Breathe some fresh air into your RS7000 with this styles pack: sound7.co.uk/products/yamaha-rs7000-abstrctd
You’re on a roll, making the best instructional content on CZcams for RS-7000, bar none.
That's very good of you to say, thank you very much!!
The Synth Dr has repaired my rs7000 so I'll check in periodically Sony
That's good news! I hope you'll get to make some great music.
Thanks for showing how incredible this machine is for composing.
I'm glad you like it. Thanks for watching and thanks for your comment!
wow! nice one! these tutorials are really superb, and they really help me get my head round the rs7000 system. thank you!
I'm pleased to read they're helpful! Thanks for your continued support. 🙏
The RS7000 is a dope machine I wish I still had mines or could find one
Shouldn't be too difficult. They appear on Reverb and Ebay with regular intervals!
@@sonfx I've been trying for a while I just gotta keep at it
@@dreskills2k are you in Europe?
@@sonfx No U.S.
I'm excited to learn this sophisticated workstation Amigo. Trying to keep these collector machines in pristine order . They will be airlooms I hope
❤❤❤
Well done Sonny. Wonder if there's sound packs so I can bypass the factory grooves n such.
Thank you Domingo. If I understand you correctly, you're looking for custom phrases, is that it?
Thanks Alot for sharing this man, very interesting! New to production and I only bought an emx-1 a couple of days ago but damn I'm already thinking of getting one of these as there's someone selling one near me....ahhhhh!
Thanks for your comment! I've always been curious about the EMX. That one and the ESX are, like the RS, from the golden era of grooveboxes. I'm sure they'll play very well side by side.
@@sonfx Obviously this is an old bit of kit and with that comes with certain features you sacrifice compared to newer stuff, but would you recommend this for someone who is new to music production? I think the workflow is more complex than the emx-1 but at the same time it seems to be more flexible, which is strange considering its 2 years older than the electribe
@@harryyes1527 I think "beginner" vs "seasoned" is the wrong question here. It boils down to if you can get along with it or not. If your way of thinking is in line with how the menus are structured, where the buttons are placed and how it sounds. Some people make phenomenal music with minimal equipment, and others just collect instruments and don't know how to use them.
All this said...what I know about Korg is that their stuff is usually super intuitive. I believe the RS is the more complex unit of the two. Maybe a bit less direct, but deeper :)
@@sonfx So I just went to collect an rs7000 from someone, they said it was working and in immaculate condition and we agreed on £450. I get to the house and plug it in, the screen comes on but nothing is being displayed. There is also something rattling around inside. So we open it up and 4 capacitors have come off the board. The guy thought he might be where its been sitting in his loft in the heat. I was frustrated because i had driven 90 minutes to get it but i thought there could be another opportunity here but a risk also. So we talked about it and I ended up giving him £150 for it and a gentleman's agreement that if it was a cheap quick fix i would send him another £100. Anyway I've taken the motherboard out and ordered some new capacitors, I have a friend who can solder so I may just been in with a chance of it working. Worst case i can just take it apart and sell the bits separately. But yeah figures crossed I can get this thing up and running! :D
Im not sure how much memory comes with but I will pay for full card of sounds/rhythms
I have plans on creating an educational pack, including detailed videos and project files but if you want something custom we can figure something out. Please send me an email (you'll find the address in the 'about' section) and we'll discuss a bit further. Thanks!
