      I have a question before I go out and spend millions on a GPU.
      I play CS on low settings to boost FPS as high as possible, I don't care about the graphic, I only care about as high FPS as possible, and I will soon be going from playing CSGO to CS2, currently using 4790K GTX960 2GB, thinking about getting a 7800x3d upgrade.
      My question is, do I really need to upgrade to an expensive GPU to play CS2 on 1440p low settings? I just want to run as many FPS as possible, I can't state this enough, even stable +800 fps would make me a very happy competitive CS player.

And the cherry on the cake was the 7600 was $100 cheaper where I live than the 13500. If you don't need wifi on the motherboard, the MSI PRO B650M-P is a very cheap and robust choice. I always prefer GSkill rams so the 6Ghz 36 were the best choices.

    Jason, only a small correction here, the Ryzen 5 7600 and the 7600x are NOT usually the same price.
    The Ryzen 5 7600 is about $25 cheaper than 7600x, and then you have to buy a cooler for the 7600x, so we are looking at around $50 to $70 more dollares for a 7600x.

    My last build was a fx8150 10 years ago! After seeing price drops it really is a great time for anew build right kow. This time I started evaluating a Ryzen 9 but after comparing features and values for the components it just became obvious that I should start with a R5 7600x. I basically got all the exact same parts that you recommend in this video for the same reasons, (b650 aero for hd audio and 2x nvme, 7600x, ddr5 32g) but also because this will be my system for the next 10 years so the upgradability is prime for this setup. I also just ordered a 2t kc3000 nvme yesterday after looking at prices. This is my first time installing nvme. Btw the build is working a at 1% CPU on idle and 60w power consumption on Ubuntu 20.4. It spends 40 watt less than my old fx8150 and it runs like a dream. I commend you sir on your great work! And I stand behind the recommendation in this video 1000 %✓ Subscribed.

    The current 5-level CPUs (Ryzen 5, Core i5) are the sweet spot for most gaming and consumer-level productivity builds. In truth, a very small percentage of PC users need more cores, but a lot are convinced to get more by going to the 7- or 9-level CPUs. My current gamer runs a 13700K with an ASRock 6800XT and 64GB of RAM on an ASRock Z690 Taichi motherboard, built to give a nice boost over the previous 3900X / 2080Ti machine and to provide headroom for a faster GPU if 7900XTX prices fall below $900 US. (CUDA and software benefits aside, I'm done with Nvidia.) I used to lean Gigabyte, but I'm leaning heavily into the ASRock camp these days.

    You do a great job explaining the important feature for people trying to optimize value. I built a computer this past month, and I bought more CPU than I should have. I don't think it was enough to go up in GPU tiers. I got an 6700 XT for $330. The price jump to the tier above a 6700 XT is $150+.

    • @multicrogamer
      @multicrogamer Před rokem

      If you got 7600 ryzen it's not bad. You got all future proof you need, basically you don't need to change your CPU, DDR5 ram and motherboard.
      Only thing you need for significant upgrade is to sell your GPU and get better one with money you got and ofc you need to pay more.
      You can max out your GPU and buy worse CPU but then you are locked with bad motherboard and no upgrade paths for CPU, basically you need to change everything.
      Generally yeah better GPU is better but getting AM5 early is amazing deal. You keep DDR5 ram, motherboard and CPU is very strong and you can wait till GPU purchases get better value.

    I always love how in most of your videos you try to make it as clear as possible that when it comes to gaming the GPU should take absolute priority and the CPU can be lower tier than we think as long as its not bottlenecking the GPU. From one day to the next, a supplier began selling them at a very reduced price to the main hardware stores, dropping public prices to $175. It was time for something good to happen in these lands. Although we have much better prices and stock than most of Latin America, the percentage it represents of our salary is much higher so any discount is greatly appreciated. I want to echo your advice about purchasing a motherboard without upgraded audio. In my new build I went with the MSI B650 Tomahawk because I wanted the upgraded audio, but the quality of the audio was bad and the audio had a high pitched squeal when gaming that I could not get rid of. So I purchased the Apple 3.5mm to usb c converter, which has a built in dac. It's $9 and the audio quality is so much better.

    I do kind of wish you did include the price of the graphics card somewhere some how while showing the price break downs as the first build being the budget build looks great at $600 for all of the other components, but that graphics card is about $750 so rather then it being a $600 system it is a $1350 system + your choice of case. So lets call that one a $1500 system to give plenty of room for the case any anything else not included there.
    Like if you can put an almost $1k graphic card into your system there is nothing budget about it and you really should not skimp on any of the other components. I would go straight to the full premium options here as it is only about $200 to $300 more in the end from the "budget" option.
    I mean the title of the video is the Ryzen 7600 build not the Sapphire Pulse Radion RX 7900 XT build. The budget option should have like the RX 6800 in it. Though at the same time AMD cards are priced all over the place. You have some 6700s and 6800s at the same price as 7900s and then XT and XTX models are either the same price or like $50 or less apart in price.

    Currently on a 5600/3060. I’m thinking I’d benefit from a gpu upgrade before a cpu upgrade. I’m also more likely to change platforms over swapping to a 5800x3d as the cost of the 5800x3d is 70% higher than 7600+ free ddr5 ram and the difference can be used towards a new board making the cost difference minor

    • @x8jason8x
      @x8jason8x Před rokem +2

      There's no reason to upgrade your platform, AM5 isn't mature enough yet, and the 5600 is absolutely still great for gaming. You'd 100% be better off upgrading the GPU first. If someone is upgrading from say ryzen 2000 or like Intel 10th gen... sure, go to AM5. No need to upgrade from AM4 though if you're on ryzen 5000 already.

      I'm in the exact same place, 5600x and 3060 Ti. When looking and optimizing my system, it's always the GPU at 100% with the fans screaming. I've been waiting to see what comes out in the middle of AMD's range, but soon I'm just going to spring for a 7900 xt and move on.

    • @furiahispanica3823
      @furiahispanica3823 Před rokem +1

      Not worth it the 5600 is still holding strong, it's a huge expense I rather get a better GPU, my future upgrade will be the 5800X3D I don't have to swap out anything. Considering I just upgraded, I'm good for a couple of years. If money is burning a hole in your wallet it's always your decision. I've been there before.

    • @cameronfrye5514
      @cameronfrye5514 Před rokem

      @@furiahispanica3823 I get where you're coming from, but weigh your options carefully before buying a 5800X3D. Prices for a budget motherboard, 7600 and memory are rapidly dropping toward $400. The 5800X3D is holding around $330. For less than $100 more you move to a faster processor on a platform with an upgrade path. The 5800X3D is the fastest gaming chip you can put on the old platform, but the 7600 is already a faster gaming chip. I've been eyeing the 5800X3D for a while now and for the extra $100 or so the updated system is probably the better buy if you can swing it.

    The se-224xt actually outperforms the se-226xt. However, neither cooler is suitable for a 12 or 16-core CPU, so if you plan to upgrade later (which is MUCH MORE COMMON with AMD platform since the motherboard will be useful for many years), you might want to get a better cooler. I own an SE-224-xt which I use with my 5700g. I like the RGB and the cooler punches way above it price ($35) in terms of price/performance - it behaves like a $75 cooler, not a $35 cooler ...

    I really wish AM5 had more budget boards with 2 ram slots because the platform runs much better wired for 2 ram slots and at the low end you should be focusing on the best 2 sticks you can afford and it would make the boards more affordable or allow them to put more options on the board. Also 32GBs of RAM, even on gaming only builds, will mean less page filing on your system (EDIT: less effect I mean... losing 4-6 GBs of 32 GBs is better than 2-3 GBs on 16 GBs). Not worth spending an arm and leg for but for a few more bucks I think it's worth it if it's in the budget.

      Or G.Skill Flare / Ripjaws for $170
      Yes it is about twice the price you can get a 32gb kit for but of course they are it is twice the ram it should be. That said I have paid that much or more for 16gb kits in the past.

    AMD Ryzen 5 7600x
    RTX 4070
    B650 PRO RS
    32gb DDR5

    Gosh, I'm so jealous of your prices in the US!
    Here's what I'll build at the end of the month, it cots me 1139 eur (1237$) without at GPU:
    Ryzen 7900 (372e), Gigabyte B650 Elite Ax Ice (224e), G.Skill 32gb CL30 (124e), Kingston 1tb nvme gen4 (91e), Corsair RM850w white (139e), Deepcool LT 720 wh AIO(124e), and for a GPU I'll rock 6900xt.
    Maybe I'll live to see EU prices being the same as the US ones (prbbly not). 😤

    Excellent video! The only aspect that left me uncertain was the selection of RAM. Given our better understanding of DDR5 RAM and its performance nowadays, which DDR5 RAM and motherboard would be optimal for pairing with the Ryzen 7600 and RTX 3070?

    this was what i was looking for, after comparing the equivalent prices over here.
    most sensible build in terms of price/performance/watts, at least in my region.
    for whatever reason intel over here has quite the up-price compared to amd. the 13600KF is 305 bucks compared to 225 bucks for the 7600.
    those 80 bucks would be a dark rock PRO 4 cooler for me...that is a pretty darn good cooler...

    Thank you! I’m actually building a 7600x (on a thermalright peerless assassin 120) with g.skill ripjaws s5 32gb-5600 and 6700xt on an Asus b650e-f to have an upgrade path down the line. Last piece I’m trying to decide on is what case to buy the Lian li Lancool Mesh C RGB or the Antec DF800 flux (they both fit a 360mm radiator and are relatively cheaper) + I would fan swap either one.
