Any Chance you would ever do a video on swapping an engine in this bike, or any bike as far as that goes. Nice video. Very down to earth, done like most diy mechanics can understand. Thank you

I love seeing the magnets on the screw driver, I've used that approach on wrenches as well to keep things together in hard to reach areas. Sometimes it seems a bit like Suzuki engineers hate mechanics though :)

I believe the last time I did this I removed 44 different parts before cleaning and putting my 1996 rear carb back together. Not really sure how you can call this a rebuild. But a good job.

You are correct, it is not a complete rebuild. We did not dip in acid and all that since the carbs did not look terribly bad. Just wanted to change out the key kit components to get it running again. This is a daily driver that sits out in the weather. One year later and she still starts and runs like new. However we did start using recreational fuel only, to protect the carburetors from ethanol. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I have an 86 700 Intruder and I done had to put a motor on the bike due to gas get in the engine and blowing the motor up and now I have another motor I put it on and I'm still getting gas into the motor but the gas is leaking also out of the left pipe could my rear carburetor maybe need a rebuild and one more thing it doesn't have a breather on the rear carburetor but the front when does and I have to take a piece of Gaston and cut a 2-inch piece off and stick between my choked so the bike runs

I would start by checking the carburator float, it may be stuck in the open position. Thus flooding the cylinder. if there is no spark to burn of the fuel it may hydro lock. If fuel is going in the crank case or out your exhaust, check the compression it may be you have bad compression rings or valves. Good luck and thanks for watching, hop it is of some help.

I am having trouble getting the throttle cable apart where it becomes two. I do not have the cable disconnected from the throttle. Do you think it needs to be removed from the throttle to come apart?

U made mistake. According to repair manual, both carburetors should be removed simultaneously after you disconnect choke and fuel hoses. The synchronizing cable is not to be removed ! and the throttle cable is to be disconnected only. That is why you destroyed the choke cable cap
