This scene, although great has one problem. Mariner uses "Sito" as the name for her friend when she should be using "Jaxa", if she knew her personally as she claimed to. Bajoran first names and last names are reversed. It bothers me somewhat because if the writers knew this, they did it on purpose to hint to the audience it was Sito or it was a genuine mistake that kinda ruins the emotional impact of the scene.

I love how the romulan warbird is vertical instead of the usual horizontal. If i'm remembering correctly that was the original concept design for that particular romulan ship when they were reintroduced into Star Trek The Next Generation but was changed to be horizontal instead int he actual episode.

It's almost as if someone said "this series shares its name with one of the most emotionally devastating episodes of TNG, maybe we should wrap up some of that trauma and give us a little closure".

While I often agree with critics who complain that modern Trek relies too heavily on "hey, remember this thing or person from past Trek? Let's wring as much story out of this as we can!", but I'm honestly grateful for this devastating perspective on the aftermath of Sito's death.
