I would've understood if it was legit criticisms in the game like the issues with the power requirements for story, necessary QoLs, stuff like that. But all the complaints are basically just "We don't like this! We don't want that! We want this! We want that!", they don't like Red Hood designs, they don't like the Dave the Diver collab, they want re-runs, yada yada yada.
The outfits are still under improvement and are only concepts. The entirety of everything that happens in the event still hasn't been announced yet since its only mostly a teaser. The Dave the Diver collab is a FUCKING MINI-GAME. If people bothered actually using 0.01% of their brain to think about the information that's been provided, they wouldn't be complaining as much.
People absolutely can voice their opinion on stuff, if they don't like something there is no reason for them to keep it bottled up. As long as they don't harrass anyone and stay classy about it, nobody has any right to take their voice from them or feel offended by it.
This notion of players not being allowed to complain or be disappointed with games/content etc, being called spoiled or disrespectful for it is pretty toxic imo. Everyone has different expectations and wants and that is fine, and with a game that charges the amount of money Nikke does I feel like it's more than acceptable to be vocal about it all, good or bad.

As a new Nikke player the Dave the Diver collab was unexpected but like you said it's a mini game, it isn't the main collab. The main collab is the one that is yet to reveal
Imo the Dave the Diver collab is a way to incert a new mini game that as exactly the same gameplay as Dave the Diver without getting copyright or legal problems, I could be wrong though
There should be reruns, cuz its not fair for people who werent there for them. Like the Nikke collab, it sucks to never beable to have A2 or 2B just cuz i wasnt there. And as for complaints, i just want more fanservice and less censorship. Seriously for a game thats main draw point was fanservice, its a tually sorely lacking in that. Asur Lanes miles ahead of it, and even Snowbreaks pushing ahead in it (have you seen that nurse skin and all the interactablity it has 🥵🥵)

So step back for a minute and realize that these posts are directed at you by people who want a "heated" reaction from you and they may not even care about the issue at all.
Anyway, I hope you understand that many of us watch you for the entertainment you provide, and could care less about what a few people think. We care about what YOU think, that's it.
It generally is the loud minority who complain most of the time. Like if you go on reddit then amount of people in that sub that make up the whole player base is small and the people who complain on that sub is even smaller. Most people who enjoy the game aren't going online to talk about it in general. They are just casually enjoying it. That goes for most things.

i felt the same during the 1.5 anni, there was no Dorothy ReRun banner... and she didnt even appear in the livestream and well... no ReRun, and now the same pattern is happening with summer they also didnt appear in the livestream and therefore i can also conclude there wont be a ReRun just like Dorothy.

To be honest, re run or not, It'll be fine...since another collab is coming, winter event coming, 2nd anniversary like bro more good units to come. (Im not coping) For the skins, meh they are good, but creating a skin for a unit that isn't really much used in this day is a bit lame, but it is what it is. Viper gacha skin with her favourite item is a bit forced because it will literally make the unit better (but you dont have to) FOR THE OUTFITS, come on now it's FREE.

First Viper favorite iteam can function without the skin so this is not an excuse. Second if they release 1 treasure a month increase treasure leveling materials drop amount. Third Re runs were never announced on any livestream so why now Shift Up is not stupid to not have summer re runs they did it for winter. The only thing is time the devs put to much skins for one month spread it out more mabye two months or more. They only saw the dave collab posts and did not here for mini game and raged and not the official other one which alot of people keep forgetting to mention plus some may have watch the livestream and not everyone watched your last video but to be fair anyone with braincells remembers the road map could connect the dots and see this is not the big collaboration
The summer Livestream was for the upcoming event. They might do re-runs during or after the second part of July

I'm completely with ya my friend. I don't understand why people get so mad about everything. The skins don't even do anything. It's just for cosmetic reasons so the people who like it can buy it and support the game without getting ptw OP. It's all good. Even the Viper thing i don't feel is anything of that anything weird. What does it matter that she gets a costume now that the favorite item is coming. Still just buy it if ya want it and don't if ya don't right? Simple. Nah man. I have been vocal that all the outfits are straight up trash for Red Hood. Honestly, if they went full Yoko Littner on RH, that would have been the clear winner bar none.
The only complaint I have had with Nikke this year, and now that the new summer units have been released, is the amount of Tetra Units we have been getting. It's past memeable at this point. The only reason why I could see them doing this consistently is because we are still in the Prologe of the story. Maybe once we get into the actual fighting of the storyline, more battle like nikkes may be coming from Missilis and Elysion.
Listen, I am all for sexy waifus. I have no reason to hate the summer characters..but let's keep it 100..we need more Elysion and Missilis nikkes. Especially Elysion..their roster of new nikkes is just reruns of characters already introduced. This issue keeps getting worse, and unless SU does something soon, worse things will be said.

Don't kneel to any community. Tectone didn't get nerfed when he got pushed out of the Genshin community. He got buffed because he got kicked for fighting for what's right and calling it like it truly is. And the greater community saw that. And you're not in the wrong for saying what you say clearly and people not listening. That literally is the mobile gaming space because their attention spans are non existent. Either way keep doing what you're doing and you'll go far.
And you're right about reruns. People just want reasons to dunk on Shift Up but we still need to wait for the patch notes to find out. But imagine if we're not getting reruns anymore and units are TRULY limited. That's a very bad move on Shift Up's part if they do that. If they think the community is mad now... Oh boy that would set things on effing fire.
And honestly I'm fine if from now on Units are truly limited... But they can't just make it this way and not let anyone know. And If it's going to be this way going forward... the Limited Nikkes I don't have from when I wasn't playing (started in December) need to be removed from my Nikkepedia. Collab characters especially shouldn't be there either if we weren't playing when they were available because those never come back and will forever be greyed out. It's the worst feels bad in the collecting part of the game.
I believe all of this stems from misinformation, overreaction, and borderline being spoiled brats, cuz everything what people are responding to the announcements are either looking at them at face value without much thought or thinking it's something else entirely when there's some details that explains their answers.

I personally mainly liked the live stream. Favorite items aren’t something I particularly care about and I don’t plan on getting the gacha skin for viper, i never even use her.
The one thing I was hoping for was an SSR Rapi, I’ve got her Summer skin but I’d rlly like an SSR version of her to use.
The Dave mini game looked dope and their mini games are usually pretty good. And the summer characters looked great although I’m not partial to their strength being tied to breaking parts. I loved the last summer event and I’ll probably like this one, so I’m excited.
I'm really glad you pointed it out. when I checked on Reddit today, I did see a few people disliking the voting for the skin options regarding Red Hood. I honestly like A the most, but all of them are absolutely fantastic designs in my opinion. Are the standards of this community that high, that even Shift Up is starting to please us less and less, or am I just tripping? I thought I was the only one that thought the community complained too much after the summer livestream.
the community is definitely whining too much. everything nikke does is, in my opinion, much better than the usual gacha and live service games. and when you look at it, nikke is barely over 1.5 years old. and they already done so much stuff for the players.
That's why I like to name the Nikke community as "spoiled" in the bad way
People crying over characters advertised as LIMITED not getting reruns is fucking insane. Sucks to suck, should've started playing sooner. ShiftUp has no obligation to offer reruns for the older Summer units.
The RH skins all look kind of uninspired, agreed, but these are, at the end of the day, just concept pieces to get the community vote. I trust that the design team will deliver something great with whatever wins (which at this point is all but sure to be A, let's be real). This is the equivalent of people calling pre-alpha footage of a game 'mid'.
Also would just like to know which chthonic god is holding a pistol to everybody's heads forcing them to buy Viper skin? If you don't like it, exercise some fucking self-restraint and maybe... just don't buy it? Getting a treasure for an underused character isn't some underhanded tactic to force people to buy the skin. I see no problem with this.
The DtD collab is just for a fun little minigame. They made that abundantly clear during the livestream. Reading comprehension is a lost fucking art I guess.

Id love some reruns for the other summer nikke as well as the chainsaw collab. But I wont hold my breath for the chainsaw man collab rerun since thats licensing issues. dave teh diver is a weird collab, but Im impartial to it.
There are actual issues we should focus on that most seem to put on the wayside, the only reason im upset with vipers fav item announcement is because there isn't enough tike to get the resources together to get these things, and resources in general in Nikke is VERY hard to get. You can't grind for them all day and come up with some amount, nor consistently even pay for them (thank god for that atleadt) everything practically under an invisible timer that we slowly accumalte over time, which makes it annoying to try and build a singular character - yet alone multiple teams to do the raids-pvp-campaign-towers.
Also an issue, the Tetra bloat is real, no one cares that now we are getting even more Tetras without some Elysion rep. I love Mustang and his girls, but damn dobwe need more Elysion representation.
I’m just getting the hang of this game, and I like the game so I’m not going to stop playing the game because of how other people feel period. It’s enough that other games that have been plagued with DEI, and the harsh outcome of games being cancelled because of negative reviews and negative communities that are giving it a bad name

These streams are previews, they aren't documented reports with annotated bibliographies...
The chosen event Nikkes are there for the story they want to tell. The kits are mere previews, we have no numbers of any kind. Considering how people raved about MOG and how the RE:Zero collab felt disconnected, opening the door where mini games that go even beyond MOG while remaining thematically appropriate to Nikke should be a field goal for everyone. If anything this now means the gates for collabs has expanded significantly, ergo increase potential visibility and revenue income for the dev team to continue with the game for a while.

how is favorite item dropping with a gacha skin scummy? You get to see the costume in game because they make them good. You also get to use the base character if you already have them.I love viper's design and her bunny outfit. I dont care to use her because she sucks. Im not gonna get the skin but I get to use Viper. I personally am upset only about the rerun, as for other new shown in the video i can be happy about red hood because at end of the day is free, if you don’t like then do it by yourself a game where everyone is happy for your work done. As fo viper it doesn’t really matter if the gacha skin is an announcement of her favorite item because even if it is cool to have it is not necessary things, if you like her you can wait another skin in the battle pass to come or just buy it, if you need money than do a part time job because Shift up at end of the day is a company that want to make money to pay the stuff and other things, and obviously to also become rich too. You decide if your are giving your money or not, and if you want only free stuff you can crack the game and launch it in a private server
The game needs to get to its 2nd anniversary event ASAP. Some ppl have been commenting that the game feels boring, repetitive and expensive (if you want to swupport it) I think Cinderella could be the fresh air that Nikke needs right now. Only time will tell.

They re-ran Xmas Rupee and Anne last year. NIKKE confirmed re-runs last year
inconsisten they are, they give a 1% chance to get the old Xrupee and Xanne during Xmas but during the 1.5 Anni they didnt add a ReRun of Dorothy, didnt add her in the Mileage Shop at least or give at least a 0.5% (increased rate) to get her in the CrownBanner. and she didnt even appear in the Livestream, and this summer, the same pattern is happening, so i think No-ReRuns also.

I have my criticisms with some of the moves being made for the Summer event, but I’m still looking forward to it. This is my first Summer event for Nikke and I don’t think a lackluster skin for Red Hood and Dave the Diver, as deflating as that announcement was, is gonna kill my hype. The skins for Maiden(she’s my favorite 😊), Guilty, and Viper look beautiful. Viper getting a favorite item is exciting. I wasn’t a big fan of Rosanna or Sakura, but after seeing their Summer alters I am now 😊. And even though I’m not crazy about Dave the Diver the mini game still looks fun. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows, but the event as a whole still looks fun.
