The executed Şehzade Kasım is buried. The whole palace mourns the death of the prince. While Sultan Murad (Metin Akdülger) is going to execute Şehzade İbrahim, a miracle happens. Sultan Murad gives up executing Şehzade İbrahim...
Sultan Murad IV makes a judgment about Kösem Sultan (Nurgül Yeşilçay), who is trying to dethrone him. Will Sultan Murad spare his mother's life?
Sultan Murad goes on a Baghdad expedition. Sultan Murad, who wants to take precautions against his mother, Kösem Sultan, takes Şehzade İbrahim on a campaign. Kösem Sultan thinks that Sultan Murad will kill İbrahim on the expedition. Even if it is difficult, he makes a decision about Sultan Murad...
Kösem Sultan learns that Sinan Pasha is a traitor. He catches Sinan Pasha when he is about to escape. Kösem Sultan and Sinan Pasha come to terms.
Sinan Pasha, on the other hand, has already disclosed the decision of Kösem Sultan to Sultan Murad… What will Sultan Murad do this time, after learning of the painful decision made by his mother?
Magnificent Century: Kosem is about Kosem Sultan married to the "State-i Aliyya", when her six-year-old son ascended to the throne, having the position of "Regent of the Sultanate", as well as the power gained by defeating all her enemies and becoming a sultan who brought the world to her knees with her regency. The power of Kosem Sultan became the greatest authority of the state through Murad IV, will be shaken by the iron fist of Sultan Murad, who wants to seize power. With his determination and might, Murad will give the Ottoman Empire its strongest period after Suleiman the Magnificent. The defeats of the state inside and outside will close the era.

Osman was indeed Ibrahim's son but Kosem wanted him and his mother disinherited from the line of succession because Osman was conceived before Ibrahim was officially made a Sultan. Since Ibrahim never went to a province that technically wasn't allowed. Not to mention Kosem didn't like Zarife because she tried to influence Ibrahim.
Later on Kosem banishes the both of them from the palace and at first Ibrahim tried to get them back. But eventually decides to let them go after it was discovered that Zarife and Osman converted to Christianity and Osman was in training to become a priest for the Catholic church.

That's because Mihrimah understood that everything her mother did, it was to protect all her brothers from certain death. Yes, Bayezid may have been Hurrem's preferred choice to become sultan but she never went as far as to pit her sons against one another. She didn't care which of her sons gets the throne. She just wanted to make sure that all her sons get to live. That's why she hated Nurbanu, because she was trying to influence Selim to fight for the throne and kill Bayezid. Kosem is different.
