Thanks for the shoutout - great video!
Thanks to you too!
I bought mine in 2001 & still use it today. So underrated but IMHO still better than anything Akai have released since. So much control with real knobs & buttons puts the RS7000 in a class of its own.
Try to get both my rm1x and rs7000s to work both aren’t booting. Replaced all the caps in the rs7000 still no boot.
Even if I don't have the RS I enjoyed the full tutorial just for the sound you get out of it. You a really a master on this box. Well done!
Many thanks mate! I really appreciate your feedback on the channel. Is the song mode very different from the RM1x song mode?
@@sonfx I barely use song mode on the RM1x but it seems to work almost the same way - however the pattern chain mode is way more cumbersome on the RM1x. You cannot record in this mode but have to build the pattern table from scratch.
Thanks to show this fella👊
You got it man 👊
Once again a splendid video with clear explanation and Great Sounds 👏👏👏👏
Thanks mate! It's always a pleasure reading your comments 👍
Love your tutorials, thank you! 🎛🔊🎶
My pleasure - I'm very glad you like them.
Love yer video's Sonny! great info and awesome music!
Thanks maat! 👊 Looking forward to seeing an RS in your videos 😀
I havent seen your channel for a while. I'll go in and have a listen soon. Looking forward
great video - many thanks
Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate the support!
so cool!
THANKS! 👍
Hope I will catch the workflow with my own RS7000 😊
Sooo much thx 4 inspiration
My pleasure mate! I'm very happy to hear it's helpful for you 👍
Thanks for this I never used the song mode. I would chain patterns & record it the MPC2500.
You got it! Sounds like a good way too. Does the 2500 have multiple ins?
I don't really use song mode either but it's cool that they put it in there.
@sonfx It has 1 pair of stereo inputs & 10 outs. Mines just died while moving 65 beats to the Akai Force. Luckily, I had an MPC 1000 to finish the job. Now moving 20 RS7000 beat to it. I want to redo everything there with all the other new equipment & experience I have now. I have enough music to make 5 albums!
thank you so much for doing this. i use the RS completely as a sequencer for external midi gear and use none of the internal sound stuff so i am mostly interested in workflow and sequencer capabilities. cheers!
Cool! Glad it is helpful.

Recent video from a vintage gear : great !
Thanks for the comment! The RS packs some tricks that even many units from now still lack.
@@sonfx Yes I discover that recently, I'm now looking for to get one...
@@onceanquagh it's well worth it, imo! I have more videos on how to operate it. Feel free to ask if there's anything you want to know!
@@sonfx Yes i have full questions :
I see that the beat kit is on a keyboards on one channel (like old gears CH10). Is it possible to work on each sound on by one (FX, modulations) ?
Is there a max polyphony by channel ?
User can create a keyboards with multiple sounds ?
I'm curious to hear waht is the range of possibilities with synth OSC modultations (is it like K-station or microkorg ?)
@@onceanquagh
There are dedicated BD, SD, HH and Perc kits so you can have various tracks with independent sends.
The polyphony is shared across all channels.
I don't own any of those synths so I can not compare them to the RS.

thanks a lot for this video! Just a question around method 2, can you record the muting and unmuting parts instead of changing scenes?
Thanks for the comment, I'm glad it is helpful. Yes! You can do that as well.
