This removes the stress of being in charge of the SMO, lets him focus on what he's been doing very well for a over a decade, rebuilding the Russian military and the military industry, while still keeping him available.

Whyever would Russia want a scapegoat?
They've completely crushed the Ukraine military AND demilitarised both the EU and Nato to such a point that USA has been unable to hold artillery training as normal for 2 years now.
Germany has enough ammunition to fight 2 weeks of war, or 2 days at the intensity of SMO. And just during 2022, Germany lost around 30% of its industry.
UK has no more missiles, its ships are falling apart, a grand total of 38 tanks and would be hard pressed to put more than 38 thousand troops anywhere away from their home bases.
France, lol, they can maybe deploy 20 thousand troops abroad, barely. They have barely any ammo for heavy weapons though.
      Etc etc...
The EU is selfdestructing thanks to the sanctions and USA is following roughly the same track, just slower, but at the same time is also reaching epic levels of financial incompetence, for the first time ever spending twice as much as it is getting from taxes, and racking up 1 trillion more in debt every 3 months.
While Russia's economy is doing better than EVER before, civillian industry growing by over 7% in 2023, and overall economy probably went up with around 4%, possibly 5%, final numbers pending.
Russia is crushing the west and will simply because of the wests idiocy very likely end up having to annex all the Russianspeaking parts of Ukraine and possibly all the way forward so the new border becomes from western borders of Kiev oblast to Odessa oblast.

The funny part is that they act like shuffling around will change something. When 1/3rd of the military budget ends up in putins wallet and the other third in the minister and his goons it won’t matter who’s sitting there 😅

LMAO, do you actually believe this? I actually made a bet with a German dude *two years ago,* who said that President P. would be ousted by the end of August :D
IMO, this is *pure projection* on your part. No *German* is gonna say in 5 years "well it was worth it".....The "it" here of course committing economic suicide on behalf of the USA and cutting yourself off from your source of cheap energy that made your industry globally competitive 😉

It’s very telling that Putin only removed Soigu now after elections. This shows that Shoigu either is influential and possibly untouchable. The reason is why would Putin save someone who’s failed so hard? Does Putin feel obligated? Is Putin being blackmailed? We’ve seen Putin go after other Oligarchs, but stops short of doing so with others like Shoigu. Very interesting… this leads me to believe that Putin truly isn’t the autocrat he puts on heirs to be.
