Very Beautiful Antique Pizza Knife - Restoration ASMR

- Hello everybody!🖐 @TheRestorer with you again.🔥😎
I received a very antique and unique pizza knife for restoration. I think it must be over 100 years old. Maybe it was found in an old abandoned pizzeria. In this asmr video, I will show the entire process of restoring and repairing this beautiful pizza knife. Performed detailed inspection of the damaged surface, delicate cleaning, repair of damaged parts, surface grinding and leveling, chemical cleaning, thorough polishing and final assembly of all parts. This old rare pizza knife is made of brass. After many years, the surface has become very oxidized and covered with a layer of dirt and rust. I had to thoroughly clean and restore everything so as not to damage the knife and its surface. The goal was to leave all "traces of history" (large dents and scratches) on the surface of this antique pizza cutter to emphasize its age and value. Brass takes a very good polish, so I polished it thoroughly in the final stage of the restoration. The surface became shiny and incredibly beautiful. After restoration, this old pizza knife has become like gold. Now it can be used as intended. Pizza cut with this beautiful knife will definitely be even tastier😋.
Friends, if you know more information🔍 about this rare pizza knife, then write in the comments. I am very interested in where it was made, by whom and in what year.
I hope you liked the result✨ of the restoration.🙂

Excellent!! Watching in America 😊
This is a pasta/pastry cutter. Often used to make homemade pasta. It isn't large enough to cut a baked pizza. Love watching your restorations.
Thanks for the info!)
Glad you are my follower!😊
I was thinking the same thing!
Esattamente ravioli.
Came here to say pastry cutter. I have one but no where near as fancy as this. Great job!! And on a scale of 1 - 10 it’s an 11
Not a pizza cutter, that is for pastries and ravioli. However with that said.....STELLAR restoration job. Really enjoyed watching.😊
Hello! Thank you very much for the information. How old can he be?
@TheRestorer ya know, I sure wish I knew. The one that I have handed down to me by my grandmother is also all brass, but the handle is jot as beautiful as the one you restored. It is much thinner. If you find out, please let us know!! I would love to know the era and Country of origin this beautiful piece came from.
That is marvelous how you restored that pasta cutter. It looks much better and it works like a charm too. That wheel looks like one used to make a zigzag pattern in pasta. Anyway, excellent work.
Класс!!!👍👍👍
😉💙💛
Very nice restoration ❤ from Canada
Great job! But I doubt it is a pizza cutter as the wheel is too small. At first I thought it was a tracer wheel (radeerwieltje) used when you sew to trace out a pattern directly onto the cloth. But I feel the wheel should be sharper. Would it be a ravioli cutter? Love your videos. ❤
Yeah, it's something like that, a 'crimper' for sealing two pieces of dough together or just something decorative.

@@TheRestorer your tool mayb 1940's is my guess, I have a lot of older cooking tools from my great aunt & my grandmother, I also go to estate sales thrift shops. They are much better quality than newer tools, as far as I am concerned.

I believe this to be a pastry crimper for going around the edge of pies to seal them. Great job as usual. Enjoy your channel 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I believe the item you're describing is not a pizza cutter but is used when working with leather, it is run along the edge of the seam to make holes so the item can be sewn together. The spurs on the wheel would be very sharp.😊

YEAH You brought that sound you used to have on your earlier videos. I found the signiture move that you had as a stamp you only had was when you created that sound with a bit of poff and a different frame would show us the improvements.
You have a nice Week.
Hello! And what kind of sound do you mean? I do not quite understand
It was when you would change frames and it sounded like air pressure going WOOSH.
If this tool is used for sewing, it is used to transfer markings from a pattern onto the fabric itself. You would put carbon paper on the fabric & the pattern on top of the carbon paper. Then you would transfer the pattern markings to the fabric by tracing it by rolling over it with the wheel on the tool. It's easier to do than it is to explain...
Hello! Thanks for the info. Couldn't believe this was a sewing tool)

It's a pastery crimper (pie crimper). In Italy a pizza is referred to as a 'pie'.
Hello! Thanks for the info! Do you think it is impossible to cut a pizza with it?)
Great job on all your restoration projects. Just wondering what do you do with all the stuff you restore?
This is a pastry crimper. Many many moons ago I used to use my mothers to cut plasticine. And then of course I'd drop bits of plasticine onto the carpet and not realise. Good job she loved me. RIP mother.
For these videos, do you first rust the object further by “rust blueing” so that u can clean it after? Because there’s a way of controlling the rusting process with red iron oxide that usually results in a blue kind of color.
Restaurada faca de pizza 🔪🍕😉

great video with good result , what type camera are you using -it's got pretty sharp image :)
It's a crimper, for sealing things like pies, pastries, ravioli pasta, etc
Hello! Thanks for the info.
Some say it's a sewing tool)
How would you rate my work from 1 to 10?🔍🤔😊
@@TheRestorer I do have a version for sewing, but it's much spikier as you're trying to go through the fabric, and it's a single disk with spikes/teeth, rather than this one's pleated style. The other thing that suggests it's more likely for cooking is that it's made of copper, which was preferred before stainless steel became readily available as iron cutting tools could cause oxidising on the food, like fruit and vegetables look like they're turning black where they are cut (it's been harmless).
I'd rate it an 8 or 9. It was a simple restoration without many parts to repair, but it wasn't any less interesting, and it clearly showed the effort that goes into restoring things. I liked that there weren't any extreme volume jumps that can happen when using some tools, which makes it a nice relaxing video at bedtime. Overall, an enjoyable good quality video 😊👍🏻
Im from Brazil...
acaso no es una herramienta para el cuero?

I don't know, it could be used for a pie crust? great job what ever is was used for.
Hello! Thank you very much!
Do you think he is not for pizza?
It doesn't matter what it's used for, you did a great job, 10 out of 10. Hello from California. I love watching you work and I wonder why you don't use a fiber wheel on somethings? Ever since I got one I use it on almost every tool I have. @@TheRestorer
Pizza maybe pastries Ive seen something similar used in leather detailing too.
Not a pizza cutter. Its a pastry crimping wheel, to make edges for decoration. Like that nice edge on a pie or pastry 🤤
I think it's a pinking blade for cutting textiles. The way the housing covers the blade makes me think it is not for food.
10.... tHANK YOU

ottimo lavoro. Non è però un tagliapizza ma una rotella per tagliare la pasta fresca.
Eso no es un para cortar pizza , se usaba en costura
¡Hola! ¿Y qué hicieron exactamente con él?
Isn't that a ravioli cutter? 🤔
Hello! Why do you think it is for ravioli?
@TheRestorer I guess it's the shape of the blade. The zig-zag pattern... also, I've seen one before 😉
@@TheRestorer Sure !!!
In ogni caso, molti complimenti !!!
