Welcome to the Heavy Spoilers show, I'm your host Paul and this video we're breaking The Walking Dead.

The penultimate episode is back and throughout this video we're gonna be going through everything in the new episode before we hit that finale. Rick and Michonne are spending some quality grimes together after hitting the road last week.
Their love nest had come crumbling down due to the actions of the CRM and Michonnes now realised the truth of the matter.

The A on Anne/Jadis’ grave could also be a reference to the original series. “A” was a recurring symbol that was meant to show how characters were trapped. Eg - Terminus car, stamping A for Alexandria on Rick’s hand, Daryl had a big A on his jumpsuit when he was a prisoner at the sanctuary also

I probably in the minority here, but I kinda want this to be just one season before they go back, and let them reunite with the casts, but I want the whatever continuation is still have Rick to be the lead like this. Bring everyone together, even that Daryl was stuck on France.

In the Cast Diaries, the actress confirms that Jadis didn't tell Gabriel that Rick was still alive and that it was a part of the guilt that she was carrying not telling him that.
Ive loved Jadis' character all along. The acting in this episode was crazy good
Mad theory and it’s a bit long sorry.
Before I thought Jadis might be the mastermind but maybe it is Beale. Maybe he ALREADY SAW THE FILE and actually knows all about Rick this whole time and he’s been toying with him all along. Not to screw with him but to indoctrinate him. Very slowly. We’ve seen Rick be conflicted when it comes to CRM. You have Ricks loyalty you potentially have the keys to Oceanside, new Hilltop, and anyone else who would follow to him. I also think he knows about the Commonwealth which he might here’s why:
If Lance Hornsby was making deals with “Certain Alliances” then maybe that was Beale and he knows all about that lot too. Maybe he knows who Morgan is and his allies. After all Morgan took out two CRM soldiers and he’s walking around looking for ‘Rick Grimes’ on a radio.
If Beale already saw Jadis’s file he may know about not just Morgan but certain names such as Negan, Daryl, Carol, Maggie, which may lead him to hear about what some of these people have been up to as of late (which is a lot now). Remember the Commonwealth also had files on people.
Beale was messing with Rick when they had their chat in TOWL ep1 on the bench. He called him ‘Grimes’ but then ‘Rick’ when he didn’t believe him. He knew Rick was lying about Okafor because, and get this Beale KNOWS EVERYTHING. Maybe he wants Rick on his side and his people as he knows what an asset they all are. He wanted to test his loyalty and see if he was willing to go through with ‘improving’ the CRM because Beale wants Ricks strength and influence even though he’s an A. You control the leader you control the rest potentially. He see’s Rick as his.
During Okafors funeral he directly addresses Rick in a way. Knows that Rick’s fought many wars and will one day choose the right side (CRM). Once you’re institutionalised or indoctrinated it’s very hard to get out of that mindset and you can see Rick is almost drawn to Beale in a way. (Also there’s a Mercer name reference which could be nothing but also might be a Commonwealth Easter egg)
The thing is while Rick was busting drunks and telling off loitering teens as a cop in King County, Beale was destroying his enemies. He’s very clever and very manipulative and a seasoned warlord. I think maybe he’s got one on Rick. And if I’m wrong I’m betting he ends up finding out about them in the end.
Beale has been kind of a strange and seemingly unthreatening character but we know what he did to Campus Colony and others and we know that if all goes wrong he will wipe every one of his enemies out of existence. Can’t wait for final ep!

This side story with Gabe allowed us to start caring and understanding Jadis a little more after hating her for 4 episodes was pretty cool..

One thing that I'm considering for the finale is that it might put Rick or Michonne's in the same place that Okafor was when he bombed 4,000 Marines: able to kill a powerful force, possibly with explosions, that threatens countless innocent lives, but at the cost of sacrificing the person that they love most in the world.
Expect a tease. Neither will betray the other. They're both with their kids in the end.

I think the way they did show was a test for miniseries or movies costs. And it has been so good we'll see it.
But sadly, I dont see the reunion in this last episode of this season.

Great video Paul😊 I’m so glad you’re covering this, so I can go straight from watching the episode to your breakdowns. I really hope they aren’t done with just six episodes… It really feels like taking the time away and being in this together with their input has really revitalised Danai and Any’s love of this world. I’d be really gutted if there wasn’t a reunion between Rick and Daryl ☺️❤️and Michonne and Daryl! The bond especially between those three is unreal. Actually also Rick and Morgan now that he’s gotten away from the Fear world, they’ve really left the door open for that… Those four are easily the best warriors across the franchise. it’s all so exciting now!!

I’m loving this show but I’m really curious as to how this will be wrapped up in one episode. We need one more season bc we’ve barely seen any Beale
I too am struggling to see how they’re going to be able to wrap this up and give it a satisfying enough resolution in just one single 45 minute episode.
Regarding Beale--with as good of an actor as Terry O’Quinn is, the lack of screen time he’s gotten so far is downright criminal. When I found out he got the part, it had me SO pumped…so it’s been a bit disappointing not seeing much that him other than the short speech and a few brief interactions with Rick.
Here’s to hoping they knock this out of the park and that Beale has a much bigger role to play in the final episode. 🍻 ❤

Rick taking a grazing headshot just like Okafor did was a really cool moment in ep 5 and I think is re-enforcing this idea of change/buring it down
I was happy to see Gabriel ! And at the end I did feel bad for Anne . Good episode. Little corny at first til the real Rick showed up when he pointed the gun at those ppl .

Honestly Jadis giving up the dossier was whack. After she threatened, tracked and attempted to kill them was like wtf. It was a very weak plot point even if she was conflicted, the execution was poor.
If this show does not get nominated for any kind of Emmy or any kind of other awards I don't get it this show slam dunk everything if it doesn't win there's got to be at least four more seasons there is nothing else out there that's better and has a bigger back fan base then The walking Dead keep up the great work keep up the great videos just gets better and better

Beale dying next week is gonna be such a let down, we barely got anything of the CRM and Beale himself. This should be more seasons and CRM should be more threatening and stronger than they really seem. If they had plans to do 3 Movies, this definitely doesn’t seem like 3 Movies in 1 Season.

It be a good plot twist if Jadis never actually had a file on rick and just told him that when she was dying so he would have to go back. Like maybe she was hoping that while he was pretending to be on the CRM's side, once he heard their big plan he would honestly join up with the cause. It would explan why she suddenly acted so remorseful and told them where to find the file which contrasted everything she had said and done up until that point. I felt like that sudden tonal shift was very jarring and didnt make a lot of sense.
Jadis has always seemed kind of conflicted. In TWB, she indicated to Huck that she was traumatized by the loss of her people and that it drove her to be so loyal to the CRM's cause.
It kind of makes me sad to think that Rick probably won’t reunite with any of his old friends but I’m also kind of happy to know that it’s not entirely confirmed yet

The one thing that struck odd to me in this episode is Rick and micchone being stupid enough to leave a trail of soup package wrappers for jadis to follow or for that matter using that truck in the first place. He knows how meticulous the crm would be destroying evidence of there existence and he is of importance to the army not to mention jadis is going to make damn sure he is dead to protect herself

I'm not sure she meant that literally. She placed more emphasis on the yellow truck and the dead walkers. She probably just found some wrappers at their campfire and maybe at the vending machine with the dead walker and the store.

Completely off subject but i thought Okafors mission to infiltrate the CRM with "A's" was gonna play a pivotal role the way they hyped it up. But boom no more Okafor. Kinda liked that guy. I liked the way he talked. He annunciates with the best of em i stg.

This is how it's always been, but many ignored it with TWD. When Michonne decides on a path Rick follows through to make it happen even if he's a bit resistant at first. She said they were going to Alexandria, she said they were going to war with the Saviors, she said they needed to find a way to bring the communities together after the war & Rick worked to make that happen.
Rick's attempts at escape kept failing b/c he didn't have Michonne leading the way. Mind you she made one escape attempt with both of them & was successful.

This episode was really weird.
Watching rick and michonne traveling around without a care in the world was so dumb. They're in an appocolypse and they can die any moment. They gave a group of starving people who threatened to kill them a gun back. Season 5 Rick would never do that and especially Michonne.

There absolutely needs to be more. I don't give a shit that the main series is over with. They need to wrap up the entire TWD universe in a way much better than what the season 11 series finale did.

No way they will end it in episode 6 it's so many clues in episode 5 if you pay attention and this is the best spinoff out of all 3 and i like the other 2 spinoffs as well and it's no way that rick and michonne gonna kill thousands of soldiers by themselves 😂 even if they kill hundreds it's still gonna be more so yes it will be a season 2 no way they will leave this show with one season and the other 2 spinoffs getting a season 2 doesn't even make sense we need a reunion with Morgan Daryl Maggie rick and negan rick and his kid's they will not end it like that they know what people want
I think Daryl is slightly better for now I’m going by an episode by episode basis the first 5 episodes of Daryl are better but who knows episode 6 may change that for
They don't need to kill them ALL, just Beale and his top commanders and maybe the Frontliners. All of whom are going to be in one place at the same time very soon. Do it right and it wouldn't be too difficult, especially since, having built that base, Rick would theoretically know all of its secrets. So💣 💣 💣 💣 💣 💣 💣 💣 💣

i think the first scene of gabriel with the helicopters flying over is current day after the events of episode 6 what if they don’t get the files or do but some how crm still knows about alexandria every scene of gabriel showed a title screen with it informing you where it is in the timeline but in the first scene there is no title card could it be current day are crm blowing up alexadria or sending a reclamation team it sounded like 2 helicopters and the alexadria set is gone i think the first scene of gabe was current day and they’ll pay it off in the next episode praying for second season

That’s really interesting… man there are really great possibilities going forward and I LOVE how the reception for this show has been overwhelming good and so have the viewing numbers. Gives me a lot of hope about this universe and it’s really interesting that the other two spin-offs both got immediately green-lit for second seasons so this whole walking dead world is very much alive and revitalised!

Rick didn't kill Jadis bruh. It was the walker and they even tried to save her.

I hope they do a 2nd season ,just 6 or 8 episodes to show some of Rick back at Alexandria . My wife and I have watched every show of the main line and all but the newest Negan and Daryll spinoffs , but will probably watch those at some point. I've kinda grown a little bored with the show but I'm sentimental , and it's become part of our family Ina strange way. I guess we'll see what they do.

I was rooting SO MUCH for Jadis/Anne this entire episode…she spoke the absolute truth while Michonne’s egotistical ass kept holding onto “we can kill whoever we want and no one can stop us” BS….so glad all that got shut down NO exceptions and now her and Rick are forced to do what they should have done all along…🤨

Every scene with Gabriel was him on the east side of the country (Virginia) in the area he’d meet with Anne.
Every scene with Rick and Michonne was on the west side of the country, no where near Gabriel.
The episode was Gabe and Jadis annual date to meet up.

It was a good episode. I just didnt like that Father Gabriel was so sad. I loved his one liners in TWD. He was funny adorable ❤ & ruthless.
Was good to see Gabriel and I liked how jadis got her moment but didn't like the gun standoffs and with the random surviors . For about 15 mins It felt more like a fear the walking dead episode bit too much going into the finale . I defo want a season 2 though was an OK episode

Why Jadis is so afraid of Rick returning to Alexandria? If so why she doesn’t kill them? Why she saves the ring to give it to Rick? She cares about Rick and Michonne relationship?
Isn’t it obvious that the info about Rick and Alexandria is in a place where CRM could easy find? If she kept it in some secret place nobody would ever find it.
Jadis wanted it to be easy to find in case they killed her. And she didn't want to have to kill them, she just felt like she had no other choice. Jadis was once Rick and Michonne's friend, on some level she still cared about them and all of the people who took her in that she lived with for 19 months.
The people that complain only look for the negative things. There’s always the option to just stop watching. This episode was amazing, and I have been a fan since season 4b aired
Tbf tho some people have been watching from the beginning and just want an ending or the writing to get better.. and don’t drop something cos it’s hitting a bump in the road. If you’re a fan of something u wanna see it get better.

Lol if someone is sitting down watching a episode but is not immersed instead struggling with the decision to turn it off because it's just too ridiculous unlike before with other episodes where they never had that issue that means something obviously isn't working in writing🤷♂️
the majority of the people watching this show seem to absolutely be fine with the first 3 episodes but clearly people have issues with these last two including me who also had issues with the third episode and when I turn a episode on I'm not saying to myself what can I pick out that doesn't work nah it just comes to me in the moment of watching, the flaws are so obvious and people like you have an issue with those of us calling out the good and the bad I say again the GOOD and the BAD. Nothing ever gets better if you just act like a teacher's pet or a shill and praise only the good and claim they can never do no wrong that's how we end up here with episodes like four and five a big ol Pit Stop roaming around in circles having the same conversation in different variations...
We expect better of the show we deserve better and gimple has had many many years to craft a well-structured and eventful conclusion to these two characters I don't need to be spending another 2 to 4 years of my life watching them milk the cash cow and it all get played out🤷♂️

They keep talking about Alexandria being their home, but they don't know about the commonwealth jadis was the only on who knew so I feel like next episode jadis will have something in the base (like a radio) or on the dossier
I'm not sure she knew about that either. But they go back to Alexandria and the people there would just point them to the Commonwealth.
