- This is my first ride on my new Kawasaki KX450F and is also the first 450 I have ever personally owned. This video will show you how I took to it after years of riding 250's!

Pretty obvious when a couple of those jumps that in other video he always comes up a little short no matter what, and all of sudden this bike has him clearing everything

Casey Baker I just grabbed a 2016 kx450f, haven’t ridden a bike since high school (I’m almost 31 now). I ride it for the first time yesterday and oh man does it have power. Super fun but intimidating at first. After 30 minutes or so I got back into it.
That beast hardly ever breaks 4 grand rpm.... and accelerates SO FREAKING hard.... That's how we used to ride the 500 2 strokes...

Many years ago I went for a week to a Kawasaki motocross training school in the south of England ,the instructor ,Richard dye was 6,4" on a kx 80 ,he said to us all "I ride an 80 so you guys have no excuses that your bike is not powerful enough to come out of a hole and jump a 60 ft tabletop ,and round the track he could easily keep up with the biggest bikes ,just to prove a point

@@shad3128 Zach can rip a 125 like that. It's the mostly the rider, not the bike. When i got into motocross with my 46hp yamaha yz250f, 125 and even 85 used to beat me on the track.

i like track riding alot. But trails and dunes are my familys go to🤙🏼 ive been riding since 2yrs old, i personally have a 250 4strok ktm. My cousin got a kx450 and we took it out and i looped out on it going 80 in a wheelie lol.. Not fun, didnt have gear on, only helmet and jacked myself up pretty good, gotta respect the power of the bikes forsure! lol but im planning on getting one soon! be safe!

Slick riding my man! For some reason all my buddies who own 2012-2015 kawis all lose their number plates during moto’s. Bolt tolerance at the factory during those years must’ve been off a bit lol... either that or the bike’s just got too much balls that plastics constantly get left behind 😂

A far cry form my KX500 days back in the 80's! Just a thought Zach, perhaps you can get some track-side footage as well? It gets a little boring from just the one perspective all the time. Have a mate stand on the jumps and cut it in with this footage... I wanna see how high and how far you're jumping!

I kid you not..I HAVE this year of bike in storage. I've never rode it. I was still stoked to rail my cr250 in Mojave and more. Before that, YZ125 "97. Pro Curcuit and a couple more teeth on rear, moto tassinari, and hell yeah! The CR? Wicked. Looks like Darth Vader himself designed it.(with my help-blacked out, Monster graghs). FMF system, intellilever, real pro taper, On Kawasaki, pro KTM suspension setup by friend who wrenched for Casselli RIP,, you see. Not to brag, I'm just lucky to have great friends! But the Kawi awaits, killer video gets me stoked!

I used to have a pw80 as a kid that I rode a lot must have put 750 hours on it, and since I’ve been riding quads I want to get back into dirt bikes what would be a good size to start back off? I’m thinking 250? Any advice?

I bought a 2013 today and rode it on a dirt road. The bike is basically brand new because the owner put lots of work into it and never put many miles on it. He’s getting older and was like fuck this kickstarter. Not a trail bike but should be great for the track!
So when you riding in track like this so do you use just 3/4 gears

450 , four strokes are great bikes, but i'd like to see some big bore 2strokes again...
I had an 88 CR500 and obviously it was a monster but I believe that when we look back at the 500 2 strokes we remember them as being better than they were. The new 4 stroke 450s are much easier to ride fast and power is much more useable. They dont sound as good but as much as I hate to say it the new bikes are most likely.much better
antrcapo probably has a lot to do with chassis design and suspension technology. Chad Reed commented on how huge the differences are hopping onto new KTM 2 strokes compared to the two strokes he used to race on back in the day. The ergonomics and advancements in suspension are insane nowadays when you consider they’re sticking 125t’s into 250f frames.

i can see myself wrapping my bike and body around one of those trees though
I found one of these for a steal on Facebook marketplace. I’m thinking about getting this as my first bike, I rode lil’ 50cc dirt bikes as a young child and I’ve got a really close friend that’s got tons of dirt bikes, atv’s and side by sides so I’ll be practicing with him a lot and hopefully he can teach me how to master this bike. I’d live feedback from someone! 👍

I have a crf 150 r and I let it warm up them just straight gun it around turns and straights
That camera makes the bike seem like it's about 3x faster than in reality.
I got a 203 WR 4fitty it's awesome , wouldn't mind throwing a leg over one a dem kxs , it's fucking evil lots of grunt and as he said you gotta go with it and ride it smooth ! Take it easy on that sick machine and be safe to ride another day .

It's the beginner track.Nothing technical, just straight-a-ways and rollovers.Perfect for this beginner who loves to ride everybody else's bike instead of learning how to go fast.
the newer the 450s get worse as the years go by, not sure if its just the pipes or the engine style, but older 450s had alot more deeper louder sound to it, the newer 450s sound like fart machines.
I can’t imagine this bike as being loud. I guess I am a dinosaur I am use to the two strokes

I've got an 18 kx450f (same gen as 17). Big midrange, usable power and the bike likes front end and rear wheel steering. Great all rounder.

Michael Montana I ride more natural stuff so 450 works for me but in a track I can agree to heavy and cant put the power down due to wheel spin
