I love 1000 ps channel and their reviews even better with the English language translation. Let’s hope we get some more of them. The Versys is a great bike for the price! Regarding the quick shifter. It really works at over 3000 rpm and actually gets better and frees out more with use. I have done 10000 kms of very happy riding on my 2023 Versys 1000 s. Definitely worth a test ride if you are looking for a good value tourer that handles surprisingly well for its size and that has that lovely inline 4 engine. Schaff is a great bike reviewer keep up the good work.

    Read the manual , quick-shift section 😉

Owners manual states rpm's need to be over 2500 for the quick shifter.. the higher the smother it seems to work. Never had an issue with the cruise, other than it does fluctuate a few mph, but not much different than my car.

Well said. Why do these reviewers never look at the instruction manual for the bikes they are testing? Quickshifters came from racing, and are designed to permit clutch-less changes at speed when accelerating or braking. So the Versys 1000 manual specifically states that the QS works best above 2500 rpm when accelerating, or on a closed throttle when decelerating. It’s completely pointless to try using it in town traffic. I use mine all the time out of town, it’s great on twisties.
Moral of the story is to listen to real owners, not these reviewers who’ve been flown in to enjoy the hospitality and the free test ride!

Solid all around bike. Had mine for 2 years with 12,000 miles so far. Only thing I would change is to move to a shaft drive.

Any problems with the quick shifter? Cheers

@@bretthartin5877 no sir as long as you keep the RPMs up. I also noticed that since I adjusted it for my new boots it works even better. By adjusting, I mean I brought it up as high as it would go. It’s not the buttery smooth but it works.

Versys looks very nice from the front. But when you look at it from the side it looks very bad. The gratings are too messy and tiring on the eyes. They do not complement each other. It seems like there is a missing piece in the puzzle. or pieces that are sloppy in shape
