Note: This is the PS3 version. This playthrough was also started by "picking the Shield, giving up the Sword", so the level in which you get certain abilities may differ greatly.

"Sniperwild" are a special type of Heartless that sometimes appear in 'Second District' of Traverse Town.
They drop the "Power Stone", a material used for item synthesis.
They can be encountered early on in the game and become stronger like many other Heartless after your first visit to Hollow Bastion.
They come in waves of 1, 2, and 3.
Attack them from behind and be wary of any still left roaming about.
Do not get caught in their line-of-sight! If they spot you they will alert other Sniperwilds and attack you relentlessly until you leave the area.
You'll need a strong Keyblade, a decent strength stat, the "Stop" and "Thunder" spell, and a watchful eye.
"Stun Impact" will help you temporarily stun them so they can't call upon other Heartless.
Be careful, Sniperwilds can still be a tricky bunch even when you're fully prepared.

Another way to do this is to stay far, cast stop, then zap them to death with Thunder, and run back to the entrance to hide if any get close without spotting you. If you feel your controller vibrate, they've spotted you.
Honestly this might be reliant on level, but I found that if you just take the first three out by hand quick enough they won't lock on to you. As long as they are getting repeatedly damaged they won't lock on. If you bash one and it flies away, try to hit it with a long range thunder until it dies. As soon as the third monkey dies, run to the point that's pretty much in the center of the three monkey spawns (a tad bit closer to the pair in the back) and then just start spamming thunder repeatedly. Using this method I'm able to somewhat consistently murder all 30 of them without being spotted. It takes practice but it works.

@@Ekh0es The more powerful the magic (Stopga) and the amount of MP (have as much as possible) determines how long it lasts. If you have the keyblade from the Ice Titan it will really help with MP.

If they lock on to you they won't drop a thing, you need to use stopga to kill them before they lock on to you.
NOTE: You can start farming these heartless fairly early on as they can appear in the second district any time. Magic increasing keyblades like Spellbinder can be acquired after getting all 7 basic spells, which should be reasonable to get before Hollow Bastion. I recommend trying to farm them before Hollow Bastion however, as they become notably stronger after you complete your first visit there.
I just got overpowered and just swung wildly when they first spawn. Got through all the phases, however, this method is genius!

for the video I arranged the chosen abilities to the top so I wouldn't have to go back and forth scrolling down or up.
