I have to say that I think your kits are beautiful works of art. My personal preference is the later, southern mountain model but since l am English and a cripple, there's not very much chance of me being ever able to have one!

I purchased a carving practice stock to confirm my abilities. Great results as the stock piece I received took quite a lot of inletting to fit the butt plate. When my colonial rifle kit arrived it set until yesterday only being checked for parts inventory. I was delaying the work still concerned I might make a mess. I was wrong! The kit came so well inlet the butt plate went right on. The trigger plate took just the tiniest little bit of cleaning and the barrel/tang was about 15 minutes of cleaning and slightest tiny bit of shaving. The fit is amazing. The sideplate tapped right in.
Just purchased the kit. Waiting patiently and doing the research. Glad I chose Jim’s kit.

Amazing kit! Can't wait to get one, and I generally hate kit guns. Love your finished kit Jim! I have used toilet waxed rings for years...lubes the screw and serves as a storage to keep from loosing them. Thanks for the video!
