A model of the evolution of oxygenic photosynthesis (geobiology)

Oxygenic photosynthesis involves two photosystems with different evolutionary histories. In this video, I discuss a model where the genes for photosystem I and II came from two different bacterial lineages to combine in the ancestors of cyanobacteria.
