Today, 25 years later, Hajde da ludujemo is still the biggest hit from this section. Much bigger then Rock me baby.
Din Cha AGREE! It should at least have come 2nd, or won, its about as good as Insieme.
Snowcold it's better than Insieme
And it rocks, love it. Greetings from Finland
1990 was one of the strongest years.
Maybe it is the only "top 10" that will never be changed.
Talk about frozen in time
Of course!
@Aleks no
@Aleks they were inly 2 entries
Fun fact: Hajde da ludujemo, Dzuli and Ja sam za ples are much more recognised and played on parties in Ex-Yu countries than Rock me😅✌️
They had a lot of great songs in the competition. In Serbia, Croatia & Bosnia-Hercegovina "Hajde Da Ludujemo" is still a often played song.
Mangup, dzuli and ja sam za ples are still very popular in Croatia.
And rock me is popular.
JoleTole 4426 Али ,,Хајде да лудујемо” заједно са ,,Гори ватра” је опстало и то ЕНОРМНО код нас, да мислим да чим неко напуни 6 година зна те пјесме!!!!! :))))))
Now this is something I wasn't expecting yet I love!
They're doing top 10s of all the countries that have won at least once.
Yugoslavia sent a great song almost every year! :D
Hajde da ludujemo is still being regularly sung at Serbian weddings 😅 Also, 2 songs that are considered evergreens were Gori vatra (1973) and Brazil (1991) but they're not on the list because of their low placements. Anyways, love the video!
Dzuli is also kinda famous still
Đor Đe Brazil is funny
Ja sam za ples is still big in wedding celebrations, too :D :D
Hajde da ludujemo it's sung in macedonian weedings too! 😁
Hajde da ludujemo is still played in many ex yugo countries (i heard it in croatia/bosnia and in republika srpska too
Holy crap these are quite good! Yugoslavia was a kickass eurovision competitor!!
Didn't think that they'd do Yugoslavia
Cameron Preston я одна русская ? Translation from Russian - I'm Russian ?
Why wouldn't they, Yugoslavia won the 1989 contest
They're doing top 10s of all the countries that have won at least once.
Jesse Kuiper ok that makes sense
Cameron Preston stop shitting
Yugoslavia was underrated and today's former Yugoslavia countries are still underrated.
This country gave us a lot of classics,i mean Hajde Da Ludujemo?Jedan Dan?Mangup?Rock me?Dzuli? And from the succeser countries we have Marija Magdalena,Neka Mi ne svane,Molitva,Lane Moje,Lejla,Crno I Belo etc?So iconic!
Who is from one of the Yugoslavian countries here?
Viktor Lulic ja iz Hrvatske
Music Lover Ja isto!
Viktor Lulic Serbiaaaa❤️❤️❤️❤️
Iz Slovenije!
Ja
so next, Switzerland!
and I love Hajde da ludujemo, Ja sam za ples, Džuli and Rock Me! Yugoslavia was really good at the contest in the 80s
DominoRed yes, we will see her!
Doris Dragovic from 1986 for me the best (even it was lowest in score)
Gabriela Piechowicz actually every single one of these songs that you said are from Croatia even Rock me baby
Dinko Fabris at the time it was Yugoslavia, Croatia was part of
1990 was epic :) they deserved to win with that song, not in 1989...
The biggest Yugoslavian Eurovision entry in Serbia is the song "Brazil" by Bebi Dol from 1991. Even though it came 21st out of 22 songs. "Hajde da ludujemo" and "Juli" also huge hits still today.
I was born after the breakup of Yugoslavia and I'm aware Yugoslavia and it's system had some flaws, but for me it seems that life in Yugoslavia was really nice. I really wish time machines existed so I can spend few days in 70s or 80s when my parents were kids/teenagers. I'm so happy when I catch that special Yugoslavian vibes, like when I walk in some part of the town where there are a lot of houses and buildings that were built back then or even when I see some old street light poles etc
That's why I also really like some of Yugoslavian music! It has some specific style and again it has some really cool vibe and I'm glad it's still kinda popular here in Serbia and you can hear some songs on the radio really often.
Thank you for this video, it's great!
You are the only communist country that are free. No wonder you like it.
@@Nouthwash cough cough, y’all forgetting Germany, Poland, hungry, Romania and so forth
@@smophie6260 All those countries you listed (assuming you mean East Germany for Germany) were part of the Warsaw Pact and were soviet satellite states. All elections in Poland were rigged for communist leaders and I would imagine the same was the case for the other countries.
Soviet Union had control over all these countries from around 1945 to 1989
Yugoslavia, my favorite ESC country.
Lolaaa 1962. Beautiful Lola, beautiful song. My favorite. Second one Berta Ambroz.
I like Tajci from 1990!!! Great song!!! 12 pts from the UK!!!
Top yugoslav enties that everyone sings at parties to this day:
1. Hajde da Ludujemo
2. Brazil (not on this list)
3. Ja sam Za Ples
4. Dzuli
5. Gori Vatra (not on this list)
6. Željo moja (not on this list)
The winner "Rock me " hardly anyone remembers :)
I love "Hajde da ludujemo"
Lola Novaković, wow! :O
YUGOSLAVIA!❤
Rock me ❤️
1st place TAJCI (1990) , not bad performance too from Novi Fosili and Riva , greetings from Azərbaycan
0:45 Jedan Dan is such a great song! It is criminally underated. It should have won the 1968 Eurovision competition.
I wish Yugoslavia hadn't been dissolved! It was such a good country! :(
Isn't.
@@lol19yearsago23 low crime rates dispute you
@@smophie6260 I speak using google translator. The high rate of corruption and non-workers dispute you.
@@lol19yearsago23 every country has its nuances
@@smophie6260 In the ex Yugoslavia, the average salary is 250 euros. Only in Croatia and Slovenia are salaries higher. Bosnia, Serbia, Kosovo and Montenegro are bullshit for life.
For me it was 1971 with Kruno Slabinac Beautiful song - Even though I did not understand one word - Greetings from the U.K.
Super canciones del recuerdo de Eurovicion les amo es una música hermosa felisitaciones a Eurovicion
Linda ortografía.
We miss you yugoslavia you're strong in one piece
My favorite entry from Yugoslavia is the one from 1974. She's got a prog rock style wich is really pleasant for me !
Jedan dan 😍 My 2nd favourite ESC song ever
Daniel Olsson neka neka :)
Daniel Olsson what's the first?
Joana Gomes Productions My all times ESC favourite is Antique - Die for you (Greece 2001)
Srebrna Krila,Tajci, Novi Fosili and Riva 🥰🇭🇷👌
I like your taste
1990 entry is so perky and fun!
Agju she had a vibe about her
Yugoslavia 2019!!!
Poz iz dijaspore! ❤️
Hajde da ludujemo is in my all time top-10. 😍❤️
Where’d you get the plushie bro?
I want Yugoslavia back!:( even if the country dont exist anymore
No better with more countries!
KALIMAindia Yeah, but it was easier when it could all be fit into one night
Oliver Dragovic Nope kid
Oliver Dragovic me too. But i want S&M back. They must form as one because together they make masterpieces. Separately mostly not. Enough evidence that they have Tom and Jerry syndrome. They will be one country again just in aims of Eurovision, Željko will come back and take his revenge with "Lane moje 2". He will summon Toshe who will give him an inspiration for the song.
Ken Yamamoto yes. No semis anymore. How cute it would be. But i miss S&M more because thats the only country which has never won and will not have a chance anymore.
So many good songs, Yugoslavia was my favourite Eurovision-country trough 80-90. My absolute favourite is Leila 🙏
finally, every week I expect every top
TAJCI was the best entry so far
1990 is my favorite :)
My favorite entries from Yugoslavia:
01. 1968 Jedan dan
02. 1983 Džuli
03. 1986 Željo moja
04. 1988 Mangup
05. 1989 Rock me
I'm from Croatia and from my personal experience (born in '87) I'd say 1983 Džuli by Danijel Popović, 1986 Željo moja by Doris Dragović and 1990 Hajde da ludujemo by Tajči became the most played/recognizable ESC entries from Yugoslavia, at least here in Croatia. 1968 entry is kind of very specific, not really the kind of song you'd hear on the radio every day.
From all these songs, my favorite ones are 1968 and 1983.
I love Eurovision
Lola Novakovic. Lovely image in the lyric (though cigarettes are uncool nowadays!)
I LOVE!!!!!!!! Gori Vatra from 1973.. a Bosnian song I remember? It was so underrated. And the song from 1990 was a great song too.. deserved top 3 for sure. 1966 sounds a lot like Eres tú from Spain, 1973 in the melody... and 1983, 1986 and 1989 were great too!
Yugoslavia still my favourite ever Eurovision country :)
Jugoslavija je bila i ostala jedina komunistička zemlja koja je učestvovala! Vratite na Jugoslaviju na takmičenje!❤❤❤
Yugoslavia has been and is the only comunist state which participate in the constest! Give us Yugoslavia back in the contest❤❤❤❤
Yay! So someone does listen to the comments. Thank you! 😜
loved the entries of the 80s and 90s
Greetings from Sweden. My top 5:
5. 1968
4. 1986
3. 1992
2. 1983
1. 1987
I love 1967 and 1989 from this video, however, 1973 will always be my favourite ♥
This is so nostagic
Why did they have to win just *once*? I wouldn't mind if they had won 9 years in a row or something. 1984 and 1987 are huge highlights, but ngl every song from 1982 to 1991 stands out. Yugoslavia is my favorite ESC country and not even their successors (except Slovenia probably) can send anything close to their legendary songs!
Yugoslavia 💗💗
YUGOSLAVIA ❤️
The most popular YU song at ESC without doubt is Brazil by Bebi Dol from 1991. Brazil placed poorly at the Eurovision but to this day it is almost the only song that is regularly played on radio, TV and it has huge following on CZcams. It was also the most covered and remixed YU ESC songs. Hajde Da Ludujemo from 1990 and Brazil are the most popular and most remembered songs from YU ESC history. Also, still very popular Gori Vatra by Zdravko Colic from 1973 and Zeljo Moja by Doris Dragovic from 1986. Some early songs, even though not as popular today, were absolutely beautiful, such as Ne Pali Svetla U Sumrak by Lola Novakovic from 1962, Vse Roze Sveta by Lado Leskovar from 1967, Jedan Dan by Dubrovacki Trubaduri from 1968 or Neke Davne Zvezde by Ljiljana Petrovic from 1961.
The top 3 contains my 3 winning songs for Yugoslavia.
BEST FOR ME doris dragovic zeljo moja from 1986 but not on the list
✊✊
Bebi Dol (Brazil, 1991) is missing in this video!
Om swastiastu Suksma United at Home thanks.
I'm from Brazil and I like Hajde da ludujemo(1990) more than I like Brazil(1991)

Yugoslavia was underrated and XY countries are continuing that tradition unfortunately...
I'm guessing Switzerland is next, followed by Belgium?
Ooh, so exciting! :D
Where is "Dan ljubezni" from Pepel in kri??
1975, 1984
Zeljo Moja by Doris Dragovic in 1986 was easily one of the best, if not THE best song from Yugoslavia! And it’s not even in this list! The studio version has nearly 10 million views right now...
I am meet Lado Leskovar in Belgrade!!!
osjeća se kao da ide dobro
ROCK ME BABY
Jedan Dan and Julie the best for Yugoslavia. Also excellent was the entry from extra nana in 1992 the last song to represent Yugoslavia WHICH UNFORTUNATELY came only 13nth.

If only Yugoslavia never broke up. Then neither Eurovision's fate would change, nor would Europe witness so much brutality and blood.
And next, the top 10 from The Netherlands?
Top 3 are singers from Croatia!!YAS SLAY!😍
This attitude destroyed yugoslavia -
1:53 she looks like Miley Cyrus 😂
Did Yugoslavia sing in different languages every year? Or did they choose one baselanguage?
Deniz NL they usually had a national selection from entries of various regions and languages of the nation
If it was Croatian singer he/she sang on croatian and so did every ex Yugoslavian country
Thanks for the answers.
Deniz NL it depended on who was the winner of national selections
It's the same language, just different dialects (well, except for Slovenia and Macedonia)
9. & 7. Slovenian
