This is as close as you're going to get to a sign of respect from Keane. He respects Fergie massively for the manager he was, but also won't allow his single-mindedness to forget what he seen as a betrayal when Fergie got rid of him.
He is understandably bitter at the way he was treated, and how it all unfolded.
Roy Keane gave his heart and soul to Manchester United, and no fan will ever forget that.

Some people might not like him as a person and that's fine, but nobody can question what he brought to the club. The semifinal against Juventus in 1999 is a prime example he got booked and knew he was out of the final, that would've seen some players fold, but not Roy, he put on a masterclass of what being a captain meant and inspired us to get us through to the final, that speaks volumes for the guy.
