My father is a Vietnam vet. He has had 3 different types of cancer, diabetes, and severe ptsd. He is now 76 and 100% disabled. All of us kids have had health problems including several of us with cancer. It's scary that our own government did this to their own people and generations will continue to pay the price. My dad too. Theres 3 of us sibs and we all have mystery illnesses no doc can positively identify, everything they think it is it isn't. Ive been saying for years whenever I go to the doc about something "weird" im an agent orange baby so this is not going to be textbook. My dads therapist told him there is a HUGE uptick in the grandkids having issues. He has 7 grandpas who all have at least 1 grand kid with weird mouth things. They all have been referred to myofascial therapists. 7 Vietnam vets of this therapists patients have grandkids with this mouth throat jaw issue stuff. Seven. Even 1 of my kiddos. Thats very odd. What stinks for my dad is even though he was in areas were it was confirmed used and whatnot he only has some precursor things all but the skin cancers...hes chock full of that. But that it is health wise So he got pushed to the side for a bit at he va. I forgot to say, im in wy too!
My dad was exposed too. We talked to a holistic doctor about it and he said it's the agent orange and drinking/eating sugar free drinks...drinks that has aspartame, sorbitol saccharine mannitol xylitol Splenda stevia SUCRALOSE it it..most gums and most toothpaste have it .also linked to dementia.
My grandfather has special forces, he got non- Hodgkins lymphoma from Agent orange. Spent most of his life going through treatments. He outlived everyone in his unit. He passed away July 4th 2016
Same for my father. Fortunately, my brothers and I were all conceived prior to his exposure. Unfortunately for Dad, the Army never acknowledged his exposure.
My dad died from cancer they were able to finally prove came from agent Orange. He battled it for 15 years. It completely altered his day to day life. I was conceived after his exposure… I have a number of autoimmune diseases, I’ve had cancer, some weird “birthmark” where no hair has ever grown on my head. ADHD. I’ve had cancer as well when I turned 40. They had no “reason” why I developed cancer at that age.
OMFG. I literally grew up in Anniston, Alabama! My Babysitter lived across the street from the Monsanto plant, and the air was so bad we couldn’t play outside. I was born with my legs twisted around backwards and had to wear full leg braces for the first 11 months of my life. I’m 45 years old (born in 1977), and I walk with a cane. I’m literally crying and I’m one minute into this video. I am permanently disabled. Thank you so much for making this video!

I'm so sorry you've had to live with this. I have known about AO and Monsanto for decades. Why do you think it is being exposed now? Monsanto is still making glyphosate and Bill Gates has been heavily involved, but now it's all becoming public.

The environmental science “professor” at my first college tried to get me kicked out for speaking up against monsanto. The text book literally said monsanto is safe and everything said against it is conspiracy due to “no scientific studies have ever been published to prove different.” I countered- yeah just because they have been blocked from being published does not make Monsanto nor their products safe. Unfortunately for her she lost the argument and ended up saying, “I am only teaching what is in the text book.” And I paused, said, “I know, and I won’t allow it without argument.” Then I left and wrote a letter to the school on my stance. I had a 4.0 gpa so kicking me out wasn’t happening. Ah, that was over 9 years ago though. I wonder what her stance is now, lol.

I can't stand teachers like that! My high school English teacher said I gave a "college level response" to a reading prompt, but because it wasn't the answer written in her book, my answer was "not it". Mind you, this was an opinion related question, not even something based on tangible facts like yours. To top it off, the answer from the teacher's book was so vague it still didn't answer the question 😅 People in education and the medical field shouldn't stop learning just because they're "at the top". We humans prove ourselves wrong time and time again on every subject. Just because 'money speaks' doesn't mean it's right. Kudos for standing up against that professor. Hopefully the other students were paying close attention so they too can question the world and continue learning.

My dad was stationed next to an Agent Orange storage depot for four years. He died as a result of Parkinson's a few years ago. I was diagnosed with degenerative disk disease and carpal tunnel when I was 15, and I developed tremors when I was in my 20s. I've also had to deal with chronic migraines since I was a toddler. My sister was diagnosed with carpal tunnel in her late teens and tremors in her 20s.
So yep, Monsanto is evil.

Words can't express the empathy I have for you+your fam🤍 I also developed DDD, tremors, migraines, arthritis, etc. in my late teens. Idk my family history so I'll go look into everything from this video. That said, I'm so sorry you struggle with those things that cause chronic pain. No young people should deal with chronic pain&sadly chronic pain is only increasing among the young. Hang in there💜
My dad died from Parkinson's a year ago next week. He was in camp lejuene drinking the water for 2 years then they hit him with agent orange . He had so many health problems and now my I do. My grandson was born with a hole in his heart and now is severely autistic and I have been wondering if this is all due to these things. We have never had autism or any other problems in the rest of our family just my dad's kids and grandson.

Especially the Vietnamese. They should have just been left to decide on their politics on their own. Instead by meddling in their politics chemical weapons were used. This is actually a war crime btw that the US only gets away with because the UN cant do jack about it.
my grandpa died of stage 4 lung cancer bc of agent orange and the VA did nothing to help. I cant thank you enough for covering this i feel so heard and seen.
The worst part, gov't KNEW about the prob w/Agent Orange BEFORE Vietnam, but it took 50 YEARS for the VA to auto qualify Vets w/health probs directly related to Agent Orange! 😤🤬
I can’t thank you enough for covering this topic! My dad was in the Army at the very end of the Vietnam War and my sister and I were born when he was in his 30s. Our dad was sprayed with Agent Orange and he passed away as a result of health conditions it caused. I have Spina Bifida Occulta which is a birth defect caused by his exposure. I am blessed to have very little issues compared to what other children went through.

Thank you for sharing! My dad and uncle were both exposed (and have since passed due to several health conditions as well).. neither my siblings or I and my cousins have had any major health issues however my cousin's son and my niece both have spine bafida and I often wondered if it is linked to our dad's exposures.

My dad is a Vietnam vet also. Me and my sibs have all kinds of mystery illnesses. My dad had a really hard time with the va cause only real issues he's ever had was skin cancers. And ptsd. His therapist told him he has 7 patients who not only have children with issues but grandchildren. Especially mouth neck throat issues. 1 of our kiddos is 1 of them. 7 Vietnam vets patients who all have at least 1 grandchild with issues severe enough they've been referred to a myofascial therapist is not normal. 1 has twin granddaughters who both got referred.
I have a dozen+ diagnosis and have been disabled from chronic conditions since I was 25, and ive always thought my parents age could be a reason for why I have so many problems, but I never even considered my dads agent orange exposure! Now I'm curious about it
Companies like DuPont and Monsanto make me want to puke. No regard for life. We have one planet, our natural resources aren’t unlimited. So sickening. Ty DH team for covering such an important topic!!!

I used to waitress an had a regular gentleman by the first name of Rodger, he was a Vietnam vet. He would always tell me stories about agent orange. He had so many burns all over him from it and health issues. He was still kicking into his 80's. Havent seen him in a long time. As I read these comments I find myself feeling less alone. My father also gave up his life in a slow death for our country during the Vietnam War. Thank you for talking about this Bailey. My father suffered from all the same things I see posted over and over here. He passed away with the demons of the war haunting him not only on his dreams but on waking moments as the dementia took him back to a place he ran from his entire adult life. Our government barely takes responsibility for the effects Agent Orange had on their soldiers and the Vietnamese they sprayed. They recognize even less the long term repercussions on the offspring of these men and women. I think we all have a long list of ailments as the offspring of these men and women. It takes us discussing and bringing more awareness for the government to recognize that it has spred much further than they think. I can barely afford to see a doctor consistently even with insurance. My kidney (1 removed for being completely malformed ), my gallbladder, my thyroid, my entire endocrine system has been my enemy my entire life and the government won't even recognize this to provide me with access to care. Grateful we have platforms like this to bring us together and discuss our stories.

My mother was a civilian worker on Agent Orange. She done typing, filing etc for the project. Once she actually started reading the files she quit, and before she left ended up cussing out those who headed this project.

My husband worked for one of the biggest food ingredient distributors in the world. The things I've found out about the food industry, the things they allow to pass, the ingredient warning labels and biohazard cautions they have to take in the warehouses and manufacture plants. I've stopped eating at a lot of chain restaurants and stopped buying a lot of prepackaged foods 😭

@lj7152 the sugary glaze on fruity cereals is made with a chemical that has a higher flammability rating than gasoline, says "will cause mutations in aquatic wildlife", and requires a hazmat suit to be worn when handling prior to processing. A lot of companies have specific ingredients that they just dump the entire bag of ingredient, unopened, directly into the vats without inspection (that's most likely where you bug parts per unit come from, crawling into dry ingredient bags).
The amount of product that gets wasted is absolutely asinine as well. My husband was made to throw over 1,000 pounds of raw almonds once only because ONE of the dozens of pallets hadn't had a batch number stamped on it. They also claim honey has an expiration date and would throw away hundreds of 5 gallon buckets of honey a couple times a year.

My grandfather died on June 8th due to liver cancer largely caused by agent orange in Vietnam. The VA gaslit him for years, telling him he was "never sprayed" despite him recalling it falling on him and burning and coating his skin. After decades it finally came out they lied and they finally admitted to it. But it was too late, he was already dying and the VA had waited too long to get him the treatments he needed while determining if it was REALLY Agent Orange.
VA could care less for their vets!
@blueeyedscorpio7 they sure don't. My grandfather lived a full life but he could have gotten treatment to not die in that way had they stopped dismissing him. The government works hard to cover Agent Orange up to this day. While my grandfather was dying, half the doctors and nurses had never even heard of Agent Orange and had to look it up somehow
My dad was exposed and fought the VA 20 years until they finally agreed his illnesses were agent orange exposure related. They gave him back pay of around 28k. He purchased a new car he had waited for.. then he died of a heart attack while on dialysis less that 2 years later. Heart breaking. Sorry about your grandfather.

Oh so I just read something yesterday about how cancer rates in young people in their 30s has increased by like 20% in the last decade. Now I know WHY this is happening.
It’s also the phones. Phones, Bluetooth headphones all emit radiation
I wouldn’t say that’s the cause for that age group. Most of us children of Vietnam vets are in our late 30’s well into our 50’s. I’d say lack of affordable healthcare and over processed foods are probably the cause of one’s in their 30’s. Healthcare went down in this country. Because if you’ve got no insurance, you aren’t going to go.

My granddad worked for Montesano as a chemical engineer in the 50s, 60s, and 70s. From what I was told he worked with several main cancer causing chemicals on a daily basis and handled them with asbestos gloves. He died in his 60s just covered with cancer. My sister was born with spinobifida, there are several members of my family with serious kidney issues, and my aunt has a very similar cancer as my grandad. Thank you for sharing this story. One of the problems with Monsanto's seeds was that they could be carried by the wind and cross-pollinate crops on neighboring farms. This really created problems for organic farmers. It was really a mess.
I just posted that they can actually take your entire crop if they find gmo plants in your field. Done via wind pollination.
They would then sue the farmers four using their seed.
My grandfather was a vet of the Vietnam war and passed away from cancer related to agent orange. His final years were agony that I had front row seat to. The government and all those whom are responsible will never be able to compensate those harmed and traumatized by their actions.

Adding to the fact Round Up is still available for everyone. In Canada, you can only suggest herbicide as last option.. Round Up being the very last. Yet, I work in a garden and see lots of people suggesting Round Up, it is so frustrating. Also MOST people don't even know how to apply a pesticide safely. I always get angry clients when explaining the safeties and when I tell them pesticide are responsible for most cancers and many other stuff, they be so surprised.... It baffles me how theses informations are not spoke of alot and how even some who knows acts so ignorant

Yes! As a farmer's daughter it always seemed like companies who weren't as bad had worse reputations. Finally in college a poli Sci teacher brought it up but I haven't heard anything since until this. Thanks Bailey and sorry to all the farmers, veterans and other folks this has impacted.
My dad & my uncle were Vietnam Vets. They served in the NAVY during that time. My dad died from a mysterious infection, & my uncle died from cancer. So this is a big topic in my family. A family friend was also a Vietnam Vet, & he died of liver disease. Agent orange also affects the 2nd generation. I'm dealing with infertility. I swear this is all caused by agent orange. Monsanto has been VERY SHADY for A LONG TIME.
I'm sorry what you're going through but a hundred percent agent orange is why you're struggling with infertility. One of my customers told me stories about agent orange and how it messed up his genetics and he can't have children.
One of the saddest things that he told me was that he always wanted to have a daughter and that was taken from him to have his own biological daughter.
My father was also a Vietnam vet who served in the navy. He died 4 years ago, his doctors even agreed it was from agent orange.

I'm an Agent Orange child as well. My dad was a sprayer of Agent Orange. I've heard it has a large half life and it could have effects up to 5 generations. My health problems I fully believe are agent orange related. I've had cancer twice, had fertility problems, and autoimmune problems. And the government will probably never take accountability.
I love my unborn children so much I will not being them here.
TRIGGER WARNING: (husband family) niece's dad was in Vietnam and exposed to large amounts of agent orange. One totally normal the youngest was born without ears or a nose, only the opening. Her mouth opening was from ear hole to ear hole. She had to wear really thick glasses. Like really thick. Everything else was normal. They had to warn me before I saw her the first time to not react. How could I not. I just started crying. It was such a shock. Sweet girl loved Disneyland. Lived by it and after she went through years of reconstructive surgery went and worked for them. Monsanto and the VA covered all of her surgeries. Her dad died in Vietnam so who knows how sick he would have gotten.

So glad you did this story. My father was exposed then had me. He is 120% disabled. Due to his DNA being changed before having me, I and my daughter suffer effects passed down. I have so many issued I can't eve work. Sadly, the government only did research on female soldiers and their children/grandchildren to cover their issues. There isn't a study being done for male soldiers and their children/grandchildren to cover our issues. I believe this is due to money since there were more men than women who were exposed.
That fact that you bring this up means sooo much! ❤❤❤ my father was effected by camp lagoon and unfortunately died of cancer when I was 16. Now older I have a son named after him. He was such a kind, strong selfless man! RIP
Edit: my son has spinabifida, finally started walking at age 3 and used a walker from age 1-2 however lack of motor skills he is very intelligent and amazing with communication

Thank you so much. My daddy died when I was 16 from agent orange related disease. My sister was diagnosed with fsgs in 2016 and nearly died, but thankfully got a renal transplant.
January of 2022 I was diagnosed with MS. I'm 43. I also have HS, crps, diabetes since I was 19 and sjorgrens. I'm an rn for the VA waiting on disability retirement now. I'm so young. My dream was to live to be older than my daddy when he died at 58 and to help veterans like him. He died alone with no one at his funeral buried alone in puerto rico. I always wanted to just go see him one more time. I will when I get to heaven I guess. Please don't forget our Vietnam veterans and theirchildren sick from this too. I still cry almost every day missing my daddy. Being so sick without him or anyone at all I just want to go be with him. I love you so much daddy.

I’m alone in this world, I’m disabled, and the future terrifies me. But we are here for a reason and one day we’ll be with our loved ones again. Until then, you’re honouring your dad by living the life he gave you, and you’re a living testament to his life and what happened. My dad was a Green Beret in the Vietnam War who passed away 01/15/2019 from bile duct cancer, colon cancer, prostate cancer all caused by Agent Orange. He also suffered from heart failure, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, melanoma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, sleep apnea, and the list goes on, all of which was caused by Agent Orange. He was my best friend and my hero and I can’t believe I have to live the rest of my life without him. I am going to have to pass on this video, it’s too devastating for me.

24:49 and yet in America we still can’t get benefits for veterans like my dad who was on the DMZ which was BOMBED repeatedly with Agent Orange. And they won’t recognize the effects it had on soldiers genetic material for children of veterans like me and my brother who have both had major medical issues all our lives. Exactly ! They didn’t bother to tell us about agent orange ( me & my sister) the reason daddy randomly got like 4 kinds of cancer, diabetes etc… until he was on hospice. Your right about the genetic stuff too.. I ended up with a hysterectomy at 34. Awful.

My grandfather was sprayed directly with agent orange in Vietnam. He passed away at 61 and had lots and lots of health issues that have now passed on down through generations after him. Thank you for talking about this. ❤️

My father is a Vietnam Veteran and he has a lot of health issues because of AO. My brother and I have a lot of health issues as well. We believe that it was passed on to us. There has been research that this is occurring with a lot of children born after they come home.
All my siblings along with my nieces & nephew along with my children all have a list of stuff that’s wrong with us and we no is from Agent Orange that my dad used for cleaning of the aircraft and other stuff. He used that stuff all the time at Camp Lejeune. They cooked, clean and drank that contaminated water on the daily

Bailey, this is my favorite video yet. My father was a Vietnam War vet. Passed away in 2013 after a battle with pancreatic cancer, leukemia and brain cancer. I lost my kidney due to tumors in ‘17, and just had another major surgery related to it 2 weeks ago!!! Agent Orange was one of the worst things that we never knew would cause health issues through generations. I’m constantly afraid I won’t get enough time to live because of something I never even came in direct contact with.

I actually just learned a little about the experiences my grandfather had in Vietnam. He was front line Infantry and heavily affected by Agent Orange. My aunt told me about how he had severe PTSD and even held my grandma at gunpoint, and many more really disturbing things that happened in that time. When he had children with my grandma, my mom came out with emotional disorders, and my uncle has Down syndrome. Us grandchildren have ADD/ADHD, learning disorders and fidget issues. I'm actually so happy to see you talking about this bc I've been curious to learn more about this topic.
As far as I know, neurodivergency is genetic. It has always existed in history, although it wasn't always recognized for what it was, so I highly doubt that one came from Agent Orange. (Boys are often over-diagnosed, but it was found more recently that girls display completely different traits, which explains why more kids were diagnosed in the last 20 years.)
Thanks for shedding light on this. As someone who used to live in Anniston and had to garden in containers and water with jugs filled out-of-town, I feel this pain. I was under water on a house for years because once this all came to light, it was nearly impossible to part with property. Monsanto gutted the town. There is nothing they have done or will do to fix that :( Its heartbreaking.
My grandfather was an engineer that worked on Agent Orange. The chemicals he was exposed to caused him to develop Type 1 diabetes. I know that it’s typically something you are born with, but despite the being extremely unlikely, he developed it later on. Before that project he was a super healthy athlete, and he did his best after the project, but he ended up passing away at a young age from a heart attack. He died when I was five, so I don’t remember how old he was but he was in his late 40s or early 50s.
Lots of people think that you have to be born with type 1. But any total absence of functional pancreatic islet beta cells results in insulin dependent diabetes which is still called "type 1" for laymen. Your education here was really valuable. Thank you for that.
Only 1 in 90,000 people are born with diabetes, it's actually very very rare to be born with it. It is also not type 1, but neonatal diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is typically developed ages 2-17, with type 2 diabetes typically developing age 18+. But, you must have the genes responsible for diabetes in order to ever develop it. So it doesn't make you develop diabetes, but it can raise the chances you will develop it if you are already at a genetic predisposition. Even so, the department of veteran affairs and diabetes specialists have said type 2 diabetes is associated with herbicides used in the Vietnam war, but not type 1.

I'm thinking the person referencing her grand daddy meant that type 1 is generally genetic...the basic critically necessaryinfo for healthcare providers or 1st responders to intervene correctly and with the haste required for life saving intervention for suspected diabetic crisis. Hence my reply to her.
There are many, many types of DM, mine Is monogenetic which makes it just as rare as neonatal but; vastly different from the DM my paternal uncle and his nephew, my cousin developed as young children and the DM developed in my father post dioxin exposure that ultimately killed him. It's an extremely complicated disease for sure.

I did in fact mean that Type 1 is typically developed in childhood and genetic, but my grandfather developed it well into adulthood. It’s something my family struggled with as no one on his side had diabetes and this was well before the internet days. We tried pursuing compensation, but as you may guess, that got us no where. We also struggled, since no one - outside of medical professionals - believed that he developed Type 1 later on in life. There is a common misunderstanding that it is only genetics that causes it.
He was a engineer working on Agent Orange for the army at the time. Who knows just how much he was exposed to, but I’m sure these chemicals can easily alter his DNA and effect his immune system response with the long periods of exposure. Additionally, employers didn’t care much about workplace safety back then. There was probably a lot of slack as far as personal protection equipment (PPE) goes. On top of working with horrible chemicals, he probably didn’t wear the proper PPE and take the proper precautions. (Not trying to blame my grandfather, but that was how things were back in the day).
All I know is that he became fully insulin dependent. Hence why he was labeled Type 1 diabetic.
I saw a documentary some time ago about Monsanto. They were interviewing farmers that were crushed because their crops wound up with “patented life” seeds from Monsanto in them. It was awful, they raked these farmers over the coal. Put a lot of them out of business.
I served on a jury for 3 whole months over several families suing Monsanto, I had never even heard of them until that trial. And I literally had PTSD for months having to listen to children talk about the effects of pcbs they were exposed to. I could write a book about pcbs just from that trial. Its mind boggling how bad it is and the general public has no idea this stuff is all around them. It's legit traumatizing.
My father was a Vietnam Veteran. He later died of cancer. Myself, siblings and my daughter have all had birth defects and debilitating illnesses.
Mine was in the Vietnam war too.. but died of other complications when I was 12. He never talked about what happened there!
All of my siblings and grandkids all have learning difficulties ,eye problems , cancers, seizures, generative disc disease, you name it we all have a list of issues from this poison

I had no idea how many of their children were affected by the veterans exposure to agent orange too. And to think the war itself was just a result of red scare propaganda (every war the U.S. started since WW2 has been).

Im currently watching Swoops doc, but my dad is a Vietnam Veteran who was exposed to agent orange, so ill definitely be watching this when im done. He also has tinnitus from all the explosions. He was a Navy SeaBee (construction basically, they had to build all the shelters for the soldiers to stay in) so he was there for the airport explosion and everything, i cant even imagine what he went through and still goes through because of it. Thank you so much for this episode. My father was exposed to Agent Orange and died of “natural causes” at the ripe age of 36 years. He suffered a long painful death. He went to the med tent for burning lungs and skin while in Vietnam after being sprayed with Agent Orange. He died fighting for justice for vets that were going through the same. Also, the detrimental health effects are hereditary. All three of his children have severe autoimmune and thyroid disorders.
I just made a connection related to this: my bf was adopted from Vietnam and was recently diagnosed with Graves’ disease in his early thirties! I hope your relatives are doing okay
My Dad was drenched in Agent Orange, in Vietnam and had tons of health issues and passed it on to myself, my brothers (who are from a previous marriage) and to my Mother. More deep dives need to be done on this topic. I was bragged about, as a baby, because I didnt have any physical abnormalities, when I was born, in 1984. Unfortunately, everyrhing has been internal, manifesting in different ways. Look into the Pact Act, to see if anyone qualifies.
Ty Bailey, this subject hits close to home for me as I'm Vietnamese and have seen the effect of agent orange. Actually got to go to Vietnam and visit it before COVID and it was a life changing trip. All the sick and deformed kids gets put at an orphanage is devastating to see. My older brother is also affected by it, he was basically born in a wheelchair and my mom developed Parkinson's very early on...

I’m so happy to see someone like you talk about this, my mom is a agent orange baby and I’m a agent orange granbaby. It has affected my grandfather, my mother, and me, my papa got it from the Vietnam war. It’s absolutely crazy how much it spreads through genetics, and how it seems to get worse in symptoms with later generations. I deal with a lot more health issues than the average 21 yr old. But anyhow yea, a lot of people like to deny it even exists. *sigh I hate our government*

My dad and father-in-law both passed away last year from cancer caused by Agent Orange from their time in Vietnam during the war. My dad was in the Army Calvery, and my father-in-law was in the Marines. I am grateful to all that served and sorry to all that were affected by Agent Orange. Not a day goes by that I don't miss my dad, and I know my husband feels the same about his dad.
My dad UCMC too … died from AO exposure. He struggled for many years and went through all kinds of treatments to try to stay alive. It was cancer caused by AO, the VA was finally able to prove that.
My grandpa was army Calvary too he died from a massive heart attack at only 56
I should add he died less than 10 years from when he was considered 100% disabled
It breaks my heart to see so many people have lost a family member to agent orange. My Dad and Brother are Airforce and some of the stories I have heard while waiting with them at the VA will make your jaw drop.. well no it won’t because it’s the Goverment.

Thank you for bringing attention to this issue. I've been trying to bring attention about my health concerns to doctors and friends because my parents were born into the Vietnam war during Agent Orange. Yet no one seems to know about this significant part of history despite everyone knowing that the Vietnam War itself was a thing.
During the late '60s and early '70s my three older brothers and my neighbor worked as flag men for a local crop dusting service here in Southeast Texas. These teenage boys stood at the end of a rice field or other field and waved flags for the crop dusters to line up with on each pass up the field to drop chemicals. Then the flaggers would move a designated number of steps to the side and wave their flags so the duster could line up to make a pass over the new section. Depending on the season the crop duster would drop different fertilizers and/or herbicides. One of those chemicals that showered these boys at each pass was Agent Orange. We, the US, sprayed not only our laborers, but also the food we were feeding to our country. The story goes on, but you get the idea. If you ate rice produced in the US at that time, you ate harmful chemicals that changed your DNA, and you passed that corrupted DNA onto your descendants. Forever.

Thank you, Bailey. My dad passed in 2010 of prostate cancer due to exposure to Agent Orange. He fought prostate cancer for 9 years. He was 53 when diagnosed and died when he was 62. I have also struggled with health issues that I believe were passed to me through his DNA. I cannot prove it, but I blame Agent Orange for some of my health issues. My dad states he wiped Agent Orange off his arms when he was in the Vietnam War in 1968-1969. He has Parkinson's from it, according to his time going to the VA. Me, my siblings, and our offspring, have been healthy. This was a great episode and I learned a lot. Thank you.
My bio father was in the FIRST wave of A.O. in Vietnam. My sister and I have some crazy medical issues. We were told that having been diagnosed with A.O. poisoning will affect our children, grandchildren x7. It has caused a lot of problems for those affected. My heart and prayers go out to those affected.
I have a friend who’s step dad recently passed away and he had agent orange. He suffered so much towards the end and it was so hard to watch and understand because I had no idea what it was and seemed so rare to have these days. My great grandfather died of cancer in very short order after a Monsanto plant explosion in Nitro, West Virginia in 1957; 3 people died instantly but according to my dad, my great grandfather and everyone in the immediate vicinity were covered in pesticides and most died of cancer in pretty short order. When my dad was first telling me this story, he opened with, “Do you know what Agent Orange is?”

My friends dad was in Vietnam and was exposed. The military attributed my friends tumor she was born with to her father’s exposure in the war. The evil our Government has done to our own people is sickening.

My uncle, Mom's brother, served in Vietnam and has since suffered from not only PTSD, but also negative health effects from exposure to agent orange, thus ultimately diagnosed with diabetes, having no history of it in our families. In the end, the VA did approve his medical costs and backpay for expenses that were gained due to his diagnosis of diabetes, but only after denying him coverage for over twenty years.
My friends father was in Vietnam. Suffered from cancer in the end and it was horrible for my friend to see his dad go through. So sad this happened.
This could have been a double episode like the Jack the Ripper episode.Roundup isnt just causing causing cancer it’s mimicking celiac disease and autoimmune diseases. Don’t buy anything but organic flour and oats or from countries where roundup is illegal. It’s life changing.
I believe that my Mother’s cancer was caused by Round-up.

My husband and his family are from Anniston, AL. Apparently, this was a huge ordeal there. I've heard so many stories about the settlements. His parents and about two other families were literally the only people in one entire end of Anniston who weren't on the lawsuit. It's really kind of strange hearing you speak about this. It's a small area and so familiar.
My grandpa was exposed to Agent Orange when fighting in Vietnam, and my mom was born with a rare birth defect in her spine. She has extra vertebrae in the shape of a mermaid tail, that happens to be fused to her spine & it’s constantly pinching her sciatic nerve. Thank you Bay for spreading awareness, because this stuff is nasty.
My step father passed away earlier this year. He served in the Vietnam War on the USS Saratoga in the Navy. His job was just to transport Agent Orange to Vietnam. All of the vets on the ships just transporting have illnesses, cancer... ect and they didn't even get sprayed. He lived the rest of his life 100% disabled, and with so much regret because he had no idea what that chemical would do to so many innocent people, his comrades or himself. This was very well presented. Thank you for bringing this to light.
My best friend got cancer from her Dad using Roundup. She was involved in suing Monsanto and won.
I had a teacher who had a big corporation hitlist and monsanto was the top of the list. Definitely brought me back to those days

Wow, so happy to see you cover agent orange and the devastating effects. Not many people have even heard of it anymore. My dad was a marine in vietnam, qbd due to his direct exposure, he has had extreme neuropathy and many other issues. But when my parents had me, i was born with a brain tumor ( operated,removed,im fine now, dont even remember,was 8mo old) and was NOT supposed to live. Luckily i did. It was after the tumor was removed that it was discovered it was a direct effect from my dads exposure,and him passing it on to ne. Had they had more children, there was a 50/50 chance they would have tumors too,and may not be as lucky. So i am an only child.

Up north Monsanto had a paint factory next to a lake . You could see water of every color in the world there. One day the lake caught fire. I suppose it wasn't the water that was burning, it was what was floating on top.

My aunt died from complications of agent orange . She served as a nurse during the Vietnam War. She slowly became crippled from the 70s to the and eventually bed ridden with eventually all losses of her nerves and muscles in the early 90s . It really broke 💔 my heart seeing her suffering like that. Agent orange is horrible long-term effects.

His first child, my Aunt Regina had horrible birth defects and died at 16 years old, my mom gave me her middle name as tribute. My Mom and other Aunt have different health issues & so do I. I'm still working with doctors to figure out what's going on.
My father-in-law came in contact with agent orange and he still has major health issues to this day. He was in the military and contracted it there. My Uncle was in the ARMY and ended up with mesothelioma and bought it home on his clothes. My Aunt got it and died from it.
My dad was a Vietnam Army Vet. He served two tours of duty between 66 and 68 . He died in April, He had high blood pressure, lymphoma, kidney disease, diabetes, dementia, COPD and other issues due to Agent Orange exposure.
my grandpa was as well, and he passed on January 29th. He had cancer and copd, but everyone basically blamed it on his massive smoking addiction (he has smoked for Years and was also an ex alcoholic)
i didn't realize his health issues could've been related to anything else from his smoking, and he NEVER talked about his experience in Vietnam. makes me wonder 🥲
COPD was a HUGE side effect with my dad. He was diagnosed at 28 and told he had 10 years to live. He was a stubborn Marine and made it to a few days before his 70th birthday. The VA always said no but when you have a bunch of guys with the same problems it’s very obvious that the Government lies!
At the age of 35, my brother had squamous cell cancer, a type if cancer only 80+ yr olds get. Or... those exposed to Agent Orange. My brother was too young to see combat in Viet Nam so it was a mystery. After much research, they found out he was exposed to it when he was stationed in Alaska. It was stored in one of the USAF hangers he worked in.
My dad was diagnosed with Parkinson’s three years ago. I asked him about round up since you mentioned that. When he was a kid he grew up around farmland and he remembers playing on the fields and they would spray round up. It makes me wonder if that was apart of his diagnoses.
