That lane keeping system sounds like it will help a lot of people who don't like to use turn signals.
I'd love to try out all these features.... WHEN THEY BUILD THE FREAKING TRUCK!
Great preview, now all I have to do is watch it 6-7 times :) Thanks so much.
Tim: Thank you for this video. It was very helpful. I have had my Maverick since Dec. 28. and am still learning. Your video, like said is and was very helpful. I did learn a few things. Thanks again!!!
They need to add one of these videos when selling the truck....it was really helpful.
no kidding I knew more about it than the salesman did.
Thank you so much. Bought 2024 Maverick XLT last week and this video is so helpful!
Thanks Tim, in another year when I receive my Maverick I will be ready....
Thanks for doing this!!!
Nice video. Just got my Maverick yesterday and been having a heck of a time figuring everything out.
I just got mine last week after after a ten month wait. I like it.
Thanks for the information Tim.
Lariat
Thank you, looking forward to getting my new truck soon.
Wish they'd build my Maverick so I could experience this in person. I miss being able to drive myself to work...
Nicely done. First I've seen any video for the heated seats etc. and setting the temperature. My XLT Lux build date is hopefully 4/18.
Thanks Tim
This made me happy that I got the Lariat Lux - Added the 4 window 1 touch up and down as well as get rid of the key!
Informative video. Thank you. You covered well what the Owner's Manual does NOT.
I order my maverick June 20th with you guys!! No built date
thank u😊
Thanks for the info. You covered everything I should of gotten when I took delivery. I felt a little overwhelmed of all the buttons and what they do and actually thought I hurt the drivetrain when I ran it through a touch less car wash. I must of accidentally hit the hold button and when I put it in neutral and was waiting for the track to move me through the wash it wasn't moving and began lifting and dropping. Even the attendant didn't know what was going on. Literally had to put in drive to go through it. Had a huge line of cars behind me and I felt like a complete idiot.
Don't feel too bad. M y truck has been scheduled 3 different times and then canceled. Coming up on my 4th "scheduled date for production" I am not holding my breath while I wait . LOL !! Sad , I may have to look for another vehicle.
@@davefish9296 I just placed an order for a '23 Maverick Lariat. I wanted the hybrid but it's gonna be a hot seller so I settled with the Ecoboost.
Getting my xlt hybrid lux+copilot today.. glad i saw this video, it will save me some time going through the manual.. i had to wait many many months for the hybrid. Unfortunately the hybrid lariat is not available in canada. Because i really wanted the hybrid lariat , i wanted the leather seats and the power rear windows.. but on xlt it is manual rear windows only, i wonder if there is a way to upgrade that.. but probably expensive. I have kids in the back and im sure they will want to open it and with my adhd i will forget to close it . Few things i wish it had as option for those willing to pay.. side mirror turn signal led, auto dim all three mirrors, SiriusXM on xlt, optional leather seat on lxt, a small door behind the back seats swe can haul long lumber and pipes and allow them to go through the cabin through a small opening behind the passenger seat (bellow the rear window) . Such feature don't exist yet, im not sure how long i will keep the hybrid maverick.. if it has too many issues i willl probably sell it before warranty ends as i am buying the first generation. Time will tell
IMPORTANT:. Turn OFF the auto break before going through the carwash!
Maverick hvac system allows face and defrost at the same time. No other vehicle I know of allows that. A great feature for some climate conditions.
Oh ya, many Texas mornings are warm but the windshield will keep fogging over.
Reviewing this video again since the arrival of my truck is getting close. It's hard to stay up to speed on the controls and features when it's not in my driveway.
I’m only watching to find out how to use the heater! It’s Dec in Cali….and it’s COLD
It’s good to know the turn signal comes standard on the Ford Maverick
Mine is scheduled to be delivered the week of May 23rd
Tim, thanks for all your videos. Can you confirm if XLT trim on Mavrick includes Heated Seats or NOT?!
Requires Luxury Package
Tim, Gas funnel should be stored in gas door, on the next design Tom W Prescott AZ
Can you hold down the voice command button for Siri or assistant?
Thank you for your comments: Question: how to stop all the ok signs (nb passangers, brake, etc...) it is annoying thanks
Good question! I went out and checked and from what I found there is not a way to turn it off. You might want to check the manual to see, but just going through the settings in my XLT maverick there isn't a way.
Power Point adaptor? Not sure why you need to run slide shows but why not.
Great info. I just bought a 2023 XL Hybrid Maverick and I am not sure if the following is a problem. When I shift from Park to Drive (with the Brake pedal pressed), and release the Brake in Drive it does not go to forward mode or make that slight automatic forward kick. In other cars, if I release the Brake it moves automatically and accelerates by pressing the gas pedal. In Reverse it works perfectly. When I shift to Drive and let the Brake there is no move. I have to hit the gas pedal to kick the forward mode on and then accelerate. In an open road is not a problem, but in a waiting line, when cars are 4 or 5 feet apart is a problem. As the line moves, the motions between Drive, release the Brake, hit the gas pedal, and Brake again to hit the gas is troubling to me. I did hit the car in front of me. In other cars in a line, while in Drive I just release the brakes, the car moves a couple of feet, hit the brakes again, and no gas pedal. A very simple thing. The question is (since I am a senior) is it me? Are modern cars like this? or is it a Maverick Hybrid problem?
You probably have the auto hold activated. It will hold the brake until you press the gas pedal.
Witch mode was eco ?
I’m kinda upset my fx4 lariat will not have sport mode 😢
Maverick build is Nov I'm afraid I'm gonna miss my f15O trade for Maverick ..u think?
I am picking up my Maverick this afternoon. I watched this video specifically to see how the headlights functioned. This most basic feature was not mentioned at all.
I missed that I guess but it is a basic headlight dial with off, parking lights, on, and auto settings. I will be easy to figure when you see it. Thanks for watching.
Putting it in slippery mode will get you stuck in deep snow as it limits wheel speed and speed. You need to leave it in normal and traction control off to get through the deep snow, like your driveway when plowed in and unplowed back roads.
Can you even buy one of these if you want one?
Great preview but you didn't cover the buttons to the left of the steering wheel.
Definently not informing you that you can use forscan to permanently disable the auto-start/stop feature or anything
I never use my slippery mode on f150 in FL forget I have it
No need to turn the auto brake feature on and off at every light. With it on, just pushing the brake pedal down a a light "locks" the brake on. Touching the accelerator pedal releases the brake.
Dose the lux package include that big gage cluster screen or dose the copilot include that?
FX4 or Lariat packages
Wondering if there is a physical difference or just a software difference between the gage cluster sizes? Maybe there is a hack to use the larger one on the hybrid XLT??
So after all that, what is the button on the left side of the dashboard directly above the fuel filler door push button? (hybrid). I think it got skipped over in the video. It looks like a drawing of the truck side view. It's also not mentioned in the owner's manual (but neither is the fuel door release push button).
That is the button for the cab lights. Press it to turn on the lights on both sides of the center high mounted stop light on the back of the cab to help light up the bed at night.
I have a 2019 nissan frontier sv 4x4 would I be happy with the mavrick xlt hy truck with the better gas mileage
Yes
Why drive mode reset each drive to not eco mode? Can I set default drive mode? On sync screen can’t see comfort control? Is that new?
No way that I know to default it for each engine cycle. I do like my Bronco for the feature, it asks if I want to keep it in that mode. The modes on the Maverick are: Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery, Tow/Haul. Drive modes for FX4: Normal, Slippery, Tow/Haul, Mud/Ruts, Sand.
when would you turn traction control off?
Always off cmon now
So I’m going from a push to start Nissan to a old fashioned key with the maverick. And it’s a hybrid. So I’m not used to pulling the key out yet AND it’s always in electric when I stop, so I don’t hear an engine to remind me to take the keys. I know that ford used to honk if I left the keys inside. Does that not happen anymore???
If you try to lock it, it will honk.
There has to be a way to turn off the engine auto off on feature on the hybrid, anyone have any ideas?
No there isn't, that is the point. If you are driving a hybrid you are wanting the motor shut off as much as possible to conserve on fuel.
When would you turn traction control off
czcams.com/video/Jg_jqBd2bA0/video.html
Major disappointment for me is the fact that it reverts back to normal mode every time the vehicle is turned off. I want it to stay in eco mode.
17.2 fuel average isn't a lot better than my 2013 F350 Powerstroke's 14.9. I wonder what the hybrid version returns on mileage.
I've had my hybrid for 1500 miles now and I'm getting 40 mpg
My daughter is getting 22 in town on her eco awd
Why is the grey dash appliques uneven?
It is a styling choice
@@bendyhouse9473 “Bad” styling choice.
2:08 - MAN! those windows look slow! Is there any reason or way to speed them up?
I didn't have the engine turned on, only in ACC mode
Is a "garage door opener" feature included in any trim level ?
Sadly it is not a feature included on any maverick at this point. you might check in August when orders open up, they may include it for 2023.
Is the acoustic windshield worth the upgrade for a quieter interior?
I don't think it is that much of a difference, mainly notice it at highway speeds.
@@longmcarthur thanks for your reply! I knew old ford trucks could be ridiculously loud on highways…
My windows are a one touch up.
what model is this?
This specific one is a 2022 Maverick XLT with the Luxury Package and FX4 Package - SD
USB-C isn't faster than USB-A as a rule. You can have a USB-A port that carries the USB 3.2 standard, same as USB-C. These are usually teal-colored on the inside, but not necessarily. I'm not saying the USB-A port on the Maverick is a 3.x port, just that these ports have the capability of those speeds.
the USB-A in the Mavericks are 2.0 so in the maverick the USB-C will be faster for charging and data transfer when using android auto.
@@longmcarthur Right. Like I said, I don't mean to imply the Maverick's is a 3.x port, just that USB-A is capable of 3.x speeds and charge rates. It's very common for people to assume it isn't, as a rule, and I only wanted to clarify that it can be.
Great video, by the way. I'm eagerly awaiting my Maverick (build finished today!), and this was kind of like watching an unboxing video for a game console I have to wait for. Thanks for sharing all this information!
What trim/package adds adaptive cruise control to the ford maverick?
Lariat trim w/Lariat Luxury package is the only way to get adaptive cruise on a Maverick for model year 2022
Ok thank you
how did your manager get a maverick before me?
ordered in October
I ordered mine in aug and just got it yesterday. Maybe he pre ordered in July.
He probably ordered BEFORE July. I ordered mine July 15th of last year (2021) and the build started just last week.
He ordered a Ecoboost on June 8th, 8am
We just gonna pretend like we didn't see that 17.2 MPG on a truck that's supposed to get at least 23mpg
my dealer is weak dont call back dint show any customer interest been a yr waiting I'm in dark financing trade in u name it not sure iv been converted they dont know ..WTH? They not making much on it obviously that why?rather sell my f150. them have it
Good info, but you do tend ramble on a bit. Some folks like that, but I’m a more get to the point kind of guy.
How much is the markup? 😂😂😂😂😂😂
At Long McArthur we sell ordered Mavericks at MSRP -SD
Meanwhile, my Maverick is still sitting in Mexico since 12/10
We are working on getting a hold of the head of the region to check on it to see if it is awaiting on a chip or maybe he could move it along for you.
I think I could crank that window faster than the electric motor.
Way too fast
Oh god! A rotary shifter?! NOOOOOOOO.
Way to F*ck it up Ford.
Just to let all of you know. I just found out that with the Ford Pass app on my phone I can Lock, Unlock and Start my Maverick from anywhere I have phone signal. I'm currently 25 miles away from the truck. My wife confirmed this fact. I also started it. But with no key you can not put it in Drive.
