I live next door to the monster who murdered my fiance... They got away with it. I don't care to explain because it's so painful, but they were 100% in the wrong and it was premeditated. I struggle with this exact situation daily. I had our son 1 month after he was killed. The justice system completely failed us. I struggle daily living next door to this person, I rarely leave my home or take my kids out. If I could financially move I would but my family caused what happened and I no longer have support or help due to me cutting them out of my life.

I’ve actually experienced this. I witnessed my mother's murder. I knew Aba personally and remember he donated 100$ towards my mom's funeral. My experience was a murder-suicide. I didn’t have an opportunity to hold that resentment, but I also made a conscious effort to not harbor any hate towards that man. It was wasted energy. I was left with 3 younger siblings. The paramedics told me when they found her killer, he had a gunshot wound to the head and they would let him die a slow and painful death. I can’t say that brought me any comfort, but I’m glad his last moments sucked. It’s been 7 1/2 years since it happened. I became homeless. I lost my siblings. I had to move states. But I’m doing better than ever. I have a great job. I live in a house. I live with my partner. My siblings are well.
Life is hard and shit like this really becomes your whole personality. Therapy and community helped a lot. I understand why that man in the video did what he did in killing his mothers murderer, and I would have too given the opportunity. But hindsight is 20/20. I could have never imagined the life I live now, and I love it. ❤️
Edit: There's a couple idiots in the comments playing sherlock holmes, saying I made this up because no paramedic would ever do what he said he did. Even in the moment I knew what he was saying was wrong. I'm just sharing what I experienced. Consider this, he may have been lying to me to console me in his own way. But also, do you believe cops or judges are unable to be corrupt because it's against the rules? I wish I had the worldview of some of you, to always assume that because it's against the rules, it could never happen. I have absolutely no reason to be dishonest about this. Internet points don't feed my siblings and I.

Experiencing the loss of your mother due to murder is already a devastating situation. However, witnessing her murder is something that is beyond one's imagination. It is difficult to fathom how you managed to overcome this trauma and achieve success in your life. I am so terribly sorry for yours and your siblings loss.
It is not unexpected for Aba to make a donation towards the funeral expenses of your mother. Both Aba and Preach appear to be kind-hearted individuals, and it is apparent that they inherited this trait from their mother’s❤❣️

My mother was victim of an attempted murder. After being shot she played dead and thus survived. This was over 40 yeara ago, and while the man was a suspect in multiple other murders, forensics was unable to obtain evidence. His ex-wife even told my mother's family that she knows he killed others, and to move state if he ever got released from prison.
Last decade, he was released on parole, in his late 70s. Less than two years later he parked hia jeep on train tracks and let it remove him from life.
The feelings I have towards him sway so much over the years. A kind of pity is always involved.

It was so profound to me because shortly after my mother passed, I received this big award at work. When I found out I went to my desk and I took my phone out to call my mom. But I couldn’t. It was still such a natural reaction to me because I wasn’t used to her being gone. Sure I could have called my dad, but it’s just different. Most times the victim's family would want money and jail time, but if the family wanted to forgo that and wanted the death penalty for the criminal instead of the money, that was always an option. The government only started stepping in because of some families of criminals not accepting this justice and engaging in tit-for-tat blood feuds. But today, criminals are being let out altogether, so now I think justice belongs to the victim and family again.

Yeah, he had to be going THRU it. Just the 24 hours after a ~NON~ violent death can be an out of body experience. A violent death and an actual direction for your loss and rage? The body is moving, something primal gets the the driver's seat and the rational part of the brain goes for a walk elsewhere to mourn. I hope they lessen the sentence, even though if I'm honest on a basic level, the guy shouldn't do time. I know we can't go eye for an eye in everything, but temporary insanity seems like a fair plea to give.

Shoutout to Aba and Preach's mothers for participating! My mother was murdered a few years ago, I wanted nothing more than revenge. The man who did it died on the scene after killing my mom. For a long time, I thought about how that made me feel. To be completely honest with you, as they alluded to, I feel a great deal better knowing that I don't have to live in the same world as the man who murdered my mother. I also accept that those feelings may make me a less than morally right person and I am okay with that. However, I do know that my mother would never had wanted me to take revenge. As a parent myself, if something happened to my father, I would want to take revenge myself but I know that, as a parent, you want your children to do and have better. So I accepted that I would have to deal with not being able to get my own revenge and moved on. But I do totally understand how that kind of trauma would make a person do something like that. Just my thoughts on the matter.

I was told around 15 years old that one committed suicide in prison, and the other one got off on time served. Fast forward I’m 41 now and I don’t know what got into me but I revisited my mom’s case. I found out where one of them lives and found out the other NEVER killed himself and lives 6 hours away from me. An overwhelming rage built up inside me and all of a sudden I wanted their families to fell the pain I felt all those years ago. This was such a deep video. I'm glad we got to her from the two wise moms who've passed on their wisdom to their sons- thanks for including it. As a Christian, I know my mom would say the same because we know that Revenge is the Lord's. But I've always told my mom that if she passes away before me, I'm hopping into her grave next to her. It's a thought that, while highly likely, is still more painful than I can bear.
I'm a Christian but even I've had thoughts of doing grievous bodily harm to those who hurt my mom. So I understand the feeling.

And I would agree with you that it originates from hammurabi's code but my point being that christianity, the religion that is supposed to be of peace of mind/forgiveness/tranquility, had an incredibly wretched, revenge filled, flawed moral system in the old testament which, in a way, goes against what the original poster was saying about "revenge being for the lord".

I understand entirely the grief-stricken heartbreak you are enduring right now, Hatim. I too lost my father unexpectedly when I was about your age - and my heart goes out to you more than I can explain. The first six months after going through such a tremendous and unexpected loss comes with the most harrowing amount of grief. Thats when Enduring that roller coaster of crazy up and down emotions can be down right agonizing to bare through, but if I could offer you any advice, it would be to try your best not to suppress or rush through those stages - they are necessary to go through so that the healing can start to begin. Be patient and kind to yourself - cry when you need to - get angry when you feel mad, and by all means, laugh with your entire soul when it petitions you to do so.
Sadly, I think a lot of us don't fully realize it until the day comes where the one and only man that we have loved, adored and have looked up to every day of our lives - passes on - and for the first time in our lives - we have to figure out how to go on living without him in the world. Slowly but surely, you find a way to put one foot in front of the other - and little by little - you begin to go on and it simply becomes a new way of life.
With love and blessings to you.

Though I do not call it sexism personally, its just our natural predispositions. All the advancements in modern society is what makes these things look unfair or sexist. You only have to think of hunter gatherer society or some hundred years back to understand why men receive harsher punishments or why men are required to protect the women and children of their clan/ethnicity/etc.

I lost my mother when I was 18. We were very close. We had the type of relationship where I could talk to her about absolutely anything. What hurt the most is that her death was incredibly sudden. She was here one minute and then "BAM!" she was gone. She wasn't ill, didn't have a terminal disease, but was gone so quickly. I learned later that that is the way aneurysms are. They strike quickly and without warning. I was so angry for so long, but since she wasn't killed by a person and I don't believe in God, I had no place to direct my anger, so I turned it inward. I internalized it and still, at 40 years of age, I haven't fully recovered. It didn't help that my mother's death was followed by the death of my father and then my sister(the only sibling I was really close to because she saw the real me and never judged me) all within the span of 5 years. I am still troubled and broken by their passing. Birthday's and Mothers Day are almost unbearable. Sometimes I think that things may have been easier if there was someone responsible for my mother's death. Someone I could point to, single out and hold responsible for my pain and agony. Maybe I would've had a better chance of getting over her death if there was someone to blame. Idk. Maybe I'm wrong and it wouldn't matter. Maybe I am just suffering because I didn't process losing my loved ones correctly. Maybe I should've tried therapy or told someone I trust how much everything was eating me up inside. Oh well. That's life, I suppose.
