You Sir make something thats difficult look easy. I just mailed you my deposit for one of your SMR kits and wish I could do some carving on the stock when I get it.
Anyone who can do carving engraving etc has a God given talent. I really like carving and engraving if done tastefully and sparingly. It really adds to the overall appearance and appeal of a period correct firearm. Sadly I do not have that talent. I love the single shots both breech loaders and muzzle loaders. You speak of the grain structure and I agree. I have fought it in times past on my few projects. How many hours did that particular rifle take? Gorgeous work by the way........

Hi Jim, is it important to have your tounge out when carving? I do the same thing and helps me😊
Yep! Use the shadows! I have every light off except my swing arm light when I'm carving.
