    One important question, with these big turbo, the lag of these 6266 turbo is bigger? Bigger lags complicate the driving experience specially on the curves. I have an Evo 8, and I am looking for a new turbo.

      We are comparing the same "size" turbo across versions. So in the case of the 6266, the NEXT Gen will make more power without any real loss of spool. If you are comparing say a stock TD04 from an EVO to the 6266, sure, those are 2 totally difference beasts...

    This is tempting to switch to this over my Gen. 2 6466. I’m curious how much different the spool would be

      They are very new and I am sure results will be posted as more users adopt them. Just looking at the numbers. It should net you additional response.

    Nice! So the 6266 Next Gen would produce as a 6466 gen 2 w better spool? Interesting.

      Yes, move up with power, move down with spool and turbo size :)

    Coming from my T3 housing Garrett GT3076R .63 housing to the newest 6266 how much more lag would I be expecting?
    Motor is a 2.0L Honda B series vtec motor. I want to keep the fast spool of the 3076R but want the ceiling for higher power in the 650whp range.

      The biggest difference will be in the turbine wheel The GT30 runs a 60mm, the 6266 runs a 66mm, that is where you will see a decrease in spool, however the older GT3076 is only about a 500HP capable turbo, so for a few hundred RPM difference you are gaining a huge upside :)

    Can you use the GEN2 compressor housing on the next gen as a super core? Thanks

    • @TurboKitscom
      @TurboKitscom  Před 8 měsíci +2

      You cannot, different compressor wheel aero, the supercore would need to be purchased.

    Is the gen 2 bb billet?

    • @TurboKitscom
      @TurboKitscom  Před 6 měsíci +1

      The Gen 1, Gen 2 and Next Gen all have billet compressor wheels. The aero dynamics of the wheels change throughout the version tho for more flow and better response. The Gen 2 and NextGens are Ball Bearing only.

    do all gen 2 and next gen turbos all use same design exhaust housings

    • @TurboKitscom
      @TurboKitscom  Před 6 měsíci +2

      If they use the same turbine wheel size, yes, so if you have a 6266 Gen 1 Journal bearing, or a 6266 Gen 2 ball bearing and want to upgrade to the Next Gen, you only need to purchase the Supercore, which is the CHRA and Compressor housing and it will drop right into your current set up :)

    • @TurboKitscom
      @TurboKitscom  Před 6 měsíci +2

      Alternately, if you had a 6266 Gen 2 and wanted to upgrade to the 6466 Next Gen, you could as well, since they both run the 66mm Turbine. However, you would not be able to upgrade from a 6266 to a 6670 Next Gen, as those have different turbines. You would have to purchase a whole turbo in order to jump turbine sizes.

      @@TurboKitscom so if i have a gen2 6466, i just need to buy the supercore and can just drop the old rear housing from the gen2 straight in

      @@ej207ontop Yes sir, 100%, if you already have a 6466 (or 6266/6766) the 6466 Next Gen Supercore will drop right in :) We have the SCP in stock!
