      Mechanic by necessity, some times we have to be jacks of all trades. The best part was that I had an opportunity to spend some time with my son and passed on what little mechanical knowledge I have. I received the prize in the mail yesterday. Thanks for watching and commenting, Shane.

    This is a great video. There is very little difference to the 1994 intruder. All I have had to do with my bike has been identical. 880 cc, no difference. Lovely video. Thankyou So Much!

    At 7:39, your not kidding, I have an Intruder vs1400 and that dam air housing that connects the rear air box to the rear carb is a huge pain in the ass to get it seated properly,,,,,What I have learned with bikes is to take your time, inspect everything and be meticulus with putting it all back together, the more you work on it and take it apart the faster and easier it gets, they do not make the Intruder easy to work on,,,,Intruder is great bike ,love your drag bars,,,Did you do anything else to this bike like rejet or sync the carbs? Thank you for the video

    I have a 86 intruder. This video was very helpful. Thank you. I just did the carbs. But seeking help on a different problem. I got the lingdu motorcycle front and rear turn signal indicator bullet blinker/ indicators. I got them on my bobber but they don’t blink just stay on. If you can help anything will help. Maybe it’s the relay and if so please recommend me the right part. Thank you

      Thanks for watching Louie. My first guess would also be the relay, look for cylindrical or square stand alone relay approximately 1 inch in diameter it may say flasher on it. or check out www.jpcycles.com or
      www.suzukipartshouse.com . Best of luck 🏍💯😎👍

    Hi need a bit of advice,when I bought My Suzuki Intruder 1988 vs750 Someone for some reason removed the Choke Cable assembly and never put it back again ? I've managed to get another Choke Cable Assembly, my question is,do you have to remove the Carbs to fit the the Choke Cable back into the Carbs or can you fit the Choke Cable back in position on the Bike after Removing the Fuel Tank, Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated,
    Great Video series on Carburetors Well done
    Thank You

      No, You don't need to remove carburetors. What you need is to remove fuel tank only

      Saludos.

    So I did this exact thing to an old vs 1400 that was sat in my dads garage for about 10 years. Before removing the carbs it spilled out loads of gas, so we expected some clogged jets, found them, cleaned them, and reinstalled the carbs.
    Now the motor won’t start and I can’t figure out why. I haven’t filled the tank all the way up since I didn’t want to empty it again if I had a new leak, but shouldn’t it run still?
    Might there be some vacuum issues I’m not seing? All fuel-lines are attached accordingly.

    • @orelygarcia
      @orelygarcia  Před 3 lety +1

      Pull the plugs and see if you have spark, if no spark check your plugs cables and coils individually. If you have spark, then it's a fuel issue. spray some starter fluid into the cylinder and or air inlet then try to start it. If it sound like it wants to start then its a carb or fuel issue. If your carburator has adjustable jets, you may have closed them all the way by accident just back them out 3 to 3.5 turns. I don't know if that is spec but as a general rule it works. If it does not have adjustable jets, check the bowl drain plug to see if fuel is getting to the bowl. Also check the fuel filter on the petcock at the fuel tank for clogged strainer. Some bikes have a fuel pump that may be the problem. I bypassed my fuel pump when it went bad and the gravity feed was enough to run the engen but lost top end fuel pressure. After you try those things if still not running then check for a stuck valve by checking the compression or you might want to do that first. let me know the results/symptoms, if still not running and ill try to to brain storm with you.

      @@orelygarcia Thanks a bunch! Went over it again, methodically to the t, and realized the fuel-lines from the tank where on backwards (or, switched up..). Fixed it up, and the bike started up after a few tries. It seems to run sub-optimally on the lower end of reving, but it wakes up when you go up to about 50 mph (80 kmh and above)
      I’m going to change the spark-plugs anyways, and I might order up new parts for the front carb, as I suspect that’s where the problems at.
      Anyways, thank you for a thurough rundown of what to look out for!

    I was able to install and motorcycle starts but one exhaust pipe emits white smoke. Not sure what to do next

    • @orelygarcia
      @orelygarcia  Před 5 lety +1

      White smoke is burning oil. May need piston oil rings or valve seals. But first try running some marvel mistery oil in the fuel, if the valve seals are hard it may soften them and remedy the problem. Good luck.

    Late to video but does the fuel pump run while bikes running? And I have a wiring issue the start button won't turn the engine over

    • @orelygarcia
      @orelygarcia  Před 4 lety +2

      In general mechanical pumps start working once the engine is turning and electrical pumps start once the ignition is switched to on. This bike has electric fuel assembly module #15100-38A00 . Thanks for watching and subscribe I have plans to do a complete tear down and rebuild of this bike some time next year. I will be posting the videos.
