    Not only the greatest British manager of all time, the GREATEST of ALL time, that's coming from a Swedish fella. What he turned Manschester United into, and his loyalty and ability to rebuild, generation after generation is a testament unto itself. I feel very privileged having grown up watching this guy manage and lead what became one of the greatest football legacies of all time.

    First and foremost I am a Liverpool supporter. But I have to say, you would be hard pressed to ever find a manager like Sir Alex Ferguson ever again in the history of this great game. Straight talking, no nonsense, hard hitting, admirable, the superlatives you could use for this great man could go on and on. Such an inspiring man, great manager, great adversary over the years. Imagine what Man U could have done if he had stayed.

    I’ve genuinely slowly lost much of the passion I had for football after he retired. You could argue that I’ve grown up and started doing stuff in my life but I can say pretty safely that once he left ,a part of the club died. I really think that in the end, during his reign, Ferguson was bigger than Manchester United.

      You're not the only one, I can guarantee that. Big Liverpool fan myself but my twin is a United fan, and we just don't talk football anymore. It's great that Liverpool are at the top now, but it sucks that there's not a head-to-head rivalry yet again for the biggest prize.

Then I see the media and fans get all rilled up that Utd isn't where it "should" be....Nonsense.......you took the responsible for all that success....all the signings, the mentality etc.....out of the club....what are you expecting? it takes time. A lot of time to get back to the same kind of form. And luck....and many factors....and other remarkable professionals to replace him.

    I'll never forget this day, I was a young boy in a pub with family who supported United all our lives and seen him and the team at Old Trafford and away manys of time. As a young boy I cried seeing Sir Alex retire, the end of an era but he gave us all so many great memories to look back on and became a legend in my eyes and many of supporters eyes.

    Even though I am a City fan, I have to say that Alex Ferguson is the greatest manager of all time. You don't even need to watch this speech or see his games to know this. All you need to hear is the testimonies of his former players, including the greatest of all time, Cristiano Ronaldo, who say he was like a father to them, and the main driving force behind their success.

    It's so strange how Van Persie stood there applausing the farewell of a rival manager for more than 6 years and yet wasn't there to applause in the farewell for the manager that made him the player he was. Football is crazy.

It’s not the same nowadays he would’ve kissed Wenger on the lips and checked his prostate. But back then rival players wouldn’t interact publicly other then on international games.     That one honest being himself, a leader, a boss with sincere honest good educated manner man always teaches the right ways to be a better player on and off the pitch plus good character to all the players even to cleaners, chef, receptionists, securities and everyones there had and still have sincere family vibes connection, that is unbelievable character as a man and tbh that how a good person should do, prolly he is blessed to have this successful career as the no 1 epl manager of all time, even there some beats his record, they wil not even close with his character/sincere hardworks to the club.
    We should be appreciated him endlessly all his and team, players hardworks to achieve beyond our imaginations. Everytimes he made speech, it has meaninful word behind it, what a man.
