I'll never forget when Ange managed our local club, Brisbane Roar, to two A-League titles. He's been a success wherever he's gone and think that might continue for a little while longer.
I miss going to Suncorp when Thomas Broich and Matt Mckay ran the field. That Roar team coached by Ange was miles ahead of every other A-league side.

Not sure Simon quite understands the situation around Scottish clubs and european qualification. Rangers making the europa league final last season had no bearing on them qualifying for the champions league this season as they lost that final and the automatic place went to Eintracht Frankfurt. Rangers qualified for the Champions League this season through the 3rd qualification round by beating USG from Belgium and then by beating PSV Eindhoven in the play-off round. He's correct that Celtic are automatically guranteed the CL prize money having won the SPL but he seems to think that Rangers can't qualify where they actually will enter the same qualification rounds as they did this season and so can still qualify that way. Whether that is likely or not is another question however...

Ange Postecoglou is a really good coach and he will become a great coach. He is a winner and he will have success wherever he goes. AND his teams play exciting, attacking football.
He will soon coach in the EPL and whichever EPL club get Ange will not regret it. Ange Ball.
Ange may consider hiring an AFL performance trainer given his Melbourne background. One or preferably two pre seasons with those guys will alter Celtic players beyond recognition. Scottish football prides itself on physicality and it helps at CL time. Skill as well as physique counts at elite level of ANY football version. Soccer running bursts for 10km a game is a canter for AFL players.
The physical performance level of AFL players is phenomenal. I may be wrong but I think at one point Celtic hired a GAA coach to improve players fitness levels so I don't think that Celtic hiring a fitness coach with an AFL background is out of the question.
Darren Burgess a highly regarded AFL high performance coach once worked at Arsenal so it’s not out of the question

Didn’t know good managers only came from Europe. Ange has won as a player , he’s won with 2 clubs in Australia, won the Asian Cup with the Australian national side and got them to a World Cup, won in Japan, on his 2nd title in Scotland on his way to a treble. That’s 25 yrs of winning, no matter what the budget. I enjoy his style of football and he has an eye for a player. If you’re going to make throw away comments at least back them up with something.
League 1 most be doing good against some of the top teams in Europe in the last 10 years WITHOUT the same finances as their opposition! League 1 is embarrassing some of the Top 6 English Prem clubs!!! 😉
