  • Ol' Skool acid jam, featuring sampling and sample playback on the RS7000 of George Bush Snr. I use a Korg padKontrol (awesome controller) for hand triggering sample slices. I sequence and play drums with the RS7000 with some additional bass drum bolstering from a Novation DrumStation TR-808 emulation. Two acid patterns are playing, one sequenced and played by the RS7000, the other sequenced and played by a Roland TB-3 which is just out of view in the video. Sound is live in the room, recorded with a mic on my camera (it works). The mix and groove picks up as the video progresses, so please stay with it. All constructive comments are welcome, please give a thumbs up if you like this. Enjoy!

AC Wekker thanks for the comment. No other videos on hand, happy to do one though. TB-3 is very authentic sounding.

Dave Able The material you are downloading is it audio or MIDI? For Audio, I sample directly into the RS via the audio in jacks. As for MIDI, well that another story. I always create my own MIDI, that said if you use someone elses MIDI you should import your MIDI to a Track (say track 9, which by default is assigned outgoing MIDI Channel 9). You then make sure Track 9 is playing "TR" which is the internal Synth (check this on the setup menu) and then selct the instrument you want for Track 9 (mixer menu), then you should be right to go. If there is something in the downloaded MIDI the RS can't understand or possibly something that changes parameters unexpectedly, you'll have to clean up that MIDI. Good luck with your project.
