After my parents, he is the most influential person in my life, as I listened to him every week for 26 years. I miss his presence in my life so much since he stepped down, its just this massive void, made worse by death of my own father.
We need credible people who love him, to interview him as many times as possible in next months and years. We must extract every ounce of genius and wisdom from his remarkable life.
It’s when he keeps asking Gary “Do you remember?”, It’s like a grandad telling his grandson stories. The relationships he had with all his players was/is second to none.

I’m a Liverpool fan living in Stockport, I use to work in place in Wilmslow, I use to see many footballers and celebrities knocking about on lunch breaks etc, I never once asked for autographs, I’ve met, Andy Cole, Wayne Rooney, Nani, Raheem Sterling, too many to mention, I seen SAF come out of Waitrose meeting his wife at his car, I was instantly star struck I ran out of the the store shouted his name and ran towards him, I asked for an autograph to which he smiled and said of course he stopped what he was doing and asked me what team I follow, I told him Liverpool, he smiled and said well, someone round here has to and laughed. What he has achieved is phenomenal massive respect to him.

Sir Alex brought me years of joy growing up as united fan. Honestly my all time hero in life. I wish I could meet him and simply thank him for what he brought to the game.

I get what you mean but the welbwck and clev that played for him aren't the same as the ones who were there after he left. He could get average players to play out of their skin week in week out. That's what his real talent was.
Literally almost made me tear up when he talked about risk and a last minute winner. Fergie knows that while football itself is beautiful and endlessly enjoyable, the fans and the roar of a stadium are what makes it magical. How grateful United fans should be that they found the greatest manager in football history.

I used to hate him for being so good, started watching the EPL in 1997 and I was an Arsenal fan. When you saw him chew his gum you knew a goal was coming. LEGEND! I’m glad he is healthy. This interview should have lasted at least 1 hour.

Sir Alex actually apprenticed under my uncle. When my uncle passed away mere months after he got knighted, he sent a letter to my aunt offering condolences. Our family will always be appreciative that a man as busy as he was took time out to remember someone from his past .
In fairness it was his day off and he wasn't that busy.
I listened to a Podcast with Rio Ferdinand (diary of a CEO) recently and little details like this were a common thing Sir Alex did. What a guy.

In 2012 october I had the chance to see this man in the flesh at CFR Cluj vs Man United, walking by the stands, spotting a few United shirts their in the home stand, and waving at us and smiling. Grew up hating fergie and the reason was because he was successful with united. Hated neville for the same reason. One of my earliest football memories was that winning goal between a box filled with green and white shirts.
These people are club legends and rightfully so. Not just club legends, these are football legends. Nothing but respect for them now, fergy especially.

My Dad was from Govan, and worked in the shipyards, in the 60's, grew up at the same Town as Sir Alex
But I lost him 20yrs ago now, and miss him more than ever. He never got to meet his grand daughter, and missed so much

As a Birmingham City fan, I have no reason to love or hate this man. Whenever I hear a podcast or watch a tv show and a player from his era talks about the “presence of Fergie” I’ve always thought that, to me, he’s always come across quite softly spoken and couldn’t understand how he had been on top for so many years. Sir Alex used to visit the children’s hospital in Manchester. My cousin was ill with cancer , and a mad united fan.
Sir Alex got him to watch a game and meet all the team etc. My cousin was so happy. He left us not long after aged 23.

This man truly is so underrated. When he went to Aberdeen for example, he turned a ‘two horse race’ league into just one, and that one wasn’t even the two original. He made the last win for a non Celtic/rangers team in the Scottish prem and made the last team to beat Real Madrid in a final. Truly insane

I love how Sir Alex responds and looks when Gary earnestly asks why SAF kept him on for an extra season despite him thinking he wasn't good enough, and SAF just replies matter-of-factly like a father who wonders why his son doubts himself
this is why you ask all the players even Beckham after their falling out they all still call him "boss""gaffer" etc cause even when they disagreed Ferguson was always there for them every second these were his players and the amount of times he would attack the media who even dared to question what he would see every week shows that he really was a father figure.

I used to hate the guy and his team when I was a kid but watching this now, it's like watching a WW2 veteran's recollections of his experiences. This guy's experience and perspectives are priceless.

As a Liverpool fan, I have the utmost respect for this man. Best manager the Premier League has ever seen, to sustain that level of dominance for so long should not be underestimated. Also hearing Gerrard speak of how Sir Alex helped him when he moved into management speaks volumes of the man. Great to see him looking well and healthy again👍

Just as a football fan, there's something that just feels like has been made right when you see Sir Alex and hear him talk footy. The game misses him and it is a privilege for him to have paid us a visit in this way. Sir Alex and prem football just go together. Also can't believe I'm watching Gary interviewing Sir Alex.
