The Ones Who Live Episode 2 is out now and throughout this video we're gonna break it down. Last week I was a bit skeptical on whether was gonna cover but now I'm obsessed with Walkers like Gary Linekar.

Now I'm on Michonne to bring you weekly breakdowns and give my thoughts on how the series is going.
The new entry is filled with easter eggs and references as well as some clues on where we could be heading.

Nat didn’t convince Michonne to keep going forward at the camp fire. They were actually on their way to Alexandria when they came across Rick’s helicopter. They were along the east coast going to Virginia and in episode one Okafor told Rick that he liked that he was flying along the coast.
Exactly cuz Nat also mentioned that they’d be in range soon. (In range for her to be able to contact Judith through the radio)
Thank goodness for these platforms because I missed some stuff and I appreciate these points of clarification.
It was only when Michonne gave up that she actually found what she was looking for.
Jadis keeping knowledge about Alexandria will be very important. I felt a while ago that crm would play a major role in this season of the ones who live. It was not going to just be a setup for next season or for a crossover. It might go into a season 2. But we should get a solid idea where the conflict should be centered at by the season's end. And that connection with Fear is more evident. Michonne escaping from the dte attack with Matt reminded me of Morgan escaping from the nuclear fallout with Alicia. And them staying in that bunker reminded me of June and John staying in that underground silo together. One more thing: Rick losing his hand and replacing it with a hiding blade in a replacement hand had me think of Alicia's prosthetic hand that she used as a weapon way more than Aaron did.

I love how Nat took out Okafor, who was a great soldier and strong character, and went "huh I guess it was a dud"
Yeah lol, took a second for the penny to drop for me but such a creative way to show it from the other side
@@heavyspoilersI was thinking that it actually is a dud, and although Okafor ate the entire explosion, it was still a dud because it would have taken out at least Rick if it wasn’t.

Different names for the Walkers isn’t stupid. It’s how language works. Isolation and new discovery will bring different jargon. Why we have neighboring countries with different languages.
Exactly!!! Rick got Walkers from Morgan. In The World Beyond, everyone called them Empties, including Jadis. Aiden and Bailey's people called them The Wailing. Using the term Walkers would suggest a connection to Rick.
Or how there’s different names for things depending on what part of the states you’re in. If something like this happened in real life, I guarantee everyone would have different names for them.
I loved that different groups referred to the dead with different names.

This show is genuinely great. If this was the main series, the storyline of episodes 1 and 2 would've been stretched out to a full 16-episode season.
What's wild about Matthew Jeffers being casted as Nat, is that it was Danai Gurira that pull him into the series after working with him on a play. She loved him so much from their time together in the theater that she made a spot for him in the series since both her and Andrew Lincoln had a lot of creative control for the story being told. I can't believe they killed him right off the jump though. Really loved him and the series thus far. It's been jam-packed and has me hyped about zombies again.
It sucks but makes sense. He was the friend she needed, but once she was back with Rick his "mission" was done. Just like Okafor. Someone on Twitter talked about how Michonne & Okafor are visionaries while Rick is a builder. Okafor abused that to get Rick to start creating his vision, once Michonne was back in the picture there was no way Rick was listening to Okafor so he was quickly dispatched.

I liked that Michonne was smiling when the helicopter landed to pick them up. It mirrored the scene of Rick in TWD finale when the helicopter finds him!

I think the walker carrying the cargo for them was more a reference to how michone was introduced to the series and how she had two walkers following her for protection.

@@heavyspoilers The problem is that both she & Okafor are not the only ones who know things about Rick. A Helo crew picked Jadis up when she saved Rick 7 or so years ago and Okafor was not the only person in the Helo that recaptured Rick. There would be a minimum of a 'Pilot', 'Copilot' and at least two crewmembers onboard each Aircraft that we've seen in this whole franchise thus far.
Remember the CRM is an ORGANIZED community with an exceptional large Military presence. Even the Helo Nat shot down was carrying 7 or 8 people. And the CRM always knew where Jadis and her people were, they were 'trading people for supplies' with them. If Rick didn't know before, he has to realize now that the Helo he saw during ALL OUT WAR was the CRM. Who knows whether or not the other communities were ever 'spotted' by any of those Choppers.
I really liked similarities you brought about Eugene and Nat. Seems pretty interesting and both are such good characters really.

as someone that stopped watching TWD long time ago, this show has me so far.
Once they brought in the zookeeper and the medieval times outfits I checked out… tried fear and made it through 1 season and wasn’t compelled to come back..
The anthology series was good

I mean it wouldn't be so bad Maggie and neagan being caught with there relationship to rick and michone going completely unchecked but still disappointed little gadget man didn't make it with his bombs and rocket launchers typical walking dead kill everyone ask questions later

Many of The Walking Dead shows are notorious for introducing really great characters only for them to be killed off in the exact same episode. Those awesome one and done type of characters. That's why I try my very best to not get attached to any new people LOL.
In Episode one the art of peace and in episode 2 morgans weapon of choice . Probably a nod to morvan. But i think morgan eill return. Perhaps morgan will find the stuff rick and Michonne left in the woods right before they got picked up by CRM

Thanks for setting me right on what i thought was a continuity error on the 1st rocket being a dud. I thought it was a dud that missed the target. Great job.
What I learned from this episode is that without Rick on screen I fall asleep. First 10-15 minutes was a snoozefest until CRM came. The Michone half of the episode felt rushed, but honestly i wasnt interested in it all so i guess thats a positive?
Another great episode 👏🏿 its do refreshing 👌🏾 feels like Season 1-4 if the original ..excellent writing ❤

Judith told her that they took care of Alpha and most of the herd, they thought that it was done at that point. The gang didn't realize that Beta was going to continue on after Alpha was dead.
The show is living up to the hype!
There was actually great acting in this. Loved the characters immediately. I don't think I can remember any walking dead episode that had me on my toes like this one since the older seasons. Maybe one episode of Daryle. This was pieced together well, no dragging. Each episode is straight to the point. I think if they continue to introduce a few side/main characters instead of a bunch for the viewers to care about them, this will definitely work. These episodes are intense because hypothetically if this was real. I believe the government would be the same as this.
are you serious? pieced together well. This episode was a complete drag compared to the first episode. Filled with pointless characters and a pointless backstory. Not too mention a horribly unrealistic way to take out a helicopter
Michonne didn't inspire the whole group to "ditch their lives to help Rick". She insired Nat, who's been wanting to leave the group & some others felt the same as him. She wanted them to go to Alexandria while she looked for Rick
Prediction: the dreams in episode 1 are not dreams. they are jumps in the future where rick and michone need to conceal their relations to protect themselves from the CRM. So on the surface they need to start over and fall in love again so that the CRM doesnt suspect they were together before entry into the CRM.

I was giving this series a chance until the end of the episode where Rick tells Michonne to lie about who she is...while knowing that Jadis is in the CRM....
Not going to bother watching this until after a couple seasons where I can be sure Scott Gimple-the guy who is weird af and makes everyone around him uncomfortable because he has no clue how to behave in society-doesnt screw THIS spinoff up like he did the rest. There's a reason ppl like him don't have any friends and their families can't stand them.

Jadis presents a whole new problem. There’s probably no turning her over to their side without Gabriel. Hopefully, Rick explained to her, who Michonne is. And that she can escape now. Because thorn is already suspicious. I’m not going to lie guys. This episode. Damn near brought me to tears.. it feels like I’ve been on this journey with Michonne. This whole time. I definitely feel like you should let, thorn in on the plan. I don’t think she will betray you. Not if you tell her. She killed Okafor.thorn, already suspicious. I think you should let her know. She wants to escape, right. Ask her that first. just telling her it’s a bad idea. She might be the reason Jadis is after them. I think you should probably go ahead and let Rick know now. I get it, but what if you both don’t make it. He should know he has a son. It will just make him even stronger.
Jadis is just bad news. As seen in The World Beyond, she's gone completely over to the Dark Side of the Force. She was involved in the destruction of Omaha and the Campus Colony and the attempted destruction of Portland with the Chlorine Gas.
I think Thorne for sure will suspect that michonne or rather Dana is lying about who she really is

No. She was sent out to get people for the crm.
Jadis really was just the leader of that group, but she had a trade deal with the CRM too. After Simon killed her people and Jadis didn't feel like she belonged with the communities anymore, she went to the CRM for a new life. As revealed in The World Beyond Series Finale, Jadis traded Rick for that new life and after she "saw what this world could become," Jadis signed up herself.

From how Danai, Andy, & Scott are talking about the series I think they both are going to live. The benefit to this series is Andy & Danai are involved from start to finish as showrunners. Danai is the reason we got the reunion episode 1 as AMC wanted to wait until like 4-5. I don't see them screwing fans over that royally & it helps that both Danai & Andy are so connected to the characters.
I was feeling weird about Michonne making it home 😢 but I don't think they'd screw us like that...well at least I hope not!🤷🏿♀️🤦🏿♀️

How was it watching it backwards? I actually feel like you could watch it either way and it would still flow well
Nat convinced Michonne to go back home to her kids. Just as she gave up hope she was reconnected with Rick just like when Rick finally accepted Okafor's plans for him Michonne was put back in his life. Not to mention both Nat & Okafor unknowingly bring them back together & it costs them their lives. Both also leave Rick & Michonne with important reminders that I expect to play out over the rest of the season.
Rick's training kicked into high gear after getting his kiss & made sure Judith was alive😂 He gave Michonne the important info she'd need to make it in AND killed the soldier that killed Nat with her sword b/c he knew the CRM would be trying to confirm their stories. I love how seeing Michonne again snapped Rick back quick. He was quick to let her know he isn't with them & to tell her they were going to escape.
I'm excited for next week's episode. Michonne doesn't do well being confined & obviously can't hide the fact that she's an A for long. My theory has been Rick & Michonne are basically going to force each other to burn the CRM down simply b/c they refuse to be separated again & I'm here for it.

Imagine if nat and eugene meet and with the resources of common wealth , they can mass produce screamsticks and creat more advance weapons to fight and protect themselves from crm.

I havent reach later season right now I’m watching the war against Negan vs Rick and I know how it ends but my question is did Michone ever fought the whisperer? Or did she ever encounter one of the variants?
Yeah she was there for most of the Whisperer War

I absolutely love Nat’s story and what it means as a whole. Nat burned things then his stepdad Danger made him realize that he can build things. The world ended so Nat started building and burning things. He learned to realize when it’s time to go. The Atlanta camp was abandoned. The farm was burned. The prison was destroyed. Terminus was cannibalism. Alexandria was weak. Hilltop, Kingdom and Sanctuary all fell because of war. The corrupt Commonwealth was bombed. Now Michonne is looking at the most powerful military on the planet, flicking Danger’s engraved lighter as Nat would, setting up the next retribution. The plot continues. Valuable lovable people die.

They are literally wailing!! lol I'm glad your subscribers are helping you understand the episode lol they both gave up. around the same time too, then they found each other. from an astrological perspective they are twins, having similar experiences. Nat was Michonne's Okofore...cant wait to tomorrow's episode.

I don’t want to say this because it’s SPOILERS but waaaaay before the show even started there were leaks of the actor of Rick and Jadis speaking outside not indoors but outside meaning either episode 3 or 4 Jadis will appear again and Rick and Jadis will be arguing Rick pissed and Jadis being Jadis
I wouldn't be suprised if Jadis is in the rest of the season. Rick & Michonne aren't giing to be able to leave easily & Jadis knows Rick & Michonne don't play about each other or their kids.

Hopefully we are all caught up on recaps and the main plot can progress. 2nd episode was a huge step down from the first.
They should make animated movies like invincible
They probably will reboot the series as a cartoon after the crm arc is over, I hope they keep Shane around longer
@@jamainwilkins5100 compared to the comics, they already kept Shane around for way longer in the show. He only lasted a single volume in the comics, but died in S2 in the show.
I heard reports that Robert kirkman wants to do that. So maybe in the future it'll happen.

I honestly don’t know how Rick over looked the fact that there’s one single person in the CRM (the person who saved his life) that knows him and michonne know eachother. I guess it must have been a lot to take in at the moment but still. I personally think this is gonna be another padre situation, Rick and michonne are either gonna burn it all down or take it
It was in the rush of everything & as you see Jadis went to him first. They have a deal given he can blow her spot up b/c she lied about him being a B to get in. I see them buring everything down, Michonne is already plotting, she'll give Rick some time, but he'll have to get with the program sooner or later b/c she saw & lived through what the CRM are doing, she isn't leaving that place standing to threaten other communities.
Rick didn't want to risk it or them finding out about Alexandria. The CRM might send them a special delivery of gas if they found out. I think that they already know about the Commonwealth though. Rick only backed out of the plan because he's afraid of risking losing Michonne again.
