- Join me on day one of my trip to explore one of the world's best motorbike roads, I'm riding the north coast 500/ NC500. Experience the high and lows of my motorbike adventure.
World's best motorbike roads, that's right I think the NC500 is one of the world's best driving roads. Scotland's NC500 has been voted in the top 10 best roads on the world! We start off riding from Manchester to Scotland (Fort William) next to highest mountain in the united kingdom, Ben Nevis.
Watch as we ride through all sorts of weather and environment's, on day two we visit the royal marine commando war memorial from world war 2. We also visit Loch Ness and Loch Lochy.

❤ wasn't forecast to rain today.... But it is Scotland 👏 🏴
ا
A strange and wondrous world... Here I am sitting on a chair in a high temperature of forty degrees Celsius in Riyadh - Saudi Arabia, watching someone go from Manchester to Scotland in the rain and relatively cold weather... and this Internet may bring together people from everywhere in the world of all walks of life. To see one thing...
I enjoyed watching this video... I hope you have a safe and enjoyable trip💐🛵
A view all the way from SA, thanks for watching and commenting :)
Really enjoyed that video. Best of luck with the channel. Subscribed and looking forward to seeing more.
Amazing Joe, what a journey. It’s not Scotland without a bit of rain 😅
Thanks Adam 🙌
I love this episode! My favourite one yet. The views look incredible 😍
Another classic adventure 😍 keep them coming 👍
More to come! 🙌
Great Vlog, Stunning scenery..love the stop offs!!🙂
Thanks John.
Not sure if you'll see this Joe however it's possible that your lower back pain is from a Taurine deficiency. Happens to a lot of lifters and a combination of supplementing with a couple of grams of Taurine spread throughout the day along with a foam roller to loosen up the lower back muscles can make the world of a difference.
Been watching out for more of you posts! So glad it was the NC500! Looks amazing! Need to get up there! To easy to keep doing the Lakes and Wales! Even though they are stunning too! Nice touch respecting the war dead 🙏🙏look forward to the next episodes 👍👍
Thanks Colin 👍🏻
I really enjoyed this video. Scotland is amazing. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you 🙏🏼
Hi Joe, found your channel this morning, enjoyed the NC 500 video & ended up binging the Corfu episodes , really enjoyed your chilled approach 😊
Look forward to the remaining NC trip which we did slowly over 17 days in 2021 , it's and I can’t wait to return but in the meantime will soak up your experience 😀
Really appreciate the kind words, thanks for watching and I really enjoyed filming the Corfu videos. It’s nice to hear you have enjoyed them, it was something a little different.
Nice Video, Beautiful roads. Keep the good work going on please 🙂
Thanks ✌️
Great vid.ill be looking forward to the next episode..I’m off up there tomorrow and the weather looks ok for the first few days then it’s downhill a bit.probably end up getting as wet as you at some point but all adds to the adventure..great stuff
Good luck mate! I’ll have my fingers crossed for good weather 🙌
snow forecast now!!
Great vlog mate. Thinking of getting into it myself. Subbed 👍
You should!
Nice. Enjoyed , I've rode the same route , fantastic take on these amazing roads. Subbed . BB Glasgow . ,👍
Thanks for the sub!
Great vid. I did it last year and doing it again solo motorcycle I can’t wait.
Have fun! Solo is just as fun 🙌
Great video mate,
i've done the NC500 as well last year but clockwise,
Maybe will do it again the other way around 😅
Looking forward to part 2 🤗
Thank you! Absolutely, I didn’t really enjoy the east coast as there wasn’t a huge amount to see. If I did it again I would spend more time in the west and drive back through the centre.
@@freedom-machines East coast is a fast ride down but there are plenty to see,
Anyways I highly recommend you to get yourself a Coolcover for your seat 👍
Well worth it 👍
Ride safe!
Very good and interesting video 😊😊
Thank you! 😃
We did the NC500, east coast first few weeks back in our campervan, we went up through the Cairngorms, l cycled the Great Glen way in 2018, stopping and starting at Fort William, it's stunning Scotland, particularly up in the highlands, that north coast however is a different level again I'd say, coastal obviously, enjoy the journey.... 👌🏻❤️🏴
Very cool! 👌🏻 thanks for watching 🙌
Brilliant vlog stunning scenery and a great ride even though it rained you still made it very interesting can't wait for more.
Best wishes Geoff and Samuel 😊
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks guys
At last been wondering how long it would be before you started posting again and it was worth the wait .The scenery was spectacular cant wait to see more and would have liked a longer video just to kick things off but i am so looking forward to more of these keep them coming great job
Glad you enjoyed it, it’s been a little while. Really glad you enjoyed it. 2/3 more episodes to come 👍🏻
Great vid, I wouldn’t say it’s even Scotlands best route never mind the world.
what would you say is? Im going up to Scotland on the motorbike in July
Subbed, just done a week up there, fantastic roads and scenery.
Thanks for the sub! 🙌
best of luck and safe travels...
Thank you
What a Brill Video looking to head up there this year not doing the hole of NC500 but a good bit keep on riding
You should! I loved it!
So wish you were camping for the full adventure experience.
You’re right! I need to buy all the camping gear first. I definitely want to camp ⛺️
As I wenn through the buying process recently : Don’t buy motorcycle specific gear, buy ultralight backpacking camping gear and thank me later.
@@kaspersergej thanks for the tip! recently been to Scotland and hotels are a rip off, camping next time.
A beautiful country with stunning scenery and the NC500. It's my plan to do the same in 2025....
Good for it! You won’t regret it
I've just got back yesterday, lots of rain first and second day so views weren't great, loved it
Nice one! 🙌
Enjoyed Ep1 and will follow the series but Ive been on a motor cycle for 50 years and still don't get why riders with great gear (Roker drop liner jackets etc) let the rain soak everything! A Scott rain and pants combo (£160) is the best weather protection I have ever had. Try watching Bath rugby from the open stand in Oct to realise the value of proper waterproof clothing!! I put mine on when it rains and everything below it is 100% dry. Great tour though!!
Hi Gary, yes I bought a 2 piece Oxford waterproof set for the trip. I had to use the jacket a few times but not the trousers.
Nice one Mate. I'm in Rochdale and, have done the NC 500 four times over a few years. Much the same as you, Fort Bill is my preferred 1st nights stop. As for the weather, last September I got all kitted up for the typical Scottish weather, and boy did I get it wrong! 😞. It hit 20c one day, I nearly melted lol. I'm looking forward to the next instalment 👍🏍.
Haha beats rain any day though! I was lucky after day 1. Episode 2 will drop soon 👍🏻 thanks for watching
I've booked it for September. I'm hoping the weather is going to be kind to me! 🤞
You need to use camp sites and save some money ! When we was up there it was 10-19 quid a night for camping with showers, drying rooms and free WiFi on alot of the camp sites . Great vid dude 👌
Next time! I need to buy all the gear first 🙌
@@freedom-machines I'll show you the way my young palawan
You back issue. Have you ever considered acupuncture. It helped me considerably....
Great video. Thanks for sharing.
I’m going to give it a go soon but I had disc surgery 2/3 years ago. I’ve had issues ever since.
Are those panniers fitted to a luggage rack or are they just slung over the seat? The bike looks amazing as well!
Love Scotland and enjoyed this. Can I ask what mount you're using on the top box for cameras?
Thanks Mark, insta 360 on a pole. The motorbike kit comes with a grab mount 👍🏻
Cheers From India
Thank you 🙏🏼
It’s a great route, I’ve done it. Worlds best? Not sure about that, check out the Patagonia run to Ushuaia and back up to Bariloche.
Shhh SEO 👀 haha I bet I’ve seen a few people ride that stretch
In case it is any comfort: just spent the last two weeks riding around the Picos and the Pyrenees and got torrential drenching after torrential drenching!
Rain aside, that sounds like a great adventure
If it isn't raining in Scotland just give it ten minutes 😂
So true haha
Great video, how much time have you allowed for the trip?
5 days for the trip 👍🏻
@@freedom-machines not hanging around then, looking forward to the next video, let us know the rough spend on fuel and accommodation when you're done, ride safe.
Sorry 29c!
is that bag wateproof?
It is indeed 👍🏻
@@freedom-machines damn!!! Love it. Looks amazing with your bike
Barely drizzle ;-)
😉
Really enjoyed that video. Best of luck with the channel. Subscribed and looking forward to seeing more.
Awesome, thank you!
