Welcome to the Heavy Spoilers show I'm your host Paul and this video we're breaking down The Walking Dead.

The Ones Who Live Episode 3's out and things are heating up with the CRM. We're now officially half way through the season and it's been nice watching Rick and Michonne falling for each other. Ey...falling.
Anyway we're gonna get into it and continue our breakdowns of the series every week. Please hit the thumbs up if you've been enjoying them and make sure you subscribe to never miss a video. With that out the way thank you for clicking this, now let's get into The Ones Who Live.

So the episode begins years ago on the Streets Of Phillideplhia like a springsteen classic. Panning along at feet we see the shoes of Rick Grimes which are tattered, bruised and battered. This is a far cry from his military uniform and it shows how much his position changes. There he's given a new hand to hit the thumbs up whereas here they're second class citizens. Entering the city he looks up at the windmills which are used to bring power to Philly.
They later on pop up at the 45 minute mark and we can see them in the birdseye shot as we look over Cascadia.
These obviously wouldnt normally just be put up in the middle of a city so it shows the resources that the Civil Republic have. They can quite easily build something like this up highligting that they're incredibly resourceful.
Ricks completely blown away by it and shoutouts our editor Matt for pointing out how it echoes Neagan when he was first taken to the commonwealth.

Exactly what I thought, then I thought further and remembered it was Dale who stopped him from shooting rick... Dale later died in the same season, so maybe it's hinting that Rick's going to die for real this time.

I have a legit physical reaction watching every episode! That opening music, the dark music when something bad is coming… I get chills! As a true TWD fan from beginning to end, I’m loving this show!

Thorne was pulling a Shane, but for different reasons. Like Shane she's a B masquerading as an A & when faced with an actual A she starts trying to gain back the control. Thorne lost her love & leader now she's worried about losing her friend & power.
Michonne has let Rick throw his tanturms & now she's going to get their head right. She also had to remind him that she's the crazier one of the two😂 they were over water. This is Michonne believing a little longer.
Episode 4 is about them getting back on the same page. It is going to be very emotional & cathartic before we see Rick & Michonne back in action.
Jadis: "I'll kill your entire family"
Rick:"with that shitty haircut?"
"No with the poison gas that we've killed over a hundred thousand people with."
Not gonna lie, Rick made me so mad in this episode. His hesitation, and Thorne and Jadis´s hold and possessiveness of him is triggering. Those two better walk on eggshells with Michonne. I know there’s more to learn about the CRM from what Thorne told Rick, but he knows what He and Michonne are capable of together.

I’d hope that was the point, to make you mad. It’s always good when a show makes you feel something but surely he will win in the end. Not sure what he will will have to lose to get there, besides his hand obviously.
He has a plan.
Why the hell would he want to leave ? He is moving up in the chain of command. About to know the secrets that CRM have been hiding. It’s no longer about some stupid emotional reunions with Family, if you are following the story there’s a much bigger picture at play here and Rick knows it. Escaping is no longer an Option.
That stupid move Michonne did at the end could make all those 1-2 years of hard work Rick made to get promoted useless.
Next week going to be an interesting episode i want to see how Rick will manage to go back to the CRM and still gets his promotion without any consequences.

Thorne will be her own demise, she wants to portray strenghth and power, but the way she is in constant stress and weekness in front of Rick when they are alone says a lot, and how she drinks the whiskey most likely drunk every night when alone..she is weak.

I was thinking that too! On top of that, they CANNOT ALL BE BRAVOS... not and be TRULY in charge of anything. That 'lack' of Leadership characteristics DESTROYS from within, eventually.
And also at the end of TWB they mentioned there was a resistance forming within and I don’t think they would have known/talking about Okafor, Thorne and Rick, I hope they bring the people from Portland who they went to find into this.

This was an awesome episode!! I was screaming when R & M were pushing the bomb thing. The two of them together CAN do anything. Seeing the Spring Garden stop brought back memories. I grew up in the Philly area. Before I left Philly, it was looking like the walking dead with all the drug addicts.

After episode 1 I threw out a theory based on the "summit" meeting that's supposed to happen at the new base they built. The title for this show was Summit during production. All of the high-ranking CRM brass will be there and I think this is where and when everything will pop off in the finale

Every time I hear someone say “We developed a cure” in a zombie show, I think of the barn scene with Shane. Shane unloads a clip of bullets in a zombie’s chest then says “there’s no cure for that”

A couple things i thought were interesting. One, Thorne seemed more bought into the CRM after she hot the scoop, theres something here we dont know yet, i dontt think its just anout power though power plays a role. Two, Thorne mentioned the summit of the top Brass and ithink this summit will play a big role in the finale. Last, Jadis mentioned she had been transferred Neaevtbe west Coast and had a virw of the cascades. If you dont know world beyond this may seem like nothing but the Cascades rum through Oregon and near Portland. These are just little things that I think are going to play a big role in future episodes. Oh, and the way they were gathering supplies stops along the West Coast. I winder if the CRM doesnt care about Philadelphia at all and may destroy it and move the CRM base West, mayve even to Portland.mayve Portland wasnt the target in WB at all , maybe its Philadelphia or both. I just think theres going to be some big twist coming up that will blow our mind at the end of the season byt that may mean season 2

What if Michonne never gets the chance to tell Rick about RJ. What if Michonne had the artist draw RJ? What If the series ends with the death of Michonne and Rick finds the phone or the artist approaches Rick and is like, “Hey, there's the picture of your son Carl. Michonne was able to describe him.” then he looks at his phone and BAM! realizes it's not Carl. Puts it together and realizes they have a son. Then the series ends with him going off to find his son and Judith as well of course.

Cute BUT they’ve done way too many interviews about how they wanted to show an epic love story for the fans. So far, all the writing is giving fans what they want. I hope to GOD she tells him about RJ in the episode she wrote/directed (ep4)

I do think there is way much more to those phones than just the ones that Rick had and then threw away. Yes I do think Michonne will utilize that artist and the phones to show Rick what RJ looks like and perhaps even give him one of Carl and Judith.
12:22 in the show, Michonne had a baby son named André when she lost him. In the comics, though, she has two daughters, one of which (Elodie, the one we see at the Commonwealth) was a teenager when Michonne lost her

Well the CRM still has leaders, “As”, they need people to lead the military. They just don’t want natural leaders who aren’t already aligned with their cause. Jadis was already with their cause for a long time so she isn’t an unpredictable A
Yeah there are a lot of holes in that plot but she says she started out trading with them which also doesn’t make sense but whatever. If you think to much you might as well not watch the show 😂
Ehh 🤔 I dunno if I agree with that. She doesn’t have a leader kind of mentality. She tried, and failed miserably, while living in the dump. I don’t think she has any kind of A in her. She’s nothing like Rick or Michone, or the new girl Rick’s friends with I can’t remember her name yet lol. 😅 They’re all leaders, they have that power behind their eyes. She just seems like a follower that wishes she was more of a leader type.
Rick and Michonne should have just killed the team in the woods and got in a copter and fly away. Get back to Alexandria and get everyone out before CRM comes. Will we see a Commonwealth vs CRM battle? And if you want more of Terry O'Quinn (General Beale), he didn't die in Resident Alien. He's coming back.
I thought that helicopter Rick saw in the original show pilot wasn’t the CRM but at the time was supposed to be the military chopper the governor ended up finding after it crashed

if you look closly when michonee looks out of the helicopter at the end we see the reflection of the red light from the helicopter so they were prob over a lake and will land in said lake

Throughout his story arc in TWD, Rick goes through a roller coaster of being an A to a B depending on how traumatized he is.

Great show, great chemistry between the two mains, one a week is killing me 😂, saved up for 3 and 4 so I could watch a double breakdown after.
Morgan,Daryl,Negan,Maggie,Rick, Michonne ,Carol , and maybe Thorne could do serious damage to the CRM.The should Westworld that meeting of the CRM top branch.
This is the only other TWD review channel I'd watch besides The Thrifty Typewriter.

Their is already a way for the walkers to be dealt with that’s been written, from the comics. Their are so few survivors to become walkers that the massive hordes desiccate and so their are far fewer walkers about and any population center has strict regulations in handling people who die. So seeing a walker becomes a rarity.
6:42 She probably just thinks she's a badass as the consignees wouldn't know about 'A's or 'B's. Okafor had to tell Thorn and Rick about what it means which likely means it's something they learn during the echilon briefing or whatever they call it (They learn this when they get promoted to command like Thorn)
Helluva show so far. Lots of thematic callbacks. Such smart writing.
Ricks such a badass and has come a long ass way. Crazy the way the CRM deal with survivors. Really intrigued with where this is going, but damn how did the CRM not know about other bigger groups like Negans Saviors, Alexandria, Hilltop, The Kingdom, Commonwealth.
The CRM when they realize a "France" still exists though.

He ends up on a ship operated for testing zombies. He causes a ruckus, jumps the ship and makes his way to France where he gets intertwined with the drama between the 6th French Republic and some religious community in Saint Malo.
Jadis is an A Thorne is an A the Military needs As that's how Okafor was able to keep Rick & Thorn in the CRM . A True conclusion would be the core character's of Daryl , Rick , Maggie , Michonne , Morgan Carol & a few others taking down the CRM Military Command and turning the cities into true Republics .
it has been hilarious to me how none of the reviews on this show from anyone i've seen so far have any idea where the show is taking place. you have gotten the closest lol... they are not in Cascadia, they are in The Cascades, as in the Cascade Mountain Range, which runs all through WA and OR. I first assumed they were in Mount Hood, because that's about an hour away from Portland. However, that helicopter shot is definitely not Mt Hood, it is Mount Rainier in WA state, which is about 2.5 hours from Portland.
They make it a bit ambiguous exactly where they are in the Cascades. But other reviewers have thought Cascades meant Yellowstone area, upstate NY, and PA haha.
The gas can zombie first appeared in the commonwealth series when princess started tripping out n the railroad car and tried to escape under the gate.. so I believe that was a sign that these 2 groups will be running into each other
Well we already know that there's a possible connection between the CRM and the Commonwealth, that was heavily hinted at in the original show.
For me its pretty clear that the helicopter drove quite near above water. You cant see any background or surroundings so im pretty sure they will land in water.
Rick’s spirit is gone. It’s like he has reverted back to the time after Negan. I think he is afraid he will lose those he loves if he escapes. Rick does anything for those he loves. Remember the chunk he took out of that guys neck who was going to kill Carl. Rick had always done everything for his kids. I think he loves michonne so much he is terrified CRM will kill her so he is trying his best to get her to leave bc he couldn’t escape for 6 years and Jadis threat has him thinking hard. I do think michonne will get to Rick for him to fight is the only way to be free and I do think next episode michonne tells Rick about his son. That might be what really clicks in his head that the only way he may ever see his son and daughter again is to escape. The odds are against them that they both make it out alive. I do know in the comics Rick dies. He should have been dead long time ago If it followed the comics. I pray Rick stays alive. I have watched him since episode one. He is my fav. I waited 6 years for this return . I would love to see his escape with michonne and him seeing his kids and Morgan and Daryl and Carol and some of the others. That would be epic. I feel like Rick is going to make it through all of this.
I was really looking forward to dixon and i did not like it at all! I love the walking dead and it is still one of my favs! When this one came out i was too nervous to watch it not wanting to be let down again. But, it was great! It has some of the feeling of the og! It's not perfect, but it is!
I agree, and I didn't like having to read so many subtitles, it just took away focus, and just seemed to make it drag on.....

@@ashley.taylor174 its a great movie originally was supposed to be directed by the guy who did total recall and was going to be a sequel to it but things changed. And it's definitely more horrifying to watch now with how our government is behaving. But still fun to watch.
I truly think on the Darrell Dixon show the Carol conversation was a pre-record because Carol was already on her way to look for him and in the conversation how she was responding
She went searching after he promised to come home in a week and then never showed up. Carol knew where to start looking BECAUSE OF that conversation

I think that once Rick snaps back into more of his old self, he and Michonne will plot and use the CRM beacon button as bait. I hope.
Rewatching the episodes, I’m pretty sure this series is about Machone letting go of Rick and letting do what he has to do for the CRM. You can definitely see the writers making efforts to have the audience invested in what is to come for Rick and the CRM. At this point Machone is in the way, i think they Rick go back to Alexandra to see his family. But he will go back with CRM. “Some one told me I have to know when to go…” cryptic words. Maybe this is Machone’s last series, maybe Rick kills Machone in the finale.
This episode gave me so much anxiety! Whenever I see a hit of a different timeline I’m flipping out!
