Feminism IS about equality, there are however many people who claim to be feminists who ruin the reputation of feminism because they only care about women. (and sometimes non-binary genders) I understand why these so-called feminsts are hated on, but please, some of us actually believe in gender equality, also when it is men who are at a disadvantage.

I wouldn't say men are disgusted by periods, they just freak out because it's a thing that doesn't happen to them, so they don't really understand how they can help much, but they still try, I've never really heard a guy say menstruation is "disgusting" or "grotesque"

It's a lot going on. I'd be more worried if there are men who AREN'T grossed out by periods at least a little. Don't let feminazi's who drink Satan's blood for breakfast tell you otherwise.

papa eggo honestly as an 18 year old female, I am equally amazed as I am terrified by what our bodies can do. Thinking about giving birth to children makes me sick to my stomach. Although I'm fine with having a period, I'd see why men are uncomfortable with the idea. It's a crazy fuckin thing, shedding an entire uterine lining in less than a week. Some women have a heavier blood flow than others do and have different symptoms. Some men don't know the specifics of periods but most of the time it's not their fault since the sex education is so faulty in America.

    *Modern Feminism*

Its been a few hundred years people. Modern feminism and historical feminism are very different. When Blaire talks about feminism, she means the modern form. She is totally aware that her right to vote was due to feminist movements in history.
There are still true feminists out there, and then there are feminazis that hijacked the concept.

Okay... at 3:06, we talk about feminism. Women like Christina Hoff Sommers are a great example of what rational (second wave) feminism is. I think that the REAL enemy is third wave feminism (which is so prevalent on college campuses and must be fought) and I think we should all be careful when using these terms interchangeably if we're gonna win this fight. When the opposition hears someone say "I'm not a feminist" they could interpret that however they want. What most people mean when they say "I'm not a feminist" these days they mean to say "I don't believe in a patriarchal conspiracy theory, I disagree with the tactics of third wave feminism (such as getting people fired and physically abused at a rally), and I don't hate men". When some feminists hear "I'm not a feminist" they interpret that as "women are only sex objects, they don't belong in the workplace, men should be running everything". So, to everyone that wants to fight these insane third wave feminists, I say we have to actually use the phrase "third wave feminist" to differentiate between the crazies and the rational (like Christina Hoff Sommers)

People either forget or choose to ignore that women were doing a lot before the feminism movement even began. There were female scholars, mathematicians, scientists, queens who defended their own countries, women aiding in rebellions, women aiding in wars, women smugglers, women spies, women laborers, women fighting in wars, authors, artists, mothers, farmers, inventors. Feminism gave a couple of rights, but there were many western and even eastern women that had many accomplishments as their male counterparts. Ironically, the women before the movement were more inspiring and respected, and especially compared to the women to the women now. There isn't that great spark or determination anymore, and I can honestly say, I respected more women back in the day than now. They had most of their priorities straight which made them that iconic and admired. Honestly, the feminism movement will be remember for two things, the suffrage movement and this current era. That's why I won't ever call myself one or ever be part of that movement. If women before the movement were able to push through the standards without a movement behind them, why would I go for a movement that ran itself into the ground? A good chunk of women aren't even worth that admiration anymore since the women tend to lack that drive. Hell, most women now days go for liberal arts and act like middle schoolers, while in the past, women had priorities in their lives that drove them to succeed. In some cases, it was better.

But a lot of people today automatically call "victim blaming" when the question is raised. Most people want to help victim, most people want to see them free, but most people also don't know why this happens and every new generation needs to be taught. It's exactly the same thing with a lot of rape; why do certain women get raped in certain situations. We need to ask these questions, so we can then learn what to change, what to avoid, what advice to give. If you automatically shut down all debate by screaming that it's victim blaming, you are leaving all the potential future victims vulnerable in their ignorance, and making it harder for anyone else to learn how to help. Or to take a different angle, it's like asking why did this house get burgled and not any other one in the neighborhood, so that we can learn how to discourage theft. Just shouting "Let's just tell people to stop stealing!" is sheer idiocy.

      +Bill Jacobs,
I was in an abusive relationship for 8.5 years. He hit, he manipulated, he had the tongue of a snake and the morals of Satan. These people (especially narcissists, sociopaths, and physchopaths) are trained in manipulation techniques that convince the victim that they are at fault, that if they just did something different, everything would be different.
You are certainly NOT wrong for asking this question as it is a normal question to ask from the outside looking in. But know when you ask it that it effects the victim negatively causing them to blame themselves more for their own stupidity and inadequacy. They're trained by their abusers to do this.
Victim blaming isn't just about you blaming the victim. Its about focusing on the victim and what they can do rather than focusing on the one who's really doing wrong. This plays into the abusive dynamic and very much in favor for the abuser.
Please understand what victim blaming is. And if you want to help someone, the information is all over the Internet. But a quick crash course would be #1, do everything you can to build their confidence... They need it to trust their own thoughts again. #2, Remind them of their rights. #3, Offer any support you can. most often victims are purposely trapped with no way out(isolated with no money). The more options they get, the more hope will start to grow again. #4, give them time. it took time for the abuser to jumble up reality, its going to take a while to grasp it again.
Abuse is so much more than hitting. There's systematic brainwashing aka cohercive persuasion. And until you fully understand how that works, you're not going to understand why women stay. If a victim knew this to tell you, they wouldn't be getting abused. I mean, that's just silly to think you can ask the victim why they're stuck. Right?

I love your videos and agree with you a lot, but I do want to say a note about people in abusive relationships (I'm saying "people" because it can be either women or men). There are times when someone ends up in a relationship that they didn't expect to be abusive and they can get out of it just fine, or have trouble escaping but still know it's wrong.
But there are people who, because of how they were raised, their mindsets, the type that they are attracted to, or many other reasons, end up finding themselves with abusive people more often than they should. I'm not saying it's a good thing, but it's not uncommon for someone to be in an abusive relationship because there's a mis-connection in their mind. By that, I mean that sometimes people can't directly connect abuse as something that is not only terrible but unacceptable and shouldn't be allowed to be continued.
Some may think that abuse is still love and it's okay, possibly as a result of childhood abuse or mistreatment. Other times someone may think that they will never have anyone who will treat them any better than that, regardless if someone like that really does come along, because they have such a negative view of themselves that they can't comprehend that they deserve better. Or sometimes a person can be attracted to certain behaviors that are very highly subjective to abusive behavior, and therefore repeatedly put themselves in bad situations unknowingly.
Again, it's not right and they are not thinking properly but it is very plausible for the cause to be their own minds tricking them into thinking that it's okay with various fallacies.

On the issue of women who stay in abusive relationships, unless you’ve been there, you really have no place to speak. It’s far more complicated than it appears. These are not stupid doormat women who make the choice to stay because...what? What would even fit there? What is the assumption exactly? That they don’t respect themselves? Or maybe they don’t have enough sense to leave? Or they condone it? All of these are stupid reasons and if what people are assuming about women who stay is anywhere close to these assumptions, take a step back and realize how ridiculous that is. Humans issues are complex and individual. Stop blaming women for staying.

To be honest I don't think women are the ones putting pressure on each other to look youthful. They definitely create beauty standards for themselves such as fashion choices and aspiring to be stick-skinny (at least in the past, with models like Kate Moss). Many of women's beauty standards are created for women by women, and not only do men not care but I think in some trends they even consider it unattractive. However, the youthfulness (while it may be pushed by women also) is a direct response to what men want. Men like young looking girls because it's a subconscious sign of healthy child birthing. They like the perky boobs and the fresh skin, who wouldn't? The cliche story of the 40 year old father who abandons his wife and kids for his 20 year old secretary is a cliche for a reason; it happens, a lot. I work as a bartender at a strip club, and I've had many conversations with men who let their guard down and talk about their sexual desires in that setting. Several men have literally said that they wish they could date a girl half their age. Whether women push that agenda or not, men definitely started it.

Even though I disagree with a lot of your arguments, and think that using memes to reject an ideology is not the best method, I defend your right to express your opinion. However, just a friendly reminder before you choose such a violent title for your videos: feminism isn't just 10 years old. Thanks to feminism, in its early forms, you have the chance to post such a video. You can talk about whatever you want, and the majority of people won't discredit you just because you're a woman. You can be part of the decision of the political future of your country, you can go to school and have the same opportunities as a boy in the same situation as you.
I am not saying that you should bow down to feminists and thank them, let alone accept that ideology if it is not yours, but I think it would be kind for you to at least recognize how you have also taken advantage of its benefits.
Feminism isn't always what it is right now, and it did make an impact in our lives, whether we want to admit it or not.
Also, focusing on the negative aspects of an ideology is great when you're not fond of it, but you do have to acknowledge that feminism isn't just about what you see in the western world. It is much more than internet, than any video, than this comment right here; it is something needed by people who still cannot go to school because they are girls, who still cannot choose who to marry, who need and want our help, from the other side of the world.
All of this is just a request for more respect when dealing with such a delicate subject; it is easy being born in a world where basic problems, such as education, and several other individual freedoms don't pose as major problems, but think about the ones who are not as lucky. Who have been killed for wanting a bit more. They need us too.
    Have a nice day.

In regards to the 'Men are just allowed to age' thing. I agree with what you say but I'd like to add to it, another reason men are considered to 'improve' with age, is because women (and society in general) will often gauge a mans worth by what he can provide (basically, how much money he has), and of course older men tend to be wealthier than younger men.
Women are not traditionally burdened with the expectation to be the provider, neither do they face the stigma of being labeled a 'loser' if they're in a low paying job or even unemployed.
Having your human worth valued by whats in your wallet isn't a 'privilege' and I'm sure it's a pretty shitty feeling for those men who haven't found financial success in life.
Saying that, I can totally understand why old or unattractive women might feel disgruntled by younger, more attractive women being valued more highly than they are, *but* at least women are valued for 'them' and not how much money they can give you...

The female Youth = Beauty equation is connected to fertility, and is hard-wired into males by nature, NOT culture. This is similar to the hard-wired attraction of females to mature, established males With Assets. This is connected to the male's Provider/Protector sexual market value.
Such tendencies are strong, and hard-wired for practical reasons, but they do not rule us 100%. Feminists should quit guilting and shaming about these natural tendencies!

Radicals that advocate the deaths of whole demographics (i.e. genocide) infest every political movement. Feminism is a fantastic example of a movement gone far too far. And I despair when I sit in my English literature classroom "learning" about the "benefits" of third wave feminism, as my poor neglected classmates sit idly by, staring into space either hating everything they are hearing or actually allowing the rhetoric to seep into their minds. "no means no" is an intellectual phrase that means it's exact words. obviously "no" won't stop rapists, but maybe rapists should know limits of the word "no" to a woman and her body. if a man and a woman (or a woman and woman, man and man) make a decision to be "sexual" and the other says "no" before even doing anything, it means to stop because they perhaps could be uncomfortable with the situation. if a woman is uncomfortable, and she says "no" or "stop" the other person should obviously know the fucking definition of "no" and then stop immediately. if they don't stop, obviously it's rape. the point is, if you are conscious and oncoming a something sexual that you do not want to happen, saying "no" could possibly send a message to the other to stop. Rape is very horrible. imagine if it happened to you, would you say "no" to stop the person if you weren't enjoying it???????? exactly.

Look up the definition of feminism- it is the advocacy of women having the same rights a man would, you’re against that? You want to live as a woman, do you want to have the right to vote? Do you want to be able to own property, I know you want to buy a house, would you like to not be able to? Is that what you subcribe to? Patriarchy?

But a feminist IS anyone who belives men and women should be treated equally. The fact that some people consider feminist to have a different definition that this is irrelevant. If you and the dictionary disagree, it's not the dictionary that's wrong.

are you stupid, a feminist is not anyone who believes men and women should be treated equally. Thats a good human, a person who believes in *equality*. This comment is just another example of why people hate feminists

@@ahuman5440 Do you disagree with the statement "If you and the dictionary disagree, it's not the dictionary that's wrong" ?
Also that's why we have a different word for someone who thinks everyone should have equal rights: An egalitarian. YOu could be a feminist (someone who believes women and men should have equal rights) but if you, say, didn;t believe that gay people should be able to get married, then you WOULDN'T be an egalitarian. That''s why we have two different words for two different meanings.
Don't be afraid of a word just because it starts with "fem".
