last year. I like the XL and think it has enough features for me. I ordered the hybrid since good gas mileage is important to me. The XL package includes automatic, A/C, and cruise control. I don't want to pay for a bunch of features that I don't need. That is why I ordered the XL. Cruise control was added to the XL for this 2023 model year.
Yes, me too and the price went up because xl 2023 now has cruise control.
How many time for delivery?
I just bought my xl today 🙏🏻
@@josefuedefua1 Cruise control is now standard on the Maverick XL. That is not the main reason the price increased.
@@Hersses-tech I am still waiting for the truck. It has been 420 days since I ordered it.
Jeff I love your personality! Never change please 🤎
Great video Jeff! I just got my XL Mavy today and agree with all your observations about the truck 100%.
That’s awesome congratulations! And I appreciate you subscribing and being part of my channel
Awesome video!
I can’t believe Goose has been gone after all these years. We love the Maverick.
Cool. Keep reviewing base models. Thanks. 🏆
They get forgotten too much haha
Love mine
this guy is hilarious
Things I really wish I had in my XL.. well for one the amazing interior colors of the XLT. The rear seat drop down armrest/cup holders. And the cubby hole in the bed.. it would also be nice to have an outlet somewhere for charging power tool batteries
I have this same exact model as my work truck I love it I wish I could have one for myself I've been averaging 46-48mpg in Eco-mode but it is capable of more with a high of 51mpg this is a tough truck it has taken everything I have thrown at it...Heavy rotors, truck parts and 55gall drums of oil with ease this truck is an important part of automotive history whoever had a hand in designing this truck well played bro 👏🏼
really?! 55 gallon drums on the hybrid? i've heard they have no power and have been optiong for the 2.0T with awd instead of fwd...i just cant imagine owning a fwd anything...
@@Kevin-zd5xc yup I've had two 55gall drums of oil in there plenty of times, plus pallet of DEF the hybrid has a tow/haul feature I love it I drive it everyday for my job 🛢️🛢️
@@burnsred2172 does it have any pick-up though? Getting on interstate is no problem? Front wheel drive and all?
@@Kevin-zd5xc no problem you can switch it to "Sport-Mode" where the engine really comes to life
@AutoJeff Reviews: I have a Maverick on order. Seems like a great pickup. Too bad Ford won’t build more of them. Took the orders though. Nice review, XL trim is enough for most folks.
I think it is too Eric! I hope you get news on yours sometime soon
did you receive yours?? i've been hoping to get through on the list and order my own or ind a decked out lariat or tremors pkg...
@@Kevin-zd5xc I gave up an canceled the order. Waited over a year. Too bad Ford cannot get their act together. Good luck, hope you can find or order what you l'd love to drive. The Tremor looks sick for sure.
Why don’t they offer AWD with the hybrid power train? Do you think they will in the future?
4k tow package 4,000 lbs but not on hybrid engine right. Ecoboost engine right?
Nice “dad jokes”. Personally I want the 2.0 AWD w/ 4K towing. I live in rural WI, AWD is very necessary. Plus theTowing as I will need to tow 3-4 times a year.
The base for 19995 is only thing I would consider with Fords common $1500 incentives on top would be the best deal. Under 20k OTD with manual slider rear window and sunroof Only (my desire:) O have not used cruise control in 15 years.
I would actually go Lariat Hybrid on this vehicle. But I'd be tempted to swap the alloys for those nice steelies from the XL!
This is the most retarded comment I’ve ever seen on CZcams
i cant stand the base rims...i'm in the market and hoping to find 2.0t lariat but it is tuff...thinking about ordering my own, but now im hearing different things on the hybrid and fwd...i just cant imagine myelf driving fwd anything....
@@Kevin-zd5xc that's how I felt but the gas milage for the awd model is the deal breaker. But if they make a hybrid awd, then that's what I want.
is there apple carplay in this ?
I see this guy's face I click! A1
That’s super cool of you to say!!! Glad you’re here
Good luck finding one at any of those prices here in Southern Florida. More likely in the 30K range.
I'm kinda disappointed that Ford didn't go the tall greenhouse route like they did on the old Ranger. The roof is lower this way and looks sleeker, as is the trend these days, but I would prefer a taller greenhouse and roof.
9:57 "I wish I was a little taller. I wish I was a baller."
*Dropping verses in the review, they call him Mc.Ford-ian but he ain't slippin'*
I am waiting for a Toyota version or even a Nissan version of a Maverick.
3:22 someone didn't set the parking brake? 🤔
Who didn’t??? It wasn’t rolling
Hybrid XL
1 year later and 10k more
No power mirrors.... absolutely not. That's why I got an XLT. But I am considering selling due to the cheap interior.
Lack of power mirrors are a deal breaker for you? Seriously?
@@burntvirtue Yes, it should at the very least have a wire. It doesn't have to be powered, but to physically have to get out of your car to adjust that is outdated. And not to mention dangerous, imagine being on the highway and someone bumped your mirror in a parking lot. It's just a feature that any car in the year 2022 should have. Either way I am selling my Maverick and going to trade up for a Bronco. The Maverick is too small and too cheap.
How often do you adjust your mirrors?
Ford say you coming. They don't want to sell any XL trucks. They add $200 of options and charge you $2400 extra. Almost every other base car sold in the US comes with cruise control and power mirrors.
I would remove the rear seats and make a bed in there...US roadtrip beckons...once Biden is put out to pasture!(gas prices).
