14:56 not only rng gated but time gated too. I don’t feel like I can farm anything in this game. Leveling up equipment is a pain since the only place you can « farm » is special interception. You can’t fight raptures for drops in the campaign so you have to rely on the only thing every day.
There's just too much RNG in this game:
RNG to get the treasures, RNG to get mats for treasures, RNG to upgrade treasures
It's actually infuriating.
Loot and Waifus also reminded me of Modernia's STORY RELEVANT skin that is put behind a paywall so now Im even more infuriated.
It’s a great way to upgrade mid to bad Nikkes, but acquiring them is such a pain
Treasure system is a horrible system and the Dolls and Upgrades with a % chance to upgrade them is even sh1t1er system.
Treasures are great, the speed we can upgrade and actually unlock them is a pain, but we don't NEED to own EVERY TREASURE for EVERY CHARACTER.
He does have a point, we can totally have more than 1 release every 2 months, but his comparison to Brown Dust 2's growth system is not a good one. In Nikke, we're adding changes to skills to really flesh them out and make them really strong in an interesting way, but in BD2, which I play, most of the characters Growth system is stat increases with key nodes being an increase to their skill's stats (+10% atk dmg, +20% CDmg and such). It takes less thought to just say "Okay, their growth will increase damage %, and this upgrade will make the skill cost less by 1, good job.
The system is not so great for acquiring the items but I won't complain as long as they add Shifty collection dolls later on. 😂

In the combine system it didn’t work for me, i got the blue, purple and gold cases things. I hope it was only me as bug but can anyone tell is it a thing or another rng?

I love treasures. The grinding is pure dogwater, and my biggest gripe is that one of the OG 4 treasures requires a whole new team that has yet to be fully implemented besides the treasure Laplace has and the extra True Damage Buffer that Clay is. Once I see more True Damage Nikkes, I know Frima, Clay, and Laplace (once I finish her SR item) will be on that team for sure. I'll be happy when that happens.
favorite items of any tier are a great way to boost combat power to push pve content for more outpost levels
I don't even know how to use treasures or favorite items
First thing- You need to upgrade your Tactics Academy to class M 13-3 (so fully upgrade it) in order to unlock the dispatch mission to get materials for crafting and upgrading the plushies. Second, in order to upgrade a plushie to the personal item of a nikke, she needs to be one of the selected few with access to those (Laplace, Frima, Exia, Diesel and Viper) and she needs to be at least 3* (consumed a spare body 3 times), you need to upgrade the relationship with that Nikke at lvl 30, you need to upgrade a SR (purple) plushie given to her to lvl 15, AND you need special materials to upgrade each personal item (A LOT). You get the plushies at random on solo raids (and perhaps other events in the future) or get one at random by using collected materials from the dispatch missions at the bulletin board and some other quests during special events or weekends. You can obtain plushies at R (blue) and SR (purple) rarities and both of those can be upgraded using maintenance kit boxes (also obtained from dispatch missions, solo raids and some events). You can give a R plushie to a nikke and later give it a new SR plushie (the R one will be lost, you can't take a plushie from a nikke), but it seems that you lose a bit of your upgrading progress so I'm not 100% sure, so it's best to give the R plushies to nikkes that are unlikely to get a personal item anytime soon and never bother to upgrade it. Alternatively, if you don't care about any of the current nikkes with personal items or think the rate of obtaining items to upgrade the personal items is too much of a drag (you can get 3 materials daily- the first upgrade costs 60 (I think, I don't remember) and the second upgrade costs 110 materials, you can just focus on giving SR plushies to your most useful nikkes and upgrading those plushies- the stat boost is worth it (it raises the nikke's power rating quite a bit)
Hey toshironikko.....treasures and fav items are the same thing. The original name was treasure and it was changed to fav item. Only 5 nikkes have fav items...Diesel, Exia, Frima, Laplace and Viper. The requirements are bond 30 and the to get the weapon specific doll for the NIKKE. The dolls come in both R and SR. You can only upgrade and not downgrade. As soon as you equip the doll it can not be removed. To get the dolls you need to do special missions in the outpost bulletin board which is unlocked via tactics academy OR do solo raid when it's out every month. As soon as the SR doll reaches phase ( level ) 15 AND the NIKKE reached bond 30 the fav item missions get unlocked. It gives you the story behind the item which is very good if you are a lore nut like me. If you have only r dolls that's fine. You can equip them to the NIKKE of your choice and dump XP into it by using maintenance kits. The XP isn't lost when upgrading from R to SR. Hope this helps. If you are early game into NIKKE then don't worry too much about the item since the requirements are too high. It's basically for mid game to vet players.

People are complaining a lot about this, but even just giving everyone on my main team an R doll and levelling that up to 15 did WAY more for me for pushing campaign or doing better on raids/challenges than the harmony cubes.
And I can get them for everyone, no limit like harmony cubes.
I can get the maintenance kits every day from daily bulletin board and soloraid, batteries only come from solo raid or union raid, way harder to lvl up cubes past 7 this way, it took me months just to get resilience to 7 to begin with.
The only bad part is needing dupes for the treasures, other then that this system is SUPERIOR to harmony cubes in every single way.
NO goddamn harmony cube can turn a B tier Nikke into a S or SS tier Nikke like the treasures can, I feel like everyone seems to miss out on this point, the buffs are just insane.
Molds are way worse than collectibles, cubes are worse (getting batteries + amount needed), getting OL gear + lines is also way worse then this(my jetstream Scarlet still only has 1 piece of Pilgrim gear, kidding me?).
These are the things I wanna see fixed first.

Combine system is amazing if you have too many dolls and dont have anything to do with them btw, it guves 20 sr mats or 10 ssr mats for 4 dolls like thats allot
I will say his criticism at the moment is not valid as the treasure system grind event is currently not out yet as I’m assuming they are working on it to make it balanced until the event is out we can’t really criticize it
Of course you can criticize it. You can criticize the fact that they released this whole stupid system half baked and not fully completed. Who the fuck releases a whole-ass gear system like this only half-finished? Shift Up does, that's who.

2. They are releasing ways to get those resources bit by bit one to make sure it’s effective and 2 to give players incentive to play. As of right now you can’t speed blitz the sr gear yet really shouldn’t complain until it’s fully implemented I am guessing they are waiting for more units to have favorites first

The reason why companies dilute SSR boxes, molds etc is to force people to buy them in bunches to avoid the grind. If people want things to change they need to STOP buying ingame items and rise a fuss about it so that way they know they can't just ignore it
It takes way too long to get the favorite treasure. A lot of other games you can get them extremely quickly to upgrade units. People still don’t have them fully maxxed out. There is to much RNG. RNG to get the right item, RNG to get the exp items and RNG in perfect sucess. Then you have to get the items 3 a day out of 101 to max it out which is over a month after you’ve upgraded it. You have soloraid to slightly make that shorter but that’s once a month. Other gacha games let you do it the first day it comes out. Dokkan battle, fire emblem, fate grand order. Etc etc

Drope rates need to be better, the system that's on makes you have to prioritize which Nikke you want to have a collectable, the R dolls are ok but the SR dolls are the most sought after since one day said Nikke will have a favorite item one day. And you need an SR doll to convert into a favorite item.
The complaints with Viper favorite item is weird considering most are meta slaves she’s an attacked that will eventually get replaced by another attacker but with little to no investment compared to her favorite item grind

The combine system isnt even that bad, getting a guaranteed level 5 sr doll is pretty huge for material save when combining
It wouldn't be bad if you could get a guaranteed SR doll... instead you have a 15% chance of getting a random SR doll, and an 85% chance of getting doll upgrade mats.
if more and more nikkes are gonna get favorite items they gottta make them easier to get because some nikkes are on the border of being unusable without them
Treasures are a great edition. But the sources to get them are too little. Solo raid are the only way to truly get them. The time to upgrade the favourite item is fine for me but not the rng to just get or upgrade the base treasures
I like content creators who actually talk about the problems, it’s far too long to get even 1 favorite item, let alone the rest. The system for obtaining dolls and upgrade materials is just far too slow. The favorite item system is an amazing concept and if we got more mats, or the requirements were alittle lower, this system would be perfectly fine. Bring some attention to it and maybe shift up will listen.🙏
I think people need to come to terms with the fact that not every character will get a favorite item.
Lets just say they speed up the system insanely, one treasure every 3 days, and they speed up progression to match, at that rate we would have a treasure for all characters within a year, BUT, where would that leave Laplace? She would once again be at the bottom of the pile because now the entire game got power crept and she is once again in the dog house.
In Nikke you mainly use 5 characters, those will be the 5 most powerful characters, that is how that works.
Popular characters, either because their story, or waifu potential will sometimes get a boost back into the meta.
What really needs to happen is stuff like elemental towers that reset every 3 months, content where you use 3 nikkes, 7 nikkes, only burst I nikkes, only burst II nikkes etc. That would create a multi layer meta where you might want Laplace for one type of PvE and Rapunzel for another.
If you are a signal lover you will always be SoL though xD

One thing's for certain, the grind for a Treasure is still easier with better rewards than 6 months of consistent Liberation grind for mid characters.

Heck yeah, screw combining! It’s already hard enough just to get one doll. And you have to combine multiple to get one that has a chance of being an unneeded doll. Screw that.
i Definately feel like treasures was a bad decision with the way it was implemented as a late game player at lvl 409 i feel like it makes pvp more toxic cause if you have bad rnj on dolls and someone gets good luck upgrading you're going to suffer for it i feel like dolls need to be null in pvp.I think overall that treasures can be good but there is definately room for improvement

f2p's aren't the one crying. If anything, it is benefitting them more since they can asspull Super Success rates like nothing and tryhard more difficult content despite being behind the 160 wall.
Have you ever heard something like "I couldn't play that in public" or "I would be ashamed to be seen playing that in public" when talking about fanservice on games? Well, all my life I disregarded such comments as "normie problems"- the kind of issue that bothers you when you're young or care too much/are affected to much by what others think. Well, I felt that way for the first time in my life with the animation to upgrade the commander plushies- I can only wonder why in a game where they could make everyone happy with simple animations patting the head of the nikkes (or somewhat rubbing them if they were willing to go extra spicy) they decided to use something that looks like you're rubbing a child- one more example of shift up not understanding their game. It wouldn't be hard to just say that you delivered the materials to each nikke for them to fix and cuddle their plushies and you provide additional "support" to them.
