I never thought of that. If Amber knew who he was weeks before hand, why did she flip out on him like that, for NOT running off, but actually saving the day. And then she is just back, after his father beats him half to death, like nothing happened? I dunno if its bad writing or just me about to be ad hoc told "Oh, she had to play it up publicly"

Am I the only one that didn’t understand why Amber got so pissed off at Mark? Yeah I get he was late a lot but she knew he was out there literally saving lives and he did the best he could. Idk the whole argument just seemed so petty
It was *really* petty and Mark deserved better than to grovel for it.
It was more about he constantly never told her but jeopardized their relationship constantly. Like it's one thing to be a little tardy. It's another to constantly stand someone up for big things like dinner with parents. Or to not trust your partner of almost a year for why you are standing them up all the time. He wasn't just a little late all the time, he would outright go missing with no explanation.
Yeah Amber was a terrible girlfriend, getting pissed at him for lying while she was keeping the fact she knew he was a superhero to herself. Saving the world is a little more important than dinner with your stupid parents Amber. Also, the fact that he was new to being a hero, trying to work out how to balance his life/secret identity and almost dying over and over while STILL doing the best he can to make it work with this crazy girl.
I couldn't stand her for that. At the beginning I was rooting for their relationship, but once her petty self-absorbed side showed, I got fed up. And after rewatching the series, idk how I missed the "NLOG/Cool Girl" trope that her character was plagued with. That whole nonchalant facade she had felt flat immediately. I wish they would just make Superheroes asexual. They don't always need to be in a relationship, especially ones that are this frustrating to watch.
@@KarishmaChanglani Yeah and in any other circumstance he would be wrong but again he's literally saving lives. And it's a bit selfish to expect him to tell her immediately when that information could put both him and his family in danger if word got to the wrong person. That's trust you have to build up over several years not a few months

I always felt like they had different animators during the fight scenes, because when it's the fight scenes they always kind of look like the comic art style (especially Mark) but then totally different when it's not

That line is very *poignant* because despite everything that happened, Mark will always love ❤️ his dad (Nolan).
That line was a dagger in his heart. He didn't even know what to do after that and just left.
Finally someone pointed out how Amber is mad at Mark for leaving when she says she knew he was invincible while they were at the college. It’s been bugging me that no one seemed to notice.
No one noticed because it's the next episode, and shows like this routinely have vague timelines.
The whole show takes place across months, but it's only 8 episodes. We really don't know how much time is between episodes. (For example, they say that Amber and Mark have been together for 5 months.)
So when the show puts in a separation between "where we you?!?" in one episode and "I've known for weeks" in the next episode, it can be difficult to realize that those events are only 1 day apart.
