What a disgraceful end . Hurrem sultan died with all the love and power amongst her loved ones and this queen got dragged by ordinary workers of harem while cried and begged . However if you are heartless enough to kill your own child , then this is it .
Exactly she destroyed everything Hurrem worked and suffered for. All those years of Hurrem building the Sultanate of Women while Kosem here burns it all down in flames.

I don’t know the real Kosem neither do you. “Unless you somehow went back in time and found out?” Everyone knows that not every storyline in Kosem matches the real story of her back then. I’m only stating what I’m seeing and comparing two different characters from two different shows; the prequel and the sequel. I find it rude when you said I was talking rubbish when I wasn’t even talking about or to you.

When they thought they were killing her, she took a breath. Everyone around her was terrified, even knowing that she would definitely be killed.
You must be strong and great in your life so that people will fear you even in death

But after all of her knights died she was nothing
Some people say that we always receive what we deserve, Kösem was wrapped by her own ambition which drove her to kill her own sons, it's sad to know that she came as Anastasia, a very innocent girl for the 17's Century world, and that with the passing of the years
she turned into a cruel coldess heart woman.
The way I see it, the people who wrote the story for this show did Anastasia/Kosem's character an appalling disservice towards the end of the series. They did everything they could to portray her as a monster who was willing to murder her own children to retain power, failing to help the audience fully understand why she did so many terrible things. People are not born pure evil and if we taught people that more often, I believe the world would be a much better place. Kosem was not an Ottoman to start with, she was a Greek. Before she became a sultana, she was nothing but your ordinary peasant girl living her life peacefully and happily on the island of Cephalonia with her family and her friends. Then, in an instant, her life had been turned upside down, being kidnapped by foreign marauders who came to take her away from her family and home to make her the glorified bed slave on the whim of an arrogant, womanizing, condescending autocrat who wanted nothing more than another girl to conquer on account of the mere fact that she was unlucky enough to be "very beautiful."
Anastasia was forced to survive in a foreign and hostile world where women could be killed simply for looking at people the wrong way. She absolutely, positively, did not deserve what she got in life, and even though we are all responsible for what happens in our own lives, more than anything else, aside from Anastasia, I blame Ahmed, Safiye, their lickspittles, their concubines, and everyone else in the godforsaken Ottoman court for what she turned out to be. The only thing that gives me solace throughout this whole story is the fact that in the end, each and every one of those people had or would have eventually gone into the grave with her with the passage of time and had to stand before their respective gods and answer for their great crimes against Anastasia and all of the people they hurt, manipulated, killed, and/or humiliated. On one final note, good riddance to those people and with the Ottoman Empire dead and gone, the world can only get better for its demise.

For those of you who managed to read all of my ranting up to this point, good on you, you're pretty good.
Nah, they didn't do her a disservice at all. This was a poetic end after all the misdeeds she's done throughout her life, towards her children, and so on. The corrupt system of the Ottoman Empire turning an innocent girl into a monster is pretty expected.

In real life, Hürrem Sultan died peacefully near her husband, Nurbanu Sultan retired from all political activity and she leaved the Imperial Palace in 1583 when her health failed and she died near her son in her own palace. Safiye Sultan died at the old palace with all her dignity and in peace. And then there is Kösem who is not able to accept that her era is over just like the previous sultanas did. I really don't like Kösem's character and for me she deserved no less than that after all she's done.

Many innocents concubines, servants, soldiers and pashas have been killed by Turhan and her party for nothing, all of this victims are the heart of harem. Turhan and her side make the same crime than Kosem, they killed many people of palace, they aren't better than Kosem's side but Kosem and her partisans died with honors without betraying Kosem. I think, Turhan haven't build a better harem and never rule the capital city of Istanbul with the love of Istanbul's residents. Turhan never loved by the inhabitants of Istanbul after her death, they always loved Kosem, they always prays Kosem as like a goddess and as like a icon. We know that they are rioting against Turhan and her government for many demandsThat the government reverse its stupidity of having killed Kösem, to preserve the social gains that they had during Kösem's lifetime and above all that Kösem have a fabulous funeral party and that she rests with her family in the burial room of her husband.

There is something that bugged me from the start, the Sultan Ahmed never once tried to show respect to Kosem Family, or send them letters or even bring them over to easae Kosem's worry, nothing it was monsterous. trying to conquer the world when he failed to conquer his own palace nor to create peace in it. Nor do i understand where just because he was the Sultan though loved Kosem so much he wanted her shameessly to accept it when he called other mistress his beloved like he did with Katerena or when he called Mahferoza his favorite infront of her Gosh

Kosem could have accepted that her reign was over she could have let Turhan rule as she was the Valide SUltan of her Son. But Kosem was stubborn and power hungry instead of retiring and dying of honour she rebelled and had an end like that. Where as Turhan was young and inexperienced she ruled with the help of the statesmen in the court. Sulatanate of Women oficially got over after her death.
It was Kosem who gave a chance to the court and Turhan to execute her, if she didn't try to kill her grandson, she would survive and respectfully leave the throne.

I can tell you for sure that Kösem Sultan was really killed and that her death was accurate here. Furthermore, her time as Valide Sultan was also real. The things they made up where some death dates (Ayse, Dilruba, Gevheran..) and some love stories (Farya - Murad, Kemankes - Kösem)

I don’t agree with all of her actions but her life was never easy. Osman whom she treated as her own child killed her real one (Mehmet) then dies at the hand of Davut. Murat killed both Kasim and Bayezid and played a part along with Atike in Gevherhan’s suicide. Five of her children were taken from her and the other were too cruel to stay living in this world.
