About Fly Corp:
Develop your own transport network in various countries and cities: open new routes, buy new planes and upgrade them, increase capacity of the airports!
Control the passenger flow!
The game features an advanced passenger flow system. All the cities are real, and their population is like in their real analogues. The more population is the more people would like to fly somewhere. Each passenger has their own destination and they’ll fly with transfers if there’re no direct routes. You won’t have enough money to connect each city to all the other cities, so you’ll have to analyze the situation and make decisions about where the transport hub is going to be situated.
Just like planes, airports have their maximum capacity. You’ll lose even if one of them gets overloaded.
The whole world is your playing field!
Almost 200 countries and tens of thousands of cities all around the globe are available to you! You can build an airport in each city and begin transporting passengers. Different locations mean that you’ll have to adapt: while in Europe distances are small and it’s very easy to manage your network there, you’ll have to think about connecting distanced cities because the longer the route is, the more you’ll have to pay for opening it.
Different game modes - “Unlock all countries” and Challenges
Your task in “Unlock all countries” is to open every country in the world (it will cost you in-game money to unlock each of them) and cover the whole planet with your network. It is necessary to unlock a new country each 6 minutes, or you’ll lose.
Challenges are various scenarios with certain pre-set conditions and goals to reach. For example, to survive for some period of time or to earn specific amount of money. Each challenge is unique: in some of them you’ll have to quickly connect constantly unlocking airports, while in the other - to rebuild your network due to coronavirus outbreak in a country.
Random events won’t let you get bored
Sometimes, random events will occur. They can be positive (investments into your company, for example), negative (disasters blocking flights to some countries or from them), and even ridiculous (a businessman sued you because of spilled coffee in turbulence zone). You don’t know what to expect.
Compete with other players!
Each challenge has a high score table. Points are added for transporting passengers, earning money and buying infrastructure. Try to become the best!

You could try adding direct routes for big cities that are far from each other, that way there won't be as much pressure on the smaller airports on the way between.
Exactly, the problem with Prague was lacking connection from other big cities to Rome
He needs to make Lyon a megaport with spiderweb of upgraded routes, then connect that to frankfurt, which connects to berlin as the 3 main ones.
imo he should make them the bug hubs instead of frankfurt
The better system is once you start making more money build a web with major cities connecting to eachother and minors connecting to nearby cities. Then if a major city, like say Paris, wants to go to a minor in another country, like say Munich, at a high rate you would build a route directly to there. All minor cities would only need to take on smaller groups as the major hubs would pull the bulk of things and you could focus on making Berlin amd the other capitals become the massive airline hubs they are IRL with the less traveled cities having small hubs that will eventually get you to your destination, either by being routed through 4 cities to Berlin then Paris or simply going through 2 cities to get to Rome from Germany. Basically build it out like the internet and don't just have a massive central hub that takes the full brunt of travel.
This is called: hub-spoke Strategy
The problem with RCE’s videos is I always end up buying the game after the video :/
Same, omg. I have no money left, RCE! Stop playing these amazing games!

It will be interesting to see whether this game encourages the point to point model, or the hub and spoke model.
THAT was my question too :D :)
I don't know if Spoke would work too well, it would take a lot of upgrading and this game seems like it likes to fuck you over at the worst times 😂
I think H&S would be best at the start, as you reduce the number of routes you need, but P2P will be more efficient as your income increases.
whats actually better... irl.

Wow. I love the concept of this type of games and airlines make more sense than highways. Plus Czech Republic being represented in a game? Hell yeah. I'm gonna create a new addiction later today.
Part 2!!
Games like this make for an interesting exercise to solve programmatically. I often implement the games I play as Excel data models and then create simulations. :)
All of them have a bootstrap stage where most people get destroyed, but once you’re past that scramble, you’re able to make strategic choices.
This game feels less chaotic than motorways. That game is brutal.
You'll want to keep using level 1 planes as long as possible: There's an event that lets you upgrade them all with a 50% discount. I've yet to see a corresponding event for putting more planes on routes though.
I, for one, would love this to become a series. It's very enjoyable to watch.
So here a few tips since I already played the game as well: (note that these are from personal experience, might be the best options but it's the best I can share)
- Upgrade more planes, it's very useful and very efficient, specially on not too long routes, but also on longer routes where the passengers accumulate as the plane is on it's way.
- Don't look so much to where they want to go, all airports will have a passenger that will go to one of your airports at some point.
- Try making it realistic, because of course irl they also made the systems and infrastructure to be optimal. So make some main airports, that will link to smaller one's and to capitals. Prioritize mostly from capital to capital and bigger one's to capital.
That's all I can really tell you, hope it works out well. Btw I love that you played this now, specially since I played it too not too long ago. Greetings from Spain
I think it would be cool to something like "hub rings". Basically, connect all your big cities (such as the capitals) in a mesh network. Then have regional mesh networks in the countries connect at one or two points to the national hub ring. I think this would allow you to manage the big hub cities easier and still allow for efficient travel within the countries.
Epic that my Country is the beginning of the Game
Rce is really good at playing games in a way that makes me want to get the game and play it better/try something different.
In this case, it's him using airports as hubs, meaning everyone is going to the hub in order to get to other places, and when he looks at the hub's numbers, he sees that all the people at the hub have an easily accessible route to where they want to go next.
For example:
Say 40 passengers want to go to paris and 10 to nice from berlin. All 50 go to paris, but now paris says it has 10 passengers who want to go to nice. But if there was also a route from berlin to nice, it would have been 2 planes, one with 40 people and the other with 10, and paris would've had 10 more spots available for new trips.
To test my theory that states "Every RCE will notice your comment if the requierments of the strongest shape are met", I will use the scientific method:
THE
STRONGEST
SHAPE
Oh bollocks...
This was a really fun episode, only problem being my constant “connect all airports to their nations capital and have all the international flights be from capital to capital” but I have no experience in this field so there is nothing to back my belief that that is the best way to do it
I do this and seems to sorta work out so far
It works okay for me as well
I do the same thing, connecting neighbouring contries' capitols to it, and it works amazing!

Missed the opportunity for “peace, love, and sky bridges” as airline routes are kind of like invisible sky bridges
Here in Brazil the line with constant quick flights between Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo is literally dubbed "ponte aérea", meaning "airway bridge" in direct translation.

For me, the part that changed mini-motorways from a hellscape of anxiety to a really fun game was the pause feature, and the costless refund of roads. Without those, this style of game just isn't really for me.
This one has also a pause feature. RCE just making it hard on himself.
@@Shuro2005 There's a pause button, but pressing it just opens the escape menu, at least in the demo it does. There's no way to interact while paused, or even just pause t take stock of what you have going on, sadly.

Your pronunciation of some of the german cities just made my day!
Since I am from Germany and I know Mannheim it's just so funny. But I also thought everytime you sad Mannheim 'No thats Monnnem' (Mannheim in Palatine dialect)
This seems more like mini metro than mini motorways. Interesting.
What I learned from this game, is that the "hub and spread" strategy works. Make one big airport in all countries and then every city in that country is connected to that one only. Every main hub is connected to at least 2 other main hubs. It is very effective and it works perfectly against locked down cities and countries.
I live next to the Munich Airport im happy you liked your visit :D
This was amazing !!! Please make a series of this game !!!
Love this channel! Keep up the awesome/funny work.

Thats why we call it the "heart of europe" hahaha
Make this a series please looks fun as hell
Sadly you didint unlock my little country lithuania. Btw love this game. Keep your good work up. Cant wait for another epesode :)
Pro Tip: Don't make hubs, Use a circle and then use extra money to upgrade, Getting new planes is worse than upgrading planes in the speed and capacity part, If you get a round/revolving route, Planes can easily leave and head to other cities, Planes that are transferring usually instantly come out, So always try and have two level two planes.
A friend showed me this and it seemed effective so I've used it ever since.
A recommendation is to make every smaller town go to a capital direct and then connect the capitals together so you only need to upgrade the capitals ( amazing video)
I want to see more of this! Please add an episode number to make it easier to catch up later
Why do I always have the urge to buy every game that youre playing? RCE STAHP!
watching all the stress is oddly satisfying
The civil engineer should have made more airline paths so the over relied on airports won't be as risky
"everyone wants to go to berlin"
makes the journey as roundabout as possible thus overloading the stop just before berlin.....
these type of games are always fun
Definitely want a part 2 ^^
In the real world airlines operate mostly hub and spoke. You should make your bigger or more centralized cities into hubs, with spokes connecting out to the smaller cities. Also connect your hubs together across or between countries with your upgraded planes to shift some of that volume to other regions. Try not to have more than three connections per route as that is rather inefficient. After you get your hubs and spokes running, then you can try to build some direct routes, but try to implement those into a hub and spoke model if you can.
