Elloooo Squelch Squad we missed you all! How is everyone???
Just wanted to let you all know we've restocked our Etsy store with lots of goodies: www.etsy.com/shop/Spingobeans
WE HAVE MISSED YOU!👋😊❤
If no one has mentioned it, The Burdett Arms was a coffee “tavern”, established in Rochester Row in 1882. It was named in “Commemoration of the late Sir Francis Burdett”. It was a “temperance tavern” that served coffee and tea and, likely, meals for the working class of the area.
There’s an article in the Christian Temperance League newsletter of Jan. 7, 1882, that mentions its establishment and the visit of sundry clergy as well as two members of the Burdett family, their impressions, and that it was established by subscription and with the support of the various churches in the area.
Thanks so much for your comments, you really have solved a puzzle. It's funny we researched pub /brewing history of Rochester row and came up blank so this explains it! Thank you once again 🙂
@@Mudpies You’re welcome! I sent you a message on Instagram with the likes to the two things I found.
🎉 stoked to be back 🎉!!

I may be late to watch but everytime there's a new mudpies vid, I instantly click the thumbs-up first coz I know it's gonna be great. It's always great!
Thanks Candy 😍
I'm so glad to see you again, Josie and Andy! I've missed you!
😀😀😀
So nice to see you both out trudging through the mudbanks. Lots of tops topped by the inks, the claw pipe and many glass stoppers.
Can’t forget the Roman. Did the bigger pieces just not fit the tasteful layout on the table?
The little pots and the lids you left out and the blue and whites.
I really love the white dog. It will be nice to see it’s eventual place on a wall.
Belt up for the next adventure! Happy to have you back. 👋🇨🇦👋
You've been missed. Great finds, the green ink still looks good even if it's broken.
Doesn't it! Such a dark green colour 😀👍
So good to see you guys back in the mud! We were about to send a search party! Missed you both so much. Having liked and commented, I'll actually watch the video now! Welcome back x
P.S. And I've managed snaffle cream penny ink, which was on my wish list! Could the day get any better?!
Great finds, as always! The greyhound!🥰
Fantastic to see you back out in the mud. Have to say that is a beautiful colour for the F & M ink. A few bits of Roman. Looked very cold & windy! Can't wait for Spring, so we can see more of you out & about. Looking forward to the next biking vid.
Hello Bob, it's a real heart breaker of an ink ! Not seen one in quite that colour before. Very much looking forward to it getting warmer and being able to take advantage of the lighter evenings. Hope all is well with you? Lovely dump dig to follow up this video. Take care 😀 x
Great to see you both back, you were missed.. epic adventure..
Thanks 😍
Josie you yelling “GET IT!” about the decorative half lid is going to be my new ringtone! 😂 I
always know you’re serious when you pull out the gravely voice!
hahahahaha
Great to see you guys back squelching around in the mud again! I always love seeing pipe finds. The claw pipe is amazing! The Roman finds are fantastic! Oi, oi from Oz! ❤😂
Oi oi ! Yes Dad rarely finds pipes and this one was a belter. See you in the next one 💪😀x
So fun to see you in the MUD!!! I love the white pork pie ink! Thanks.
Thanks Debbie, those little pork pies are just a perfect. We heard somewhere that the white coloured pork pies had a different colour ink, we need to research this a bit more though to be certain!😀
Fun to see you 2 today.
Heya Susan!
Always enjoy a trip into the muddy wilds! That dark green ink is soooooo pretty, an amazing color and the roman base is really nice too. 😊
Thanks so much Nicole, hopefully it will soon become less wild! 😃
Great to see you both out squelching and Jinks of course taking care of… being cute🐱😃. Love the inks especially the green, looking forward to future content and collaboration. Take care Josie🚵♀️. Thank you both ❤
Hi Charlotte, good to hear from you again too! We will get creating more content. Take care 😀 x
I like the "quiet" finds just as much as the big exciting ones. Even the broken pieces make me think of the people that held and used them. The Roman pot base was my favorite this lark. Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks Terri, we tried to include a bit more of the everyday wandering and mooching around this time (although that can be tricky as Josie is very enthusiastic!) Pleased you enjoyed it!😀
Great to see you both back out on the mud. A lovely piece of Roman, well done. Can't wait for more adventures.
Cheers Jackie 🙂
Isn’t it amazing how things of the same sort kinda congregate together? I mean look at the amount of lids and stoppers you found in the same area. They all are amazing. What I wouldn’t give to have that kind of history around where I live. The turquoise ink is astonishingly beautiful the color is just wow.
Hello Kristi, I know it's so strange how the foreshore has a magic ability to sort things! Time and tides I presume. Thanks for your support as always 😀👍
Glad to see you back mudlarking, filming and sharing your father daughter relationship!
Thanks Jean 😀
Always love your videos! I don’t mind things that aren’t completely whole, they still hold so much history. No one would say that I’m whole and I have a lot of history too! 😁
Thanks Hazel, a very good point x
Great finds, I love the workhouse pottery, and the green ink is a fantastic colour 💚
Thanks Iain, the workhouse pottery piece took me down a fascinating bit of research. We had no idea these institutions housed so many poor people x
Glad that you are back. DONT ever go away again
Every time I go shopping with my wife and we start seeing interesting things... I say "Worm sign!" All from you guys. :)
😂😂😂
A very pleasant surprise this morning (our time in Oz) to see you both on our screens. Great to see all that mud; thanks for braving the elements. The claw pipe was THE find Andy although the Roman base bit comes close.
Hello Ian and Sue, good to hear from you! What type of claw would you call it?! 😀
@@Mudpies we think it may be your everyday chicken claw, not too exotic!!
Thanks much Fantastic 💥🙋♀️
You just made my day Happy to see you again so welcome back
Thanks Janice, we've a couple of videos to share , enjoy 😃
Megalodon Finds! Ah, the almosts are killing me. That green ink is such a beauty.
Glad to see y’all back in the squelching mud!
Megladonic!!! The almosts kind of keep you coming back too. Take care 😀
Not having your videos as often just makes them even more precious. So good to see you again. It's interesting that in extreme rural Alberta Canada, I now live near the hamlet of Rochester. A tiny community with a lot of important history that is connected to the Hudsons Bay Company. It goes to show you just how small this world really is.
Aaah thanks so much Janice 😍 There is a fascinating history associated with the Hudson bay company x
Love the Roman! And the dog 😍
Good evening, fine people of the mud 🤩
Good evvvvvvening 🫡🥳
Whaaaaaat? 😁😁😁 Did I really hear: "Meine Güte!"? English mud, Roman pottery, dragon claw pipe and German words? Good heavens, what an interesting mixture. Now back to the video.

Foremost live your lives. You've picked up a few more fans. When you post it I'll watch
The eye ointment “lid” is actually the vessel itself. It was covered with a piece of waxed paper. Great to see you two back in the mud.
So very happy to see you all back! Thank you for wonderful video! Be be well, be safe & enjoy!
Thanks Lisa x
Lots of unique finds, and I don't mind the chips and breaks, there is so much history! The dog is my fav even though I'm a cat person. 😻
It's funny I think greyhounds are oddly cat like in their appearance 😍
@@Mudpies I never thought of that, but I can see it now. They're lithe and quick and sleek. :-)
So lovely to see you both back online, you both look well in spite of the drippy noses! I loved that golden eye ointment pot, you can still buy it today, but in tubes. Shame they don't do the pots anymore.
It's good to have mud and more mud coming! Squelch on!!!!
Who doesn't love seeing friendly faces shining back at you from your screens. I'm so very happy to see you both covered in mud and wading through the muck and taking us along in your adventures. I hope all is well. Thx 😊 🙏.
Love that claw pipe, oar that ointment jar, oar that DOLL LEG, oar, that Dundee Marm, oar….. alway love a pork pie, oar a bit o’Roman….that dog! Have you two ever metal detected? Also Josie’s tea mug! I feel like there were some real belty mcbeltfaces for sure.
don’t you wish there were ceramic detectors to find the other half of that Prattware?
Terrific treasures you found. I love the piece with the depiction of the man and his dog. It is in good condition considering how old it must be. 🥰🐕🇺🇸
I missed you two also. It's been a while. 🇨🇦
Welcome back. You were missed
WHOO Hoo! A Mudpies video to watch while I take my break from my ranch work and drink some coffee!!
Coffeeeeeee 🥳
Welcome back Mudpies!
Ayyya thanks Anthony!
That little blue green ink would look pretty with some led lights in it!
So good to see you both. I’m sure if you go to the House of Parliament you’ll find some complete pratts. Thank you for another fun video.
Hello there 👍😃
😂😂😂
Great to see you skiing in the mud again super finds.
I always get excited when you find Roman items, even though they're usually in pieces. Bits and pieces can be very exciting, like I love finding broken bottles. Broken on top and I cut them down like yours, broken bottoms and the necks become napkin rings.
Very nice, very cool ❤😎👍👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!🥳
Was 'stylised' a pun as golden eye is cream to treat styes 😂
Hello from Ontario Canada I enjoy your video's.
So nice to see you both again, keep smiling and shining 😊
😊 Awhh thank you
Loved the eye ointment pot! Great save Josie! Next was the sherds with writing, especially the Bloomsbury Workhouse piece. Very cool finds you two!
Oi oi you muddy legends! Doesn't matter about the frequency, as long as you are out there squelching in the mud and getting those juicy finds
Glad to have you back 🔙😊
So glad to see you two back. I’ve missed you tons! 🇨🇦
Yay! Thank you!
Prattware!
Thank you, you two!! I love to watch your videos. It’s great to watch you larking, but most of all it’s just lovely to see how close you are, and beautiful daddy and daughter relationship. I’ve only just started larking and my 8yrs daughter comes with me, it’s such a special time. Thank you for inspiring us!!! Xxx
Aaah thank you! After a busy week of work it is such a good way to relax and enjoy the moment together. We went dump digging with the muddy duckers and their little daughter a few weekends ago (featuring in the next video), so lovely to see different generations hanging out and exploring history! Have a wonderful lark 😍 x
Thank you so much for braving the elements at this time of year to bring us a lark. 🥰😘You are both legends, even with drippy noses. 😂😂🤗 I am, as usual, in love with the white stoneware porkpie ink. I'm going to look up the workhouse shred you found, because I'm curious to know more about it. 🤔 thanks to viewer Mudhooks, I now know about the "pub". 😁😍Keep enjoying Life, and don't wear yourselves out becoming a slave to CZcams. I hit the notifications bell some time ago, so I always know when you've posted. Pats to the kitty & hugs to Mama Mudpie. See you next time. 😊😘🤗😻💖👍
Lovely way to start the day with The Mudpies, woot!
I really enjoy your hunts. I would really enjoy seeing the greyhound once it gets into the wall, I love seeing upcycles. I think your roman bowl base and the green ink bottle are super cool. Those and the half lid with the beautiful boy on it. There looked like the name of the artist was written in tiny letters under the image. I look forward to seeing more of your videos. The photography on this one came in very crisp and 3D. Good luck on your projects! Anastasia, Ocean Shores, Washington State, USA
I am very happy to see you back! I have missed you both. I have to say that I would not have known what even half of your finds were when you first started your channel. Now I am happy for you when you find a ink or a stopper, a piece of Roman now that is and will remain I'm sure a secret from me. The bottles with the different mouths are always exciting to see you find! Please be careful and stay safe! ❤❤
Thanks Mary❤️
You guys are great, love the commentary and positive vibes!
Thanks Michael 😄
Well nice to see you two back in action have fun and find great stuff in the mud
We will do our best, and more frequently as it warms up! Thanks for your support 😀

Just Googled squelch squad and tons of your videos dominate the search results. 🤣
Hahaha that’s what we like!
You have no idea how much your videos mean to me. I love the daughter/father relationship and you both are so Cool~At the same time, I don't want you to freeze.
So glad to see you two again!
So happy to see y'all again!! The broken lid is gorgeous and the green ink is such a lovely find! 🙂
Thanks so much Joni 😃
I spat my buckfast out when Josie got a wee bit carried away,,,very funny 🤩
😂😂😂 I do have a tendency to get over excited!!!
Loved the lid with the beautiful picture, the white ink pot was very cool! It was so fun seeing and hearing you squelch about!
Hello Terri, the lid was such a suprise, especially to see it's swash of colour amongst the grey mud 😀👍
A muddy day but a great haul.
Absolutely wonderful to see you guys again ❤❤❤❤❤❤

So good to see you both!!!
Was a great lark out on the mud again, you nice folks. Good mix of interesting stuff. The 1/2 prat is great. Looking forward to the next one 😀
Oh for a full Pratt! 😂
@@Mudpies l suppose you could say you've got a bit of a Pratt 😂🤣, amazing colours though, out there somewhere is the missing link. Happy hunting you pies 👍
Hiya Mudpies ! Have a close look at the lower edge of your Pratt ware lid. You'll notice 'Murillo pinx'. This is the Spanish Baroque painter Bartolome Esteban Murillo (1617 - 1682) He is largely unknown today but was popular in the Victorian era for his depictions of ordinary people - flower sellers, beggars, peasants and maybe even Spanish mudlarks. The painting is called 'Two Peasant Boys' and dates from the late 1660s. 'Pinx' is short for 'pinxit' and means 'pained' in Latin (Pinx -it !) Cheers.
Thanks that is some wonderful insight ! We had received info that this was the name of the piece. 😃😃😃x
Estava com saudades de vocês saúde e bençãos para todos vocês ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
😍🙏
Love seeing you again!😊 ❤🇺🇸
I have so missed your wonderful faces! Love the walk and you took a licking in that cold wind. The finds were still worth it!
