In the United States (in theory, not necessarily in practice) the only way for rights to be taken from you by the state is through due process. We could easily close that loophole by saying, "You've been found guilty of a crime, therefore you no longer have a right to choose your own gender until your prison sentence has been served. Therefore, the state chooses your gender, and that decision will be based on biological makeup."
For those who don't know or understand the story. its about a guy who raped 2 women, The crimes were committed in Clydebank and Glasgow in 2016 and 2019 while Bryson was known as a man called Adam Graham.
Bryson made the decision to transition from a man to a woman while awaiting trial.
Bryson was initially held at Cornton Vale women's prison in Stirling, but was kept apart from other inmates.
The prisoner was moved to a male wing of HMP Edinburgh two days later, ahead of sentencing in February.

This is happening all over. I work in a correctional facility in Canada. There are several men claiming to be women to get access to female inmates or force female officers to watch them strip on searches. You can't isolate them all in the same area because that's considered discrimination. Keep in Mind a high percentage of real female inmates have had past histories of physical and sexual abuse by men, and now they have to deal with male sexual predators face to face in common areas in jail. This mess will not be cleaned up without another mess taking its place, and in the meantime, it's only women who will suffer.
**Added note.** I work in a remand center. These inmates are charged with crimes, and while they go through the court process, they're held at our facility. So technically, if they haven't ever been found guilty, they aren't criminals as our system sees it.

If you want to put trans women in women's prisons then you have to be willing to put trans men in men's prisons, which everyone would agree is cruel and irresponsible. They would be a nonstop target for sexual violence and would be largely unequipped to fight back. They never want to talk about trans men because every policy that helps trans women hurts trans men.

In the UK only men can be charged with gRAPE and women can only be charged with sexual assault which is a lesser charge with lesser consequences. So there is a legal incentive to identify as a woman after gRAPING a female. The criminal defense lawyers even suggest to identify as a woman to get the lesser charge.
It sounds like the main thing being graped is the criminal justice system.

It's a complex and nuanced issue. Gender Expression is a way people fit in, and is ultimately always a choice. Gender Identity, however, relies on more psychological and biological bases, and doesn't actually matter that much to people on the street. Your biology and gender expression will always take precedence at first glance, and that's why openly trans and nonbinary people usually do the most to make their identity known. Society is all about fitting in, so having to conform still applies to trans people.

But that same logic, on top of being flat out barbaric, is what's used to trivialize the sexual abuse of the incarcerated in the first place, in which case why is transwomen graping ciswomen in prison objectionable? Transwomen being placed in male prisons are the single most vulnerable demographic to sexual violence of all people who're incarcerated, so if we're willing to put them in male prisons regardless because "fuck their rights," why don't we say the same to incarcerated ciswomen?

Both prisons equally say fuck your identity, face your punishment along side criminals with the same biological similarities as each other, that may or may not try to harm/kill. There also have been cases when a criminal has self ID as a woman, served their sentence in a woman's prison and then self ID'd back to a man once released.

The person that got two females pregnant was in a New Jersey female prison. My brother is in prison and told me about this person and how they literally weaponized they’re gender in order to just be annoying and be treated differently and was universally disliked and looked at as weird and annoying prior to being transferred to the female prison or after I forget which one. But that person is 100% using they’re gender in a way that’s disgusting.
Society made it a weapon. Hate the player or hate the game. The best way to fix a leak is by shutting off the supply. Systemically fixing the issue is the fastest and most efficient, not this case-by-case basis bs.
Without looking into the case to see how long their sentence was......what else could they do but figure out a way to be that annoyance....gives them a little bit of power in a situation where it is in short supply, especially if you're low low on the totem pole.....going way off topic my father was a prison guard for years and he would tell me stories about what some of the "annoying" inmates would do, i will admit they get pretty creative.

If a transwoman or transman is masculine instead of feminine and vice versa (like how some non trans men and women are) are they still emulating female/male stereotypes? It's disingenuous to say that being trans is emulating male or female stereotypes because that's not inherently apart of it. The only thing inherent to it is suffering from distress from either being seen as a male/female socially or having the body of a male/female ie gender dysphoria and you don't need to be a stereotypical man or woman to alleviate that.

The trans community doesn't like to gate keep. I remember having convos with my trans brother and pointing out that the inability to gate keep predators and ostracize them from the group will lead to stuff like this happening, which then puts the entire group under scrutiny.

According to the crazy no gate keep community doctors are expensive and we know our selves. But if that's the case why even have therapists? The lack of gatekeeping will be end of the trans community in a few decades. Too many kids on social media like tiktok that are self diagnosing, get easy access to hormone treatment and some things can't be reversed, kids that aren't even trans but have other things going on like trauma from.abuse and SA, molestation, bullying, other mental health issues and so on. While the easy access to treatment is good for real trans this sh-- will explode back to them soon enough. It's not just predators taking advantage of the loopholes that's a problem.

I've asked a lot of people who claim that being a woman is simply a "feeling" the question, "What does being a woman FEEL like?" and no one could really give me a solid answer. People, in general, don't walk around literally thinking about their genitals in every quiet moment. One woman might "feel" like a woman when she'sbeing motherly and taking care of her children. Another woman might say she "feels" like a woman simply by the kinds of clothes she is wearing. Other women say they won't give a shit about either of those things. That "feeling" will vary from woman to woman and you obviously can't define "woman" based on that. Same with "man." So what do we have? Biology.
I do think there are cases where someone, for whatever reason, is born with some sort of medical condition where the reality of their physical body doesn't match with what their brain is telling them. That results in gender dysphoria which we have a variety of treatment options available to /help/ alleviate that. But so many people want to pull away from "gender dysphoria" and make it all about some nebulous "feeling" or "identity" and in doing so. . .we create a world where it is easier for someone to rape women in prison.
I'm a trans man, and i.m.o "i feel like a man" is just the fastest way to say it really does a disservice to how gender dysphoria feels like. Before therapy and hormone treatment, it feels like you're always out of the loop with all the people that have the same sex. For me this would be other females. I could not relate to any of them, any of their thought patterns, any of their social patterns or interests but i swept it under the rug for a long time. Now, my brain is proven, via P.E.T scans to behave the same way as a biological man does.
So how does that feel like? This needs context: Before treatment it feels like you're constantly playing dress-up by following the norm of gender roles in society. Like, a female has their respective secondary sex characteristics (Such as breasts, a period, hips and certain fat distribution) and follows the norm of social behavior such as clothing, friendships, general behavior, expression, speech etc. All of these things did not align with my view, intuition (so feeling), thoughts and actions. It would make me physically so sick to constantly keep up this female or feminine mask that i was getting health problems. I got an eating disorder by trying to hide the fact that i felt different and trying to conform to the standards. I got depressed and started abusing drugs and alcohol because every day felt like a performace for other people.
I concluded that i may align more with men. I felt comfortable being in their space, and i felt like i had a real bond with men as opposed to women. I did experiment with being a masculine female, but this still didn't help all of the mental distress i felt about my secondary sex characteristics and the conformation to the role that is expected of me. At one point it got so overwhelming that i would rather jump in front of a train than to perform this girl-façade. It's a feeling of overwhelming dread that you are somehow broken.
The feeling of that comformation when i would imagine myself as a man, or act more masculine would improve my mood immensely. That feeling that you finally belong to "your" group. Women have always felt like a group that is so alienated from me. I just feel more aligned, comfortable, happy and logical to be a man. I also believe that i should've just been born as a man.
After years of therapy, research etc. I got the diagnosis Gender dysphoria.I socially transitioned first, trying out a new name, new pronouns, a new identity that completely aligned with the image i have of myself and the group (men). I started to try and become masculine with the respective social norms to the male group and felt more and more at ease. My mental distress started to decline. It was only after a year on forced hormone blockers that i was adamant on receiving the treatment for gender dysphoria, as i was still having stress and physical disgust of my body that were not going away by merely expressing myself as masculine or a man. The moment i started to get testosterone, and even now, my depression is gone. After i got my chest removed, it was such a happy day. I was no longer completely stuck with a group that did not feel right. I could finally breathe, and not feel suicidal.
So why do i feel like a man? Nobody knows. How does that feeling present itself? intuition and a sense of belonging to men. I feel masculine as i was always socially the same as men. I feel like a man because i can align completely with how most men operate mentally. HRT is now the only option together with possible surgeries that removes a significant portion of dyphoria and stops people from unaliving themselves. I'm truly happy now and can finally intregrate into society with the sense that i found my place. A.k.a i no longer want to shoot myself in the head every hour of the day.
I will biologically always be female. But i am a (trans) man. I present myself as one, i went great lengths and pain to present myself like i do now, i have to keep stabbing myself with needles every 3 weeks for this etc.
It is a very complex thing, this is why many people simplify it. I'm sorry, i hope this helps with the perspective.
Remember, most trans people do not want to have anything to do with the online community that is so loud and wrong. Most of us want to live a life of peace and quiet without constant dysphoria.
As a functional society, we also understand the importance of sociology. Religion is also based on feeling and identity. We should always understand the biological factors behind sex, we should also understand how ingrained gender roles are within our society and how it is a part of all of us since the day we are born. We only create a world where we put people at harm of rape by not making logical informed decisions on a case by case basis. Those that fear the implications of trans people funnily only care about trans women... almost as if maybe... trans people aren't the problem... but predatory man through and through.
