I've advocated for men to get a vasectomy for literally decades. They've been around since the 70s. My own father had one done when I was 3 yrs old and I was born in '75. There's absolutely NO excuse for any man who knows he doesn't want kids to not get snipped.

I think you guys are the first I've heard actually discuss how difficult plab B is. It's talked about like it's a fix all sweety/candy and so is abortion. I have never had an abortion but I have taken Plan B when condoms broke in my relationship and honestly it messed me up for a solid two weeks and changed my cycle which caused severe anxiety, so it's not something to take lightly and I imagine an abortion is much worse.

As someone who cane from a single parent household I feel for those 7 kids, My mom did an amazing job but its impossible to do everything while working 2 jobs too. Its crazy the statistics for how many people in jail are from single parent household's, or the amount that get addicted to drugs. Thank you for bringing up the trauma an abortion causes. Personally I haven’t had one, but I have had 10 miscarriages (tried for a baby for 7 years) and multiple were missed miscarriages where the body doesn’t recognize that the baby died so it holds on to it and I had to take misoprositol which is what women get for abortions unless they do a DNC (surgery) and it absolutely messes not only with your body but your mental and emotional health also.

It basically tricks the body into thinking it is already pregnant so you do not ovulate and release an egg. All forms of birth control women use is altering their hormones except for diaphragms and female condoms/dental dams. Hormones regulate everything in your body. They can alter brain functions. All that. Men, sometimes, are too relaxed when discussing this. Abortions are likely worst.
I compare it to two people wanting protection from being wet in the rain. One person wears a raincoat. The other person is injecting a drug into themselves that repels water from touching their skin. Which one is the most drastic? Which one has the instances of going wrong the most? Which one can cause irreparable harm? Just wear condoms.

The condom once broke and i accidentally finished inside my ex, neither one of us wanted a kid so i got up first thing in the morning to get some plan B.
I felt so bad that she had to take that shit, cuz it was both of us but shes the one who had to truly deal with the consequences and do sth that was bad for her body.

I had an abortion a few after I turned 18. It was just taking a couple pills and it causes miscarriage. I'm now 34 and I'm still grieving for that baby. I've lost a daughter to SIDS and miscarriage since that 1st baby. I often think it's my karma for having am abortion. I have a 15 yr old son who is absolutely brilliant.. he would've been a great brother. There's a song by Kenny Chesney called "who you'd be today". I can't listen to it without losing my composure.
And that's a blessing that you are still affected by your choice. It makes us know what is truly valuable to us and what we must do to keep it of value to us. You know your womb is valuable and that sacrifice made it even more clear.

I also want to briefly clarify the distinction between a D&C & an abortion. Isn't a D&C a procedure you have AFTER a child in utero has passed due to a miscarriage, not an abortion?

You have to remove the tissue; else it can get infected and cause all sorts of other issues. In an abortion, depending on the date of gestation, you are pretty much doing the same thing, scraping the lining of the uterus to remove the implanted tissue (the placenta and/or the fetus). There are many scientific videos that go in depth and allow you to visualize the procedure.
And your situation is why we can’t blatantly say all abortions are bad. It’s hard and some women who want children in the future sometimes need them so they can try again.

I'm as low income as the avg low income person & my snip was almost completely paid for by insurance & gov. It's perfectly normal to get cold feet the night before + walking into the clinic but it's probably the best decision of my entire life aside from having my one child, which we planned out yrs before we had a divorce. I pay support & have a consistent presence + quality time in my child's life while doing my own thing away from the mom, now. If I can do it, anyone can do it.

I appreciate you going a little more in depth about the effects of abortions. A lot of the messaging in this society paints abortions with the same brush as mole removal. And with such a large percentage of abortions being about “inconvenience” it makes it seem that women ain’t being informed beforehand. I don’t support banning the procedure but I do wish people would be more thoughtful about their actions.
I remember once watching this video from the US of what I vaguely recall was either a protest for an anti-abortion law being drafted or if it was about to be legalized and this one woman was boasting about how many abortions she got (like seven or more) and she was happy to get more done. I thought it was some really dangerous messaging for a woman not experienced with pregnancy to hear.

Did you know in Korea there is a movement called 4 No’s (no to dating, to s3x, no to marriage, no to child bearing and rearing). Also, it is not just a few women who have this policy. Korea has literally the worst birth rate in the world. Japan is only a little above Korea.
The caregiver role (small children, parents, male siblings and the husband and in laws) literally suck the life force of a woman, ages her and decreases her longevity. Many women say that they were married single mothers or that their husbands abandoned the kids they planned and the kids fathers never show up for the kids. But much more serious than that is the problem that now most countries are banning abortion rights. Recently this is an issue in Poland, US and many more. Many women are dy*ing because of septic pregnancy and other medical complications during pregnancy and being denied abortions. There have been several court cases on this issue. It might look like attraction and desire are equal, but the risks, roles and responsibilities are not. Celibacy seems to be the best option for young women. And that is already happening. Sure h*ook up culture is there, but most women get out of that stage once they realise that most men don’t even please them s3xually. I recently read an article that voluntary celibacy is increasing in young women. Having said all that, if you are able to find a good man and have a good life with this decent man, more power to you. But miss me with the whole marriage and motherhood trap where any man can bait and then switch several years later and start simping for a younger woman all the while when he was dependent on me for basic life skills and definitely miss men with the casual h*ook up scene.

I stopped taking birthcontrol after two years of taking it because it just effected my body negatively. Knowing I'm not on birthcontrol, I practice abstinence. And if I ever get intimate with someone, a condom will be needed, and I'm even ready to buy them for him. And if the guy doesn't want to wear one, then too bad I guess we won't be getting it. People really need to be responsible. It's ridiculous.
On the one hand, I can see how wearing a condom can be forgotten in the heat of the moment, even if both of you agreed upon wearing one before any arousal kicked in and one of you was still pushing for wearing one at the last second. On the other, you can have high enough willpower to actually think if you work toward it.

@@toade1583 just because this man happens to be honest about what he does to women and thinks about women doesn't mean that other men don't share the same ideas. I can't know which men think like this so I simply don't trust any men when it comes to my body and I don't think that necessarily means that I hang around "bad men". That seems like a far fetched excuse to brush away women's rightful skepticism of men.
