    I rafted the Owyhee this spring at 10,000 cfs. No water crossings at that flow. We have traveled much of that country in the past with my Suzuki. One of our favorite destinations.

    Over the last year I've put 40,000 miles on my XTs , snow storms through Utah, PNW washboard Forest roads, sand on the beach, and tons of Oregon rain. These tires are more capable than most people think.

      Glad they're working out for you. But the XTs cost as much as Mickey Thompson Baja Boss All Terrain so why not get what I wanted. So I got the Mickeys. Super aggressive but so smooth and quiet. When snow season comes I can plow through just about anything.

    I run the destination xts on my colorado with size 285/70/17. I have taken them through knee deep mud as well as 40 degree rock inclines and they've never let me down yet. I run them at 16-20 psi and they've never come off the bead when wheeling hard.

    Got the Firestone Destination AT/2 for my 2021 Taco. Very happy with it on the road. Will test it more this summer on the backcountry and fireroads here in Canada 🇨🇦.
    Only thing that worry me is the sidewall. Feel too soft after using BFG KO2 tires since the truck as new.
    But on the highway it beats the KO2 in mileage 100 percent.

    I’m glad to see some alternatives to the Wildpeaks. Some of the Wildpeaks are made in China so they’re a non-starter for me. Hopefully these Firestone’s are made in the US, or at least not China.

      The firestones are made in Canada i believe, pretty happy bout that

    Thanks! The reviews for the XT are fantastic. My Cherokee came with the AT2's and I wish it was the XT's. I'm looking at putting the XT's on our new RV. And with a 50,000 mile warranty and 90 day try & buy I think they nailed it.

    Nice...my old stomping grounds. FYI, it's pronounced O-why-hee. Owyhee Reservoir is awesome for water skiing, and the glory hole is really cool when the water is high enough to spill over it.

    wow, it's legal to drive through a trout river like that?!!?

    I've always found that rotation of tires just makes a new noise you have to get used to, that's why I don't rotate anymore.

    Did anyone calibrate their tires? And what did you use. RAM dealer had 35 12.5 r20 Destination M/T2 on mine. I'd like to calibrate them, but have little faith in my ability and anyones software. So im riding with false odometer, mpg, mph.

      I don’t think anyone has. Just trust in your ability to know what your speed is. It’s not terrible.

    There was time when no off-roader (or anyone who wanted a reliable tire) would touch a Firestone. Remember the reports about the entire tread strip detaching and wrapping around the wheel and axle and flipping vehicles resulting in great bodily injury and death? Look it up... Let's hope they've finally become a legit tire brand again.🤨

      When was that? In Agriculture its Firestone or nothing.
      Are you thinking of recaps instead?

      I believe that Ford had them under inflated, thus causing excessive heat to delaminate the belts. Under iinflating the tires gave a smoother, cushier ride at the cost of excessive heat.

    • @ddaddybass
      @ddaddybass Před 6 měsíci

      That was a Ford under inflation issue. Firestones are fine tires.

    • @galfridusarturus6403
      @galfridusarturus6403 Před 6 měsíci

      So, it was Ford's responsibility to keep your tires inflated after you rolled off the lot? Um no. It was the tires - they were faulty. Which is why the treads detached.@@ddaddybass
