Sultan Murad is one of the best Ottoman Sultan. His death is the saddest moments in whole magnificent century. I think if he got a long life he can be greater than Sultan Suleiman. Sultan Suleiman got a powerful and obedient kingdom. But Sultan Murad got a bankrupt, rebellious kingdom. Even his family members wanted to kill him. His own Mother killed him. His brothers wanted to be Sultan. So sad. But he fought until death. He is a LEGEND.

Following this story from the beginning (Anastasia)...I never could understand why she was always so surprised when someone close to her died......she was told that the price of her saving Ahmed's life was to see all she loved pass before her and was clearly asked if she was willing to pay that price....she said yes....now all her children are dead but one and he won't be too long either...grandchildren, hidden love, everything she cared for either dead literally or figuratively as in the case of Atike.
I love how beautiful and complex they portrait a relationship between a mom and her son. So deep, we don`t usually see this much effort into two people relationship when it is not a couple
This is what shows that Kosem and murad were both in love with each other they were both to an extent good, but life put them in trials that they were forced to turned their backs to each other … the last moment when died murad hugs Kosem as she is welcoming him with her arms shows everything ……

Another place....another time....Kosem and Kemankes.....could have been a love story. I think she did have deep feelings for him, and we know he did for her. Wanting to remain true to her dead husband (who she dearly loved) .....and for the sake of the dynasty.....she put state affairs first in her life.....keep it at all costs, constant concern of who was loyal etc., soldiers and staff etc. etc. She wanted a clear mind to focus on the matter at hand....the dynasty.

Maturity is realizing that when King Ahmed was very sick, Kosem had no choice but to visit the witch lady, who offered to spare Ahmed's life-but only if Kosem would have to live a lifetime grieving the loss of her own children and the people she loved. I came to understand that while she had forced Kosem to give up her own blood in order to appease the witch's cravings and gained power over her for the duration of her life, Ahmed had also died in a relatively short amount of time. To put it briefly, Kosem's life was controlled by that witch woman; otherwise, a normal person would not even consider remaining in that palace after killing their own children, but Kosem was able to kill her own children with the ease of a fly. Ohh, Kosem Sultan I had thought Sikander would have been your choice. Rather, you would have been happier and Safiye Sultan would have been happier but you had stayed by yourself and grieved for the suffering you caused yourself. Unfortunately, since you were already under the witch's spell, You weren't able to stop it.
The lesson from this tale is: May Allah shield us from all malevolent entities.

@@moosayounas7050 Corpses tend to be heavier and after some time they also become hard like a rock, impossible to bend. Taking only the head down there is pretty much easier than having few guards transporting the corpse around. Cause, as I said, İbrahim refused to leave his chamber. He needed clarification.

It looks like Kösem is responsible for the decay the Ottoman Empire eventually came to. She was so preoccupied with fighting her rivals (who were in fact legitimate heirs to the throne) that she neglected ruling the country. She longed for power above all, and I wonder whether it was she by chance who was to blame for Ahmed’s death

I cannot begin to imagine, being a mother, sons all stand to come to the throne.....one gets it, and her worries begin. Will he have his brothers all killed ? Will one cause a rebellion to over throw ? Will they, (or one of them) kill the new sultan ? (their own brother). What a nervous situation.

Although the Valide Kosem kill the Sultan Murad, you can see she actually lean all her heart to his son. Because Murad almost like his father Sultan Ahmed. If she didn’t kill Murad, she will die on Murad hands and the rest of her children. She doing that to save the next sultan which is Ibrahim. That my opinion:
She still didn't wanted to kill him, it was his illness that was killing him and his demise was inevitable, Kosem realized that, so she thought of protecting others who could ascend after him because he was gonna end the dynasty.

They butchered Kosem and Murad.
They try to make Kosem a Mary of Medicis ( or a Cixi I don't know) but they failed for me as I really like her ( even if I don't buy to the legend of a evil Mary of Medicis) and I don't think until Ibrahim death she was thirsty of power ( or at least a tyrant).
They make Murad an adult with always crisis of teen ( or a Henry VIII). Maybe the writters try to represent us as a "victim" of his mother but they failed as I dislike show Murad.

They messed up totally with Kosem and Murad(his personal life was made up and was different from his real)-the other part was kinda accurate.

Anyway Nurgul and Metin were meant for those roles(marvelious acting).
Also they butcher Turhan as well, they made her villain like Gulbahar Hatun(from series Fatih),even more evil ,while she wasn't like that, both were victims of Mehmed II and Ibrahim I irl.
