We want to test that theory!! :) But have not confirmed yet, looking at the SCs out there. We do believe it would fit.

Solid tuning, good fuel and the larger turbo comes on slower, so less torque stress down low in the revs!

I thought the ''turbo whistle'' came from turbine side? Less blades on the exducer = louder whistle
From both, the T51R mod amplifies the compressor sounds!
@@TurboKitscom Gotcha! Usually, I'd laugh at this type of mod. All show and no go.LOL! But years of owning a 03' 6.0 powerstroke and also a 07' 6.0 powerstroke both are stock . . But that iconic 03' whistle just makes the truck feel way more rowdy and fun to drive over the 07'.Even thou the later years were less laggy and a slightly better tq rating with smaller and quiet turbo LOL

@@unclebuck6291 No pre-done housings with no core, but you can always pull your comp housing and send it in for the mod.

Yes, it is on our radar, we still have a lot to do to finalize this current system, but it is something we would like to take on.
@TurboKitscom that would be sweet. there used to be a twin turbo kit using factory ecoboost turbos for a short while but covid killed it off. there are a few supercharger options but they seem to be lacking in performance for what they cost

This is the standard turbo, no T51R mod.

Yes, this is, no need to "get around" the ECU. HP Tuners has full ECU tuning capability. We send a base map, but can easily be tuned by any DYNO tuners in your area.

@@fastsubbie82 We'll get there, I had to "loan" our wastegate pipe to another tundra for testing, as soon as I have the replacement built and the exhaust quiets down so you can hear ONLY the turbo. We'll get more videos!

I put a turbo on it was a waste of money. It was no faster than stock
What year? Did you do the fueling and hydrostat adjustments to make sure the power is making it to the ground. Also, it won't change top speed without adjusting the RPMs, those are gear limited by RPM, but the turbo gets you to the top faster. We did a bunch of tests on the DYNO and I feel like it scrubbed off about 5 secs from 0 to 24 MPH.

I have a bone stock 2012 Corolla I bought it new it only has 41,000 miles on it. It’s also a 5 speed manual which was the last year. It supposedly has J-Spec from factory,and I’m really thinking about dropping a full turbo back kit in what have anyone seen or have any idea where to start. I’ve been working on cars since I’m 14 and I have a 91 Eagle AWD turbo. But any help with my daily Toyota would be appreciated a lot

Guess I need to start saving my money so I can get one of these kits. I have a white 2019 TRD Pro in Super white crew max. Plus I wonder how much louder that turbo would be with the t51r mod.
@@fastsubbie82 Perfect, we are just finishing up a 2019 now. Customer tows heavy and just did a test tow with a 7000lbs camper and it was mint. He said he feels like he found 2 gears, as he no longer has to rely on throttle and revs to keep it moving. We just got the T51R mod in for our shop truck. We'll have it installed in a few days and post up a video :)

One important question, with these big turbo, the lag of these 6266 turbo is bigger? Bigger lags complicate the driving experience specially on the curves. I have an Evo 8, and I am looking for a new turbo.
We are comparing the same "size" turbo across versions. So in the case of the 6266, the NEXT Gen will make more power without any real loss of spool. If you are comparing say a stock TD04 from an EVO to the 6266, sure, those are 2 totally difference beasts...
I have an 7670 IWG and i'd like to upgrade to an 8374. Would these rear housings be interchangeable if I milled out the turbine housing to 74mm?
I mean, sure, if you can machine out the turbine housing and both of them are B2 frame. Then I don't see why not.

Im on a lap3 stage 2 tune running 300 to 320 wheel horse so if i got this turbo kit and kept the same stage 2 tune what would i be roughly running at for power without the water meth

You would need a tune specific to this turbo upgrade. It is completely different from the stock turbo or a stock stuffed turbo.

If you are talking about actually converting to the 2.0T motor. Probably be cheaper to sell your 2.4 and find / buy a proper 2.0T. If you are asking about putting the turbo kit, onto the 2.4L, yes, we have had a few customers do that over the years. It's not 100% drop in, but gets you very close, just some tweaks to the intercooler and piping, but the majority of the hot side parts are the same.
Oh, first step would be to make sure you have tuning lined up before any of the hard parts are changed.
I picked one of these up for my mkiv supra now all I have to do to rip those old twins out 😅

Yeah, so far so good, we have well over 100 of these kits on the market and do not see consistent engine failures at the 8ish PSI level the stock engine is run at.
I'm torn between a next gen 6466 and a next gen 6870. I'm in a G80 M3 with a 6MT and want to do a single turbo kit. I am not looking for big top end power and want a faster spool for road course racing. However, since they're the same cost, my shop is recommending the 6870 since they're saying that the next gen 6870 spools very quickly and the only downside is waiting for one since PTE is struggling to keep them in stock vs a 6466 which is already in stock. 6870 leaves cushion to go bigger power down the line and not utilising the turbo as hard vs the 6466 since I'm looking to stay around the 750-800whp range for now. Any thoughts? Is there a noticeable spool difference between the two?
The 6466 and 6870 run 2 different exhaust wheels, so if spool is what you are after then the 6466 NEXT gen (www.turbokits.com/precision-6466-next-gen-billet-ball-bearing-turbo-1000hp.html) will spool faster compared, however, if you ever think you will want to push for more power in the future, you can start with the 6870 NEXT Gen (www.turbokits.com/precision-next-gen-6870-billet-ball-bearing-turbo-1200hp.html) now, giving up a bit of response, but have the room for more power in the future. Since the 6466 NEXT Gen is a 1000HP turbo, 800-900WHP will be it MAX MAX, the 750-800 you are looking for will be right in the sweet spot. But if your goals turn to the 4 digit range in the future, you will run out of flow with the 6466 compared to the 6870. Also, we have the 6466 NEXT Gens in stock, so if you need something without the delay, we can get that out fast. Thanks for your interest!

No, the compressor housing needs to match the wheel design and contour. If you have a 6466 Gen 2, you would need to purchase the NEXT Gen 6466 Supercore in order for it to be a direct swap out.
