    I hope they bring back Nova Fleet, the idea of a bunch of rouge ships from various galactic powers coming to gather in interesting concept that can create trouble for Federation and other states has lots of story potential. Also, I did not make the connection that the same guy who played Nick Locarno also played Tom Paris, Lower Decks brings up a lot of forgotten lore not even I did not know about or forgot, and dose in a ironic and humorous way!

      Really, deep down, she is the best in Starfleet. Just her time during the war, and her seeing the dirty truths of Starfleet. She hates being in Starfleet, but loves being in Starfleet. The only reason she goofs off and acts so unprofessionally. She knows the rules inside and out. Thus, knows which rules she can bend and get around. All by not breaking the rules outright. Mostly.

    • @samsignorelli
      @samsignorelli Před 4 měsíci +2

      @@Qardo All excellent points, and I totally agree with you....quite the change from the fight with Ma'ah when I truly believe she was looking for "suicide by Klingon." Look at her face when she yells "Fight me, you coward!"
      First off....calling a Klingon a coward, not good.
      Second...her face was the most unhinged we've seen during a fight.
      Her inner pain was so great, she'd reached her limit....and it was only telling Ma'ah about Sito and what her death did to Mariner that got her out of it. EVERYTHING about Mariner in the series lead up to that singular moment.
      I also found it significant that she introduced herself to Ma'ah byher FIRST name.

    When Mariner first gets in the steamrunner class she calls it an “old ship” even though that ship is front the 2370’s and the show is set in the 2380’s. It’s a relatively young ship class compared to most in the fleet, specifically compared to the Excelsior and Miranda class.

      Starfleet has a trend of making a ship operable with as little crew as possible. Of course, more crew is better, but starfleet has made a priority that in cases of emergency, a ship should be operable, capable of flying and defending itself, by as few as one person. The automation only gets better and more efficient, with the Prometheus Class being the latest development (in canon) that we've seen, with only 2 EMHs able to order it into an attack pattern.

      It sounds more like the guy was just making up something. I think it is common in Ferengi society to say something is a 285+ Rule of Acquisition if you want to emphasize something.

    Is it just me, or is this clip like the 2000 cartoon movie "Titan AD"? Spoiler: They had to fight off an enemy thru an ice-asteroid field and end up terra-forming it.

    > Rule of Acquisition 91: "Your boss is only worth what he pays you."
    Is anyone else a little surprised by this rule? As self-serving for profit as it is, it seems remarkably pro-labor.

      Logically, the Rules of Acquisition apply to both the boss and his employees. (The boss frequently forgets this.)
      From the first Nagus’ perspective, why sell only to the top of the org chart? That’s giving up market share.

      Sabrerunner-class, not Cali-Class. And it's a relatively small ship, only a few times bigger than a shuttlecraft by the looks of things.
